  • CTR doesn't grade on max clock but its based on 1.25v i'm guessing 4.3ghz on default. ctr usually maltisse 4.3-4.5 @ 1.3v
of course CTRs golden sample doesn't always mean it can oc high

like mine for example i do reach max 4.7 boost on my 3950X (bronze) on eco mode without offsets on the good ccd but the bad ccd doesn't go over 4.325 which is fine for me since i like how its tuned right now gaming+streaming load 4.3ish all core boost @ 1.375

only main benefit of the lastest ctr is change the 2 different ccx profiles and still retain boost+cnq which is a big plus over all core OC unless of course benching :D
  • Di pa ako nakapag test ng CTR but my 5800X is doing 4650 MHz at 1.25V. Nowhere near golden in my book.

My friend have samples that can be considered bad for a static voltage of 1.25 but theirs can go higher at higher voltages while mine basically crashes after 4700 no matter the Voltage. LOL

I will tell you that I still have a GOLD 1800X tho. GOLD as in better than 99% of samples kahit sa extreme overclocking peeps.
  • Yeah that’s just how it is on silicon lottery I’ve yet to push my Cpu to max static but I have a feeling it’s a good one I just don’t like static settings. I’m just pissed at the 3733 max IF

But I think I’ll be on this cpu for many years to come I usually keep the cpu very long from tweaking and good ram MHz

    2500 XP-M to 1055T to 2700x to 3950x

2700x is the only cpu I owned that I didn’t keep for a long time because it couldn’t stream with good FPS even on dota but yeah I stream on crazy settings lol
    8.2k bitrate 1440p @60
I was able to get 4.35Ghz all core at 1.1Vcore.
  • Napaupgrade na rin sa wakas. Cooled with NH-D15 (anlaki pala sa personal haha)

Pwede mo laruin yung PBO Limits mo, set to manual.
  • ^

  • ^ updated os?... uninstalled and cleaned using DDU?...
I tried playing with it until it started crashing the game..... updated OS.
  • try mo:

uninstall gpu driver and before rebooting... boot to safe mode...

use ddu... clean and restart... don't forget to set at normal boot before restarting after cleaning...

disconnect net... maybe disable av/firewall/aio... install gpu driver...

on my end... rx 580 8gb on latest driver.... ok naman ang viber app... yung notification (pop-up) lang pag may dadating na message ang medyo garbage ang dispplay ng notif. pero sa app mismo ok...

make sure na ok din or updated other drivers like chipset...

try na rin re-download the driver installer... na experience ko na error ako sa install... tried downloading another instance and nag ok naman...
  • just sharing po... :)

ryzen 3600 undervolt offset @1.25 vcore while overclocking cpu ratio @45
OK kaya pang 24/7 ito? hindi pa naman stability tested but stable enough for normal average usage and maybe adding more vcore will make this clock stable.

and btw po, cpu temp drastically went down with at least 10deg for normal usage with multi windows of android emulators running in the background.

  • ^

Not b550, pero ung Asus TUF x570-Plus wifi ko, older bios kaya no ryzen 5000 support out of the box.

  • inotnaair- ask the vendor to update the board to the latest one.

Try to check yung video ni Gamers Nexus about under volting 3000 series CPUS. Even though the voltages are low and also it shows that the clocks are higher, it doesn't mean it would translate to a better performance overall even compared sa stock. 3.9K @ 4.5ghz I would say is a good score. Pero don't expect much.

    @jmac2010
exactly sir... nakita ko nga ung video ni GN as well as other resources na rin, thanks sa info.

sa stock settings pa rin ako nauwi since ayaw mag downclock kapag naka manually set ang CPU ratio o kaya may nakalimutan lang akong i-set, still learning ryzen since phenom II pa last AMD cpu ko, LOL xD

Good thing though in doing undervolt is it can drastically lower CPU temps.

on a side note, managed to tighten my elcheapo RAM timing from XMP of 3600MHz CL19 to 3600MHz CL16 @stock volt, not bad. :)

download ka ng hwinfo64, ang bantayan mo is effective clock. pag hindi siya 1:1 sa si-net mo na clock speeds, that means nag cclock stretching na ryzen mo. meaning, kahit naka 4ghz ka at hindi 4ghz ang effective clock mo, nag sstretch yung clock speed para lang hindi mag crash. when that happens, bump mo voltage mo hanggang maging 1:1 ang setting at effective clock mo. hth

I revisited my cinebench runs, my highest was 3962 on R20 running at 4.4Ghz, I just tested a few minutes ago and I got 3878 at 4.35ghz so 3.9K is right around 4.35 to 4.5ghz... I use 3600 non X as well.
  • ^try occt for 1 hour, if no error or crash, thats good
  • no errors in 4.35ghz in prime95 but at 4.4ghz error appeared in ccx1 15mins prime95.... meaning ccx1 cannot handle more than 4.4ghz so I throttled back to 4.35ghz all core...
  • Supposedly the plan is to stop testing if I could pass 3000% coverage with no errors. If I could pass 2000% with no errors I'm good to go. At around 3000% mark I decided to push through with the test. This took me almost two days straight. XD I was about to call it a day when all of a sudden an error pops up. At around 8000% coverage in one of the instances. Kakabadtrip kala ko stable all the way through na. Anyway for sure 100% of my daily task this oc will be fine. Nakaka badtrip lang na may isang error at around 8000% coverage pa XD. Ano kaya nangyari? Anyway still I'm glad nagamit ko na at full speed itong Team T-Force Xtreem 3733mhz kit ko. Bought it way back 2017 along with my Ryzen 7 1700 build and I could only manage 3333mhz c14 at 1.45v if I could remember correctly. And this is a lazy oc. Walang masyadong effort. Sa Ryzen Calculator lang ako nagdepende. Now next plan is, run CTR and see how my Ryzen 5 3600 does.

  • My tridents 4000 are pre ryzen also and hella expensive mining crisis and cheaper than 3200 cl14 at the time but yeah my Samsung b-die doing 3733 cl14 @ 1.475v

I rarely memtest over 100% because errors should come out at low percentage
  • i just use karhu ram test, wala pa 2 hours 6400% 99% coverage, just paid 500 ,

yan din sabi. If the mem oc is really unstable right before it reaches 400% errors should pop out immediately. Bought mine around 8k+ ata yun sa bagong itlog. Me going for a higher rated kit is finally bearing fruit hehe

yeah I've been contemplating to buy that or the HCI Mem test Pro for around 250 pesos but I had spare time so sinubukan ko muna yung mas mahirap na hintayan XD

Able to run CTR 2.1 now. Got a golden sample hehe. Oddly walang suggestion for OC settings. Undervolt lang? May need pa ba i-set? After diagnostic, it suggested 4.3ghz at 1175mv but after tuning it came out with this:

    4275mhz oc for ccx1
    4250mhz oc for ccx2
    1.175v

Di ko pa na test for stability ng matagal but so far running CB23 temps significantly down around 10c and it is significantly faster around 1k points dagdag from 8.9k to 9.9k. Got one issue though after restart yung clocks ko naglock to 3.6ghz kahit nagprompt yung program na niload na niya yung saved profile ko. Had to deactivate then activate the profile for it to work.
