Corrupted project file - can it be recovered?

  Sometimes you can open a new blank file.
  Set the calculation to manual.
  From the insert menu, insert the file.
  If this succeeds then copy all the tasks and paste into another file.
  
  If it doesn\'t then start looking for a backup/older version of the file
