kung port-based firewalling lang naman, baka hindi na kelangan double double. just control the outgoing (egress) and the incoming (ingress), pwedeng sa MT na kung sya yung sa edge. while yung pfsense mo maybe ay may snort or suricata for advanced protection.

question lang po sa mga pfsense users ng 2.2.6 pede ko po ba malaman ano po ang setup nyo sa pfsense nyo sa my mga internet shop or ano magandang setup sa pfsense ko meron po kasi ako 10mbps with 12PCs nag lalag po kasi mga ng games pag my ng video streaming, nag try ako maglimiter upload/download using pfsense pero pag enable ko nawawalan ng connection ung mga pc ko thanks.

plano kong bumili ng router to minimize lag sa online games kahit may nagyoutube .. small shop lang , 8 cpu 1 isp. not tech savvy. gusto ko lang may effective QOS para sa lag.. undecided kung mikrotik R951, hap lite ( ganda kasi ng mga review nio) or Cdrking cw5356.. at friendly user ba ang mikrotik???

@jessalie kung bitin sa budget try mo muna mag TP-Link router meron yun bandwidth management, yun gamit ko dito sa shop 25 na units.

i'm happy with my combination:
At the edge: Sophos UTM with Webfiltering and Applications Control Filtering, Network IPS Modules,
then followed by Mikrotik Mangle, Simple Queue and Queue Tree for Dynamic Traffic or Bandwidth Shaping.
So my vote is Mikrotik. :)

Magkano ba inaabot basic hardware at config nito? 8mbps DSL 21 clients
Gaano kaya kalaki improvement nito compared sa PFsense (cost performance ratio)
