Converge ICT Fiber ISP Thread (never ever hard reset your modem and refer to page 1 for FAQs)

  • Totoo bang 1 month bago pwede palitan password ng converge router, yan kasi sinabi ng naginstall, observe daw kasi muna ng 1 month
  • ^pagkaalis ng installer binutingting ko kagad yung settings ng router para baguhin router password at lan address, sinabayan ko na rin pag activate ng mac filter.

    Just try not to hard reset kasi mawawalan ka ng internet. Need mo itawag para lang maayos nila. Only happened to me once.
  • ^Kung may access ka sa admin gui, pwede mo yan kopyahin ung config tapos ikaw na mag-apply kung sakali ma-reset mo. Ganyan lang ginawa nung huling nagpunta dito. Check lang niya sa phone ung config (screenshot) then ok.

    @dyeyesdyi, baka ung router gui access ang tinutukoy hindi ung wifi password?
  • I still have the frequent disconnection issues as of now, observation ko lang, I realized that the problem started ever since na in-avail ko yung 99 pesos promo nila na 10 mbps additional speed, question ko lang rin sa iba with the same problem kung nag-avail rin ba sila nun?
  • All of these micro-disconnections happened after the speed upgrade. When my internet speed was still 50 mbps, I didn't have these disconnections. But when my speed was upgraded to 75 mbps, this is when these disconnections started happening.

    May nakita rin kasi ako sa facebook na post dun sa converge group, the guy also stated na nagsimula magloko yung internet nila ever since mag upgrade sila nung sa promo, I wonder kung pwede i-revert yung promo.
  • @berrynice, @chert ano modem nyo ? 2 antenna or 4 antenna?

    Nag-avail din ako niyan wala ako issue sa disconnection. I'm using the old modem (no antenna)

  • I'm using the modem with 4 antennas. Before, I had the modem with no antennas but Converge changed it.
  • ^ They were planning to change mine too sa modem na 2 antennas. Sabi babalik daw sila, pero sana hindi na bumalik, haha. Babalik siguro kung magkaroon ng problema.

    Marami nga report about sa 4 antennas about sa disconnection. May nabasa ata ako dito or sa facebook na sabi ng tech eh overheat daw ang cause. Parang hindi naman kapani-paniwala un. Halos 15-20 hours nga daily naka-on modem ko.

    I've been on the 4 antenna modem since May and the 1 hour and 30 minute problem only happened this January 2019 when they had a surge of subscribers and offered the upgrades. I have a feeling their network is overloaded.

    Disconnecting with both models. I'm wondering how different the two models are really.
  • Hi. May update po ba sa configuration ng narestore factory na router? Wala pa ding help from Converge day 4 na. :( Sana may makatulong
  • ^Day 5 or day 6 (mostly weekends) sila pupunta sa bahay assuming may ticket number ka na? 2 times na kasi lagyan ganyan schedule nila saken.
  • wala ba static IP option tong modem nila? di ko mahanap e. AN5506-04 yung model
  • Sa mga gumagamit ng original ssid and modem for wifi at palaging may bandwidth/connection problems, i-check nyo kung may naka- connect sa network nyo ng di nyo alam. Baka mamaya eh free wifi na kayo ng barangay. Alam naman natin madaling manakaw ang wifi service ng converge kasi ayaw pagalaw yung modem nila.

    I highly doubt that's the case, at least for people in this thread. Medyo obvious na satin dito na i-secure kaagad yung wifi network natin with at least WPA encryption.
  • The modem has nothing to do with the micro-disconnections every 1.5 hours. I had this 4-antenna modem when my internet speed was still at 50 mbps and I had none of these disconnections at all. It was only when my speed was upgraded to 75 mbps when all of these disconnections started happening.

    This problem all started when they had a surge of subscribers and upgraded people's plans.

    Sa alam ko kasi maraming users ang gumagamit ng default ssid and password, lalo na sa FH white modem. Also, maraming nakakalat na info sa net tungkol sa pag-login sa wifi ng kapitbahay ng walang paalam. Anyway, kung not applicable sa case nyo, di ok.

  • Di ako makaconnect sa mga servers ! (PUBG, CSGO, APEX) lahat ayaw.
    ANo kaya problem? Tried everything pero ayaw talaga..

  • So I just got a reply from Converge again re: 1 hour and 30 minute disconnection.

    I feel like they don't really know what to do with the problem, or they're just ignoring it.

    I email them every week with ping reports and stuff, and that is basically their reply every single time.

    Like I've been suggesting before, ask for this to be escalated and ask for a supervisor. Those frontline csr's really don't know a thing. I feel like they're trained to just keep sending template responses and they never think outside of the box. I'm not trying to be cruel or anything, but this the reality that we must accept.

    Thanks for your suggestion, but I've already done that on one of my many calls with them for the past weeks. I've also already spoken to their tech team. They've already sent over someone to my house to check on wiring. They have also replaced my modem, but it didn't fix anything.

    The reason why I'm posting this is because I'm sharing my experience with people who have the same problem as mine, and I'm hoping that maybe some of them can share their experience with me as well, and let me know if their problem is fixed.

    I'm not posting this just to be a broken record.

  • Tumawag sila sakin nung 18 at humihingi ng tracert, so I sent them a video record of WinMTR, TraceNG, and PingPlotter. That's the last I've ever head from them.

  • Ganyan din ginawa ko, nagsend ako ng ping tracert screenshots galing cmd prompt with timestamp ng disconnection na every 1.5 hours and nagrespond naman sila na "we will endorse this to our network for further checking", yun na ang pinakahuli kong narinig sa kanila. Problem still exists as of now. Pinost ko na din eto sa converge fb group, inapprove naman ng admin ung post dahil nga may ticket number. After a day e tinurnoff nila commenting na wala man lang silang naging response or comment, kupal talaga ng admin sa group na yun. Haays, sana naman maayos na nila eto the soonest, sira na winning percentage ko sa nilalaro ko dahil sa problemang eto e.
  • Public IP ba yun na-assigned sa modem? or naka NAT na siya like sa Globe?
