almost same tayo ng specs pero naka itx form factor ako ngayon. I'm using RTX 2060 pero planning to upgrade to RX 6800 XT.
Hi guys, Is it possible na pag nakaenable yung all core curve optimizer magfail sya? Not sure if its an issue sakin pero tried per core. mukhang may cores na working lang sa either 0 or positive value. Didn't have this problem kasi sa mga previous ryzen procs. Or baka lemon yung nakuha kong proc.
I can do -20 on most cores on the first CCD but on core 6 and 7, magboboot lang sya at atleast 0 na value. Same goes for the other CCD. Mejo inconsistent lang din kasi yung nasa ryzen master feature for getting the best values per core. Hindi sya accurate.
^On higher end Ryzen, may instances na up to a certain threshold lang yung kaya at stock settings especially for early batches na probably may mga napiga na jan for stock operation. Naging issue ko na din before nung first batch ng ryzens yung binili ko.
Something you could do to test it: Put a fixed frequency (or even a fixed voltage) lower than your standard boost clock.
Then enable curve optimizer ulit. Start with negative 5 then go higher if it boots. If it works, it means may cores ka talaga na probably needs a higher voltage at certain frequencies. Yes pwede mo sabihin na lemon yan but it is what it is.
speaking of curve optimizer, minsan matagal bago lumabas instability. Kagabi lang nagrestart ung pc after ilang months ng uptime. WHEA error on APIC ID 18.
WHEA error (event viewer) that indicates a specific APIC ID means unstable ung core so ayun. Tweak the offset on the said core and it should be stable.
Duda lang why it took this long to show instability.
APIC ID refers to the threads/cores that are unstable, WHEA Event ID's are rather tied up to the specific uncorrectable error, not all WHEA errors are due to the CO values being too low, some are really underlying issues (uncorrectable errors) pertaining to your hardware like unstable Overclock or like your case too much aggressive undervolting.
which is why back off muna sa -20 for that specific core. Ilang heavy renders/projects din nagawa without issue so why ngayon lang nag unstable no idea.
Balik on topic : Anyone here with RX 6000/7000 playing Hogwarts Legacy? Or naghihintayan ba for the next major driver update muna?
When I have it disabled, everything is stable now. No idea why. Just saw a random post about it and decided to just try it.
Still testing it pero so far, ok pa yung performance. I've even lowered yung core voltage and compared before it was crashing at a lower voltage.
Nag order ako sa n3w3gg ng gpu then used a forwarder from US to PH, I doubt baka hindi siya umabot ng March 4 dito sa pinas and masayang yung code. Any idea or similar scenario sa inyo?
^Personally me hindi pa pero if you bought the CPU sa US and you want to redeem the code, may chance na di sya magwork since nasa PH region ka. This happened to me with the AMD rewards for Valhalla. Yung 5800x ko that time was bought sa US and dun pa lang sa processor validation, failed na.
Pero pro-tip if ever maencounter mo, just use a vpn, set it to US before running the validation tool. And if Ubisoft yung game, you'll need to login via VPN din to activate the key. Muntik ko na ibenta yung sakin. Yes you can activate a region locked game sa Ubisoft via a VPN pero afterwards that ang ginawa ko, di ko muna sya nilaro agad. I waited a week and ayun, oks pa yung account ko til now, nalalaro ko pa din yung mga naredeem ko even without a VPN.
Not sure if ganun pa din or mas lenient na sila ngayon.
Thank you
currently using naka GTX 1660 super (2nd hand)
ito po yung specs:
Ryzen 5 3600
Corsair TX Gold 550w
Monitor LG 23MP68VQ LED IPS
MSI B450M Mortar max (AM4) B450, mATX
16gb DDR4
250gb nvme ssd
3tb 3.5"hdd
Guys, is it better to wait for the 7800x3D? or go intel na lang? Napaisip lang ulit after mapanood yung vid ng hardware unboxed regarding sa slow memory performance compared sa intel so medyo napapaisip din. Wanted to go team red kaso mukhang madami pa need i-iron out sa AM5. Slow boot time being one. Saw some post with those having higher capacity memory going as far as 2 minutes para magboot lang, but meron ding mga 30 second boot for 16gb/32gb. Parang annoying lang to wait that long for something that should be the bleeding edge.
Mukhang ok na yung GIGABYTE B650M DS3H based sa default memory timings & windows load time, local pricing nalang talaga problem, mas mura pa from Amaz*n. MSI boards still need BIOS updates.
Slow boot time being one. Saw some post with those having higher capacity memory going as far as 2 minutes para magboot lang, but meron ding mga 30 second boot for 16gb/32gb.
On my current gigabyte board, its like around 15 seconds starting from a cold boot. You can enable memory context restore para bumilis pa sya. All AM5 boards have this option naman. After siguro ng ilan pang bios updates and it should be better.
^But that's because gigabyte AM5 tends to be faster on boot (may tweak ata silang ginawa or something). Yung officemate ko assembled his rig with a X670E-E Asus board and had it replaced kasi akala nya issue yung boot times. Even on the latest bios its still booting around a minute on a 32GB RAM.
Kaya I'm looking into boards na din na pinakamura with Debug LED code for diagnostics. Mahirap kasi magdiagnose if di mo alam ano talaga issue specifically for AM5 boards.
Guys may 5700 vanilla ba? 5700x at 5700G lang nakikita ko. need to upgrade my wife's pc. naka 1060 video card sya. AIO na single fan. any advice? or talon na ba sa 7000 series?
