@serotonin since you have a 3rd party router why not utilize it. Disable the wifi connection from the Converge Onu and use the wifi of your 3rd party router. The 2.4ghz and single band your mentioning is only for wifi connection. a 2.4 ghz connection can, in an ideal location, give you a speed up to 150mbps.

Hindi pwedeng palitan yung ONT ng Converge. Ang pwedeng gawin is mag-add ng additional third-party router. If gusto mo namang papalitan yung ONT mo ng dual-band. Dapat Plan 2500 and up yung inyo. Although, not all the time tinatanggap nila yung request para palitan lalo na if okay pa naman.

Need ng static IP para makapag port forward, hindi ka talaga makakapag portforward with double NAT ng residential line ng Converge. You can do is, use raspberry pi + ngrok setup just like I do, you get 4 free tunnels. So gamit ko sya for plex, 2 ip cameras, and remote utorrent. -

ang benefits nya ung features ng router like qos, access restriction at wifi coverage mas malayo at malakas dipende sa router mo at sakin naka bridge din para yung routing function nasa 3rd party router na para less load sa modem ng converge. -
@Zxcyas kung walang 5ghz wifi ang router mo; you need gigabit speeds; need mo ng Guest network; better router management and security such as QoS, VLAN, VPN, Per device bandwidth and parental control, Remote gateway and others then YES to that new Router.

Many of my issues disappeared after bridging, use of DNS ni converge and using a gigabit router. YMMV pero having another router is a welcome fix to my connection woes. -

Bumili ako ng tenda ac23 ac2100 paano ba settings dun sa huawei converge. Paano un bridge mode o patayin ko nalang wifi then connect ko nalang sa lan cable? Ano mas recommended

Hello guys, bigla na lang nag red blinking LOS yung modem namin dito. Intayan lang ba 'to or kailangan tumawag? First time ko kasi makita eh; yung ibang times na nagdown dito samin di naman nag blink ito, pero today nagbli-blink siya.
EDIT: nawala na yung red sa LOS, nakailaw na ulit PON, pero wala pa rin net; yung internet na ilaw alam ko dapat yung indicator na meron eh

Btw may nakakaalam ba nung address nung mga DNS ng converge? Kahit naka check kasi yung "Assign IspDNS" na checkbox, somehow yung sinet ko pa rin na googlends yung napupunta sa router namin.

Good morning all. Ano po kaya ang problema kapag green ang light ng PON and yung WLAN is green light din? Pero no internet. I tried changing the DNS still no internet. It's been like this na for 1 month, and Converge is no help with their automated ticket responses. I tried searching before and it seems like this also happens to others.
I thought it might have been the patch cord at first so I tried replacing it with a similar SC-APC cord, but it didn't seem to have helped. What I noticed is that I have to restart the ONT several times before it gets a working internet. Pero it's not a 100% guaranteed and occasionally the next day the internet will stop working again even though no one touched let alone turn off the ONT. Their ONT is the Huawei EchoLife EG8245H5. I tried using the troubleshooting provided in the ONT and it insists that it found no issue with the hardware and the internet connection. I can't even get internet thru ethernet.
It's very annoying because they're always paying bills on time naman, but my family couldn't use their Converge connection for about a month now minus the days where I got to visit and put a band-aid fix for their internet through ONT restarts. Is there no permanent fix so this that can be done on our end? Converge's support is absolutely no help.

161.49.49.49 at 161.49.48.48 yung stock DNS ni Converge. If wala ka pa ring net hanggang ngayon, try restarting you're ONT. If wala pa rin tawag ka sa click2call. Kapag sa landline kasi magastos.

Kapag steady ang PON, it means connected sa internet. If wala, may problema sa Converge or with you're ONT mismo. Try calling via click2call <click here for link>. Hindi talaga papansinin yan kung nagcrecreate ka ng ticket thru their app/website. -
^ thanks Driz_12, um-ok naman na pagkagising ko. Thanks rin dun sa stock DNS, I think 'di na kasing unstable yung DNS nila compared to a few years ago eh so I think itrtry ko na ulit yan. Ilang taon na rin kami naka Cloudflare DNS lol

Yes, that's what TR069 is for. Basically that's the backdoor for remote management.

I mean para sa mga walanghiyang hacker ng internet. Yung iba kasi abuso, nakikiconnect na nga, kinokontrol pa thru admin access dahil nga kalat ang admin logins. Yung sa pinsan ko dinisable pa ni gago yung 2.4GHz para masolo niya yung internet, buti hindi niya ginalaw admin login. Pero kung remote management magagawa pa rin talaga yan thru TR069. -
Can anyone recommend anong magandang VPN for Converge? Ang pangit kasi talaga ng routing nila intl. Kaagad bumibitaw yung speed sa DL at UL, hindi man lang nasusustain.

from what I understood, maaring lang macontrol yung router mo ng hacker if they can access the ACS (Auto Configuration Servers) ng ISP which will allow them to control the subscriber's router like changing the FW, it does help to change the admin password.
If an attacker compromises an ACS he could obtain information from the managed routers like wireless network names, hardware MAC addresses, voice-over-IP credentials, administration usernames and passwords. He could also configure the router to use a rogue DNS server, to pass the entire traffic Internet through a rogue tunnel, set up a hidden wireless network or remove the security password from the existing network. Even worse, he could upgrade the firmware on the devices with a rogue version that contains malware or a backdoor.
If your sharing wifi with other users, minsan better na ioff yung remote management through wifi and better password.

Maliban sa pagpapalit ng password, nilalagyan ko rin ng MAC Filter.. Fiberhome modems have it.. di ko lang sure sa Huawei.. So yung mga whitelisted devices lang ang makakakonek.. may magagaling kasi talaga manghack ng password so that's another line of protection -

hi po kakapakabit lng namin ng Converge FiberX last Saturday pero sabi nung nagkabit/support wag daw muna i-access ung IP Address/router settings within first 7 days.. on the 8th day onwards pwede na daw..
anyone here knows the reason why? -
@Driz_12 both IPVanish and ExpressVPN ginagamit ko, usually for P2P gaming, pero minsan browsing din sa less-popular websites pag ayaw magload. Reliable sila parehas for me for different purposes, kaya naka subscribe ako to both.
Completely agree basura yung international routing ng Converge, yun yung main reason kung magswswitch man ako back to PLDT.

Thank you sa mga suggestions, I think I will settle sa SurfShark. Nasusulit ko yung UL speed at DL speed sa GSuite at Office 365. Ang pangit nga ng routing ni Converge. Kaya hindi talaga worth it yung speeds beyond 100 Mbps nila.

Tanong ko lang may may nakaencouter na sainyo na subscribed plan is TOD - Night pero kahit gabi yung speed di parin nagswitch tried to contact via twitter, click2call, email pero hanggang ngayon same padin di nagbabago speed almost 2 weeks na. 1st week nagswitch naman. Recently ko lang napansin nung triny ko magdownload ng gabi hanggang 45 mbps lang ang speed wherein supposed to be 70 mbps na. Also no need for bridged mode naman na ang zte modem diba need lang iconnect sa lan 1 yung 3rd party router and off ang wifi ng converge router? Thanks
