Tanong lang po. Ano pong motherboard(chipset) compatible sa Ryzen 3 3200G?
running a ryzen 3 3300x on an old old asrock ab350 pro4...
i just updated to the latest bios.
previous cpu was a ryzen 5 2400G.
most likely a 3200G w'c is still based on zen+ like the 2200/2400g will run on the older boards too if manufacturer supports w/ bios update
I was planning to build a new cpu for my friend pang online class daw ng anak nya. I was planning to us Asus prime A320M K motherboard. kaso naguguluhan ako kung compatible ba ang Ryzen 3 3200g sa kanya.
look at the latest bios if it supports that family of cpu's
zen+ picasso ang 3200g
if possible, ask the vendor if the bios is already updated to suppport that cpu out of the box coz it may be difficult to update bios if u don't have a spare cpu(already supported) lying around... coz the system might not post at all to enable bios update/flash

Plan is for gaming lang (flight sim, racing games, sandbox games 1440p) and no OC.
Nagpalit ako ng board to Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wifi. Ngayun nagkakaproblem sa synching yun ram na nasa 3rd slot. At first kala ko nagloloko na yun ram ko kaya nilipat ko yun isang ram dun sa 3rd ram slot for isolation pero same issue pa ren. Upon researching sa possible solutions may nakita akong article sa reddit na may user ng Crucial Ballistix na ram using also an Asus B550 mobo na same issue like mine. By the way I'm using Crucial Ballistix 4x8GB DDR4 3600 CL16 (BL2K8G36C16U4RL).
My option is either change sa 2x16gb or try other 4x8gb pero mas prefer ko na ngayun ang 2x16. Ang poblema ang mostly available lang na 2x16 na ddr4 3600 ay mga cl18. Meron ako nakikita na G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB ddr4 4000 cl18 another option ko yun.
May processor is a Ryzen 5 5600x.
Sulit ba yun G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB ddr4 4000 cl18? Ako kasi kuntento na sa just enabling XMP sa bios.
Kung bibili ka naman.. Hindi guaranteed na tatakbo sa 4000mhz ang rams mo.. Nacheck mo na ba kung hanggang saan ang maximum IF Clock ng processor mo??
To elaborate, incase magtanong ka kung bakit, kung aasa ka lang naman sa XMP/DOCP better check mo maximum WHEA error free IF clocks mo..nakatali kase sa memory clock mo ang Infinity Fabric clock mo.. (1:1 ratio) Masayang lang yang ddr4000 mo if takbong ddr3200 cl18 ka lang bumagsak dahil hindi kaya ng processor mo yung DDR4000 (IF Clock of 2000mhz), pwede mo naman patakbuhin ng DDR4000 pero desynchronized ang ratio from your IF Clock at the expense of a huge performance loss..
Those sticks you are eyeing on aren't even binned (kita naman sa timings) and worse is you can't go under those timings even running the at lower than 4000mhz..those are crappy Hynix DJR's they can clock crazy high kung kaya ng IF Clock mo.. Else useless on Ryzen..

@major - had the same issue sa ballistix for my sons b550-f strix. I replace with Gskill 3200. oks naman na. if you're asking sa neo. Im using neo cl16 four sticks for ram ranking. oks naman sa 5800x on Asus Tuf x570.
^ hindi solution lage ang bumili.. If you read through the reddit post he linked somebody already solved the issue, crucial provided a firmware update tool for the rgb control, he just needs to ask Crucial support for it, also 3200 cl16 is so very basic, given na enabled pa ang GDM
@majorpayne i'm using a trident pre ryzen kits 8x2 4000 cl 18 these are samsung B-die bought during the mining crisis at the time these were cheaper than 3200 cl 14
i'm currently running them at 3733 cl 14
if you ask me the brand/ series doesn't matter. the only thing that matters is samsung b-die or the distant second micron E-die
but in the end of the day it really depends if you are willing to run the kits manually
Emailed both Asus and Crucial mukhang no chance na maayus.
Crucial gave me a firmware but when I'm applying it, updated na yun firmware ng ram ko. Latest response nila wala na sa ram nila ang issue.
Asus naman as usual asked me to uninstall, reinstall Armory Crate and update if necessary pero wala pa ren. They even advice me to bring the mobo sa Asus Center for possible replacement pero response ko sa CSR kahit palitan ng new unit ganun pa ren ang mangyayari.
Ok kaya itong ram na ito? Wala naman ako na search na issue sa Corsair ram like sa Crucial.
honestly dont get rams that have high risk of being hynix especially when you already have micron E-dies have you even tried setting them manually with the help of ryzen dram cal?

My rams are hynix (according to Thaiphoon burner) but they run at advertised speeds in my MSI X470 Gaming Plus. These are Team Xtreem Dark ARGB 3600-18 2x8GB sticks and its not in the QVL list of my mobo. I chose these because I searched google and I saw a lot of other brands having issues with running at its rated speeds like GSkill, etc so I chose Team Xtreem instead and it works.
@gizmic he is not trying to overclock.. He is trying to fix the RGB sync issues..Hynix CJR and DJR aren't worse chips.. They do ddr4 4400mhz easy peasy just not "fast" like a samsung b-die's latency
@majorpayne RGB talaga muna?? Hahaha.. +50 fps ba talaga?? Pag inon ko ba RGB nung akin mag +200 fpa kaya sa 6800xt ko??
Kidding aside, like I said buying higher frequency rams won't help IF your Ryzen processor can't clock the IF clock high..yan yung madalas complains ng newbz na hindi daw gumagana XMP/DOCP for 3600mhz and above kase hindi naman din kaya ng procesor yung IF Clock..
Also had trouble syncing the rgb of my Ballistix 3600 CL16 sticks to my B550 Aorus Elite board. Both Crucial’s MOD software and Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion software did not work. Surprisingly what worked was Asus’ Armoury Crate software.
was planning to get a 5800x but ended up sa 3600 instead, no regrets at all.. damang dama ang difference from my ancient ivy bridge at maliwanag ang upgrade path without a need to change the board "hopefully" :)
3600 is fine for most games... you wont feel the difference between 5600x and 3600 without an FPS counter....
even using the Ryzen 3 1200, high speed rams (ddr4-3600@3200-14) and RX580, most games feel the same way as when using 3600 using rams running at 3600-18....
The only difference is on productivity software... the Ryzen 5000 series just blows the doors off any other processor...
