Gigabyte motherboard problem

• @alonsomarcin

• Good evening po. Share ko lang din yung nabili ko. H81M-DS2 v2.1.

eto kalat na ngawa nila sa buong mundo- B85 chipset--> <click here for link>

\"After some comparisons the boards and indeed, revision 2.0 of the board have downgraded, one phase less, cheaper components. After putting it to the test, it became apparent that the performance of that motherboard is slower as well. It is mentioned that the Rev 1.0 B85M-HD3 motherboard does throttle back the CPU and measured MOSFET temperatures around 80°C during video transcoding. Now, for revision 2.0 it takes merely 6 minutes before the board throttles the CPU back to 800MHz as MOSFET temperatures of 105 to 112°C have been reached due to the hardware differences.\"
• Just to update. Still no feedback from DTI. PH govt talaga oh. :(

Anyway, nabasa ko yung point nung mga ilang reviews. and binanggit nila yung EAN number. Pakita ko na rin dito na yung nabili ko ay same ang EAN number for two revisions. We don\'t really look at them, but stores do.

Kaya siguro nagkakamali yung ibang stores sa pagpopost ng ads nila kasi akala nila same EAN number is same motherboard pero di na pala. Probably what happened to me and to others dito na nakakbili nung revised mobo ng gigabyte.

• Magkaiba talaga kapag magkaiba ang revision number.

Noong naghahanap ako ng mobo. Napapansin ko karaniwan yung revision number. Iba-iba ang cater nila. Meron revision that caters the legacy hardware.

• @rushjudge:

Malaki kasi zoomed in na syempre. Haha!

Anyway, I\'ll believe the review and statements made on these. Salamat sa nagpaalala sa akin nito sa FB. <click here for link> Hopeful for an official statement by Gigabyte on this one though.

If Gigabyte had provided a different product and EAN code for the Rev 2.0 and Rev 3.0 boards, as well as updated product photos to the shops, there would not be much of a problem as far as we\'re concerned. In that case it would be clear to everyone that these are new, different products where the specifications and test results of earlier revisions do not necessarily apply to the newer revisions.

Now however a shop or end user can order a board based on reviews of the original and receive a product that is clearly different and, as we illustrated in this test, potentially inferior. And that is very questionable indeed.

The analysis of the B85M-D2V is shocking as Gigabyte has removed a feature from the original list of specifications, i.e. Dual BIOS. It\'s like ordering a car from a catalogue and discovering a missing right hand side mirror on delivery: not acceptable.

With the B85M-HD3 at least on paper there seems to be less of an issue: all the original Rev 1.0 specs are present in Rev 2.0. To play devil\'s advocate: Gigabyte doesn\'t promise anywhere that the board comes with a 4-phase power supply. Still, even if it passes muster legally, this is hardly the way to do business. Our test results moreover show that the Rev 2.0 has a potentially lower lifespan thanks to its lower number of mosfets and without any doubt will deliver lower performance than the first version in normal consumer applications (such as video encoding).

<click here for link>

You see, Gigabyte doesn’t change the EAN/UPC codes for their revisions so the distributor who’s importing the motherboards (Ingram Micro in this case) has no clue about the changes and assumes it’s the original rev1.0 board. By keeping the EAN/UPC code the same across revisions, the dealer or distributor cannot identify the different versions in their stock and hence sell the newer boards for the same price.

In reality, the new versions costs a lot less for Gigabyte to manufactures since they’ve reduced the features and components but continue selling it at the same price, keeping both the distributor and end-user completely oblivious to what’s really happening. With such drastic changes, this qualifies the new versions to have completely different model name since it’s not the same motherboard anymore.

• Maraming salamat @ultradurable.
• Hi guys, I finally met with the guys from DTI and the shop. Bale andami nilang nakipagmeet sa akin, mga lima from the shop, and distributor ata or mismong sa Gigabyte na. Fast forward to the explanation about the reduction of components, the R2.1 uses different components daw, according to the guy from tech guy... I think galing to sa repair center ng GB. Again, different components should merit a different review and performance, in this case mas panget performance ng \"different components\" nila... This should also have a different EAN/UPC code na.

Then there was another person who emphasized that the motherboard’s total cost of production isn’t something that we are all aware of (which is primarily why I had to complain), and thus, the company may make adjustments accordingly. He also said that the motherboard is actually an honest product, as unlike tech products with cases (he had iPhone and my laptop for examples), you can see what you have paid for. Itong \"honest product\" na to, definitely not the revision products, as proven by reviews and articles.

The two guys have somehow explained their side, although of course, feeling ko talaga hind masyadong naexplain kasi parang kung honest talaga yung product, bakit iba yung lumalabas na reviews?

She said that they are really busy, and acted as if they are the only ones who were disturbed by their advertisement inaccuracy.

Anyway, nakapag-agree na kami sa isang solution, pero the way they have explained to me is not that acceptable.

• Since I only have 1 hour to mediate with them, binigyan na lang ako ng mas direktang kontak sa service center at sa disty. pag daw nasira, itawag lang dun. I was aiming for replacement, pero mukhang di ata aim ng DTI yun. More on \"mediation\" nga... Kung nasa US tayo palit agad to.

ok ba yun?

Then after 5 seconds, reboot yung system.

Motherboard: Gigabyte F2A75M-HD2 Rev 1.2

sinubukan ko na mag BIOS Recovery, ganun parin,, sinubukan ko narin tanggalin CMOS Battery at CLEAR CMOS, still the same.. sinubukan ko narin mag update ng BIOS using Q-FLASH ng gigabyte.. but still the same.. :(

God bless!
• GIGABYTE B150M-D3H / DDR4
"object doesn't support this property or method"
line: 20
char:2
url: file///E:/UI2.js
• Yung Gigabyte motherboard ko na GA-F2A75M-D3H , pag press ko ng power on, mag on lang sya for a 1sec or a split second then off na uli. (ikot fan ng psu and system fan for a split second then off agad). Pag sinubukan uli i-on, no response na. Pero pag inunplugged ang ac cord, then plug uli, ganun uli. Tried another psu, ganun din. Tried with everything disconnected including processor, as in psu and motherboard lang pero ganun pa rin.

Sira na po kaya motherboard? purchased 3yrs ago.
