Hi, I noticed 10-11C differential on temps on my laptop CPU and I was wondering if repasting will solve this issue or its a problem with the core itself?
Max and the average temp have constant 10C differential, but in idle cores stay the same temps maybe 1-2C difference only. The CPU is already undervolted by -0.120mV using Intel XTU.
Holding on to my i7 6700K. No plans on upgrading anytime soon.
^I built my rig in June 2016 with an i7-6700K CPU, it was highest-end 4-core desktop CPU then. I overclocked it a bit to 4.5 GHz (using a lower voltage compared to what a normally-clocked CPU on "Auto" settings receives, haha). I don't do anything CPU-intensive though aside from gaming, so it remains snappy and I have absolutely no urge to replace it with anything newer.
Having completed my desktop rig, I'm focusing on a laptop next. I hope to get the latest Dell XPS 13 (with the 8th-generation core i7) before the year ends. :-D
Saan po ba ako pwede magpacheck-up/magpaayos around the Metro? (preferably South)

may mali ka sa installation baka di mahigpit yung retention or di mo na set sa bios yung pump speed and fan profile .
My Skylake i7-6700K is overclocked to 4.5 GHz using a Vcore of 1.264V and it idles at around 32 C, on full load it hits around 80's. I'm using a Frostflow 240L AIO liquid cooler. I looked at reviews of the SilverStone Tundra TD02-Lite and it's a good cooler so I'm sure that the choice of cooler isn't the problem. So, like gaLj mentioned there must be a problem with the installation (thermal paste, not screwed tight enough, forgot to remove the plastic cover from the copper base of the cooler (yes, this has happened before to a TPC member!), etc.) or setup issues (pump not running at 100%, etc.).

Yeah.
Another possibility is the orientation of the cooler. Placement could affect the performance, it may be getting enough airflow to push the air out.
Salamat po sa mga replies nyo, I will definitely get this checked sa PC Express (ATC) bukas. Do you have other places to recommend where I can get my setup checked?

Ambient temperature will affect the temperature (idle and load) of the CPU. If the ambient temperature in your room is 30 C, it is impossible for the CPU's idle temperature to be also 30 C.
CPU temperature will always be higher than ambient temperature unless you will use liquid nitrogen cooling.
Idle Delta T = CPU idle temperature - ambient temperature
Load Delta T = CPU load temperature - ambient temperature
For idle Delta T, the best I got was about 4 C even during the time of Intel LGA 1156 CPU's
Microsoft stepped up and released a OS-level microcode Spectre patch for Skylake. Good thing since I wasn't expecting motherboard and laptop manufacturers to release new UEFI BIOS updates with the microcode updates since they tend to stop updating after about 18 months after the product's release.

Medyo mainit na ang 86C for Core i5-2400 considering na soldered CPU ang Sandy Bridge and you are using a 3rd party aircooler. Baka kailangan na sir linisin and re-apply new thermal paste? Or linisin narin ang fans and dust filters ng case para mas maganda airflow?
Pero if you are overclocking the CPU (plus 400MHz Turbo) and using high speed DDR3-2133 memory, baka mataas na ang voltage kaya mataas din ang temps.
tanong lang mga masters dito. plan ko kase mag upgrade ng cpu and other components. hindi naman ako nag mamadali sa pag upgrade and I can wait until december if may lalabas na bagong model. Ang tanong ko po, worth it ba na bumili na ngayon ng i7 8400 ngayon or antay2 nalang muna ako? salamat!
this happened to my MSI B250M Mortar when I assembled my pc last year and after searching the internet I found that this is normal,
at startup some motherboards and/or psu supply full voltage for their fan/s to ensure that they are spinning, thus creating a loud hum, after a few seconds then the bios settings or motherboard settings take over and run the fan/s at speeds you set them to run (50% 75% etc),
