  • @LeonCielo: thanks

ano ba recommend niyo PBT keycap replacement. meron ako nakitang "o ring key damper", naka katulong kaya to sa sturdiness ng keycap since parang balot niya yung keycap part na bumibigay.

Nice!

    TIA!
  • @strider8, with your budget, you can't go wrong with rakk or tecware phantom

  • Bumili ako ng Rakk Mua which is semi-mechanical meaning membrane pa rin ang loob, sobra one year old na din to and working fine pa naman. Kung bibili kaya ako halimbawa ng Tecware Phantom full mechanical keyboard, may pagkakaiba kaya akong mararamdaman?
  • My brother is currently using a Havit KB432L Mechanical Keyboard.

May mga ibang buttons ang hindi nagregister around 8 out of 10 presses during typing.

  • New owner here of Tecware Phantom RGB (104 keys, Outemu BROWN switches). This is the very first mech kbd that I've owned but not the first one that I tried. Having used to membranes especially sa office where I am a heavy typist (writing emails and coding), I have to say parang meron talagang learning curve. I don't know why or if anyone has a similar experience pero mas prone ako sa typing mistakes (errors) on this new keyboard. Sa membrane kasi, my fingers seem to just glide over the keys and the words will come out correct about 80-90% of the time. Pero dito sa mech, yung Backspace yata ang pinaka-abused kong key over the past week or so. At parang mas nakakapagod mag-type sa mech... especially on my right hand/arm. Naglagay na nga ako ng wrist rest pad but I really think I'm much better and more accurate sa old membranes... at least for now. Hope things get better for me, otherwise baka ipamana ko na lang itong mech sa anak ko.

  • maybe a blue switch would have better suited your needs.

although noisy, they provide an audio feedback aside from the tactile click.

when u type really fast, u may not really discern the individual tactile response of each key press but the clickity clack defenitely registers in your ears.

plus the lighter actuation force of the browns (as compared to the blue). may make u prone to double or miss presses.
  • @dino

Blues? Hmmm, I actually avoided those kasi nga maingay daw (then again, pwde naman siguro lagyan ng o-rings to at least minimize the noise). I thought the lighter actuation of the brown switches would be appropriate for me pero what you wrote makes a good argument on why I'm prone to mistakes. Me being heavy handed (passionate kung mag-type, hehe) is probably not helping also. Aside from blues, anong switch ba requires heavier force to actuate?
  • the black switches are just like brown switches (tactile feedback but non clicky) but w/ the highest actuation force.

there are also green switches, same as blue but w/ higher actuation force.

  • @dino

    Black switches are linear

    @rodelm

The o-rings only dampens the down press of a key. Not suitable sya if you want blues. If you want silent switches, choose red, black, browns which is common on the market. Try putting O-rings if you want to have that rubber dome feel and less travel distance when pressing keys.
  • @Dino and LeonCielo

Thank you for your inputs, sirs. I'll go try the blacks. Like I mentioned, I am a heavy presser of keys so maybe the linear variety + high actuation force could be more appropriate for me.

    Cheers!

ooops my bad, they are just like reds only harder hehe...

    or
Leopold FC900R for around 10k (ordered from amazon + ship to ph)

    Going for Red switches

  • Hello po. planning to buy Rakk ilis po. ano ba mas ok or mas matibay. ung outemo blue version or ung gateron yellow?

Decided to go for the Leopold FC900R for around 8.2k PHP (kasama na shipping). Not very particular with RGB, and do not use macros and media keys anyways, so I just went with the one with the best build quality (or so the internet tells me).

Red switches pa rin of course; tempted to go for Silent Reds, but I don't really need my keys to be quiet anyways.
  • ^Silent Blacks sana sir... not because it's silent, but maganda ang feel :)
