This is probably a sign that Ill just keep my graphics card until the next gen at least (volta/vega)

Matatagalan mag subside ang mining mania. Pero once ma bumaba na value ng mga mina-mine nila *hoping* eh dapat makabenta na ng gpu according nga dun sa isang forum topic sa rx 580 win-win talaga situation kung now mabebenta mo gpu mo sa price ngayon. Para makabili ka ng mas magandang klase. Kaso ang problem is yung stock/ availability.. kaya parang ginto na kahit 1060 pati mga 480-500 series.

Another reason is habang dumadami ang nagma-mine, mas humihirap ang pag-mine (pagsolve) which means need of more power = gpu
Mukhang here to stay ang bitcoin mining and high price ng gpu

Not sure kung magiging available sa atin ang mga Nvidia mining GPU tulad ng GP106-100 and GP104-100. Pero kung if ever i-offer siya ng mga PC shops, sana mas cheaper sila kesa regular GTX 1060 or GTX 1080. It will also help lessen yung demand sa mga gaming videocards, so sana hindi mangyari yung ubusan ng stock at overpricing.
Yung disadvantage lang sa mining GPU is masyado siyang niche na product. Bagay siya sa mga seryoso na miners na nagbubuo ng 6-GPU rigs at plano nila mag mine hanggang mag ROI sila. Pero sa mga casual miners na hindi heavily invested sa mining o curious lang kung magkano ang potential income, tingin ko bad investment sa kanila ang mga mining GPU's.
Personal opinion ko lang...
Tingin ko wala masyado interested mag benta ng mining GPU's sa atin. Siyempre mas gusto parin ng PC shops na mataas ang profit nila on all GPU's they sell. It does not matter to them kung ang buyer ay gamer or miner, as long as they both pay the same price for a GPU. Wala din incentive mga miners bumili ng mining GPU kung same lang ang price sa gaming GPU.

The problem with mining gpus is they are harder to sell than gaming gpus once the mining craze has subsided.

mga sir sino po sa inyo gumagamit ng Gigabyte g1 gaming na gtx 1060 6gb? pa help lang ho kasi yung gpu ko lumulundo na ung pinaka dulo kasi ang haba nya... 278mm sya.. ganyo ba tlaga to? or defect to?
kakabili ko lng kasi nung isang araw at ngayon ko lng nalagay sa cpu ko..ano po ba magandang gawin dto?

nabasa ko kc ub article nun but forgot where the last time i read it.
yung mining gpu, it will be faster for mining, it also sells at lot cheaper price and some models with huge heatsink but no fan for full silent mode kinda ugly un looks but most people don't care for mining lang naman. downside is 90 days lang warranty.
As for my own guessing, hula ko kung mas mabilis yung mining gpu, i did expect some people will start selling back those gpu as 2nd hand. napaka importante kc sa miners yung megahashes per watt. Don kc kung kikita ka or malulugi.
so if that happens, then we could see even lower prices ng 1060/1070 but if not, the most expected yung pag balik regular prices ng mga gpu.

I built my rig a year ago and I originally thought about getting a GTX 1070. I put it off though since wasn't playing any games, and that's still true after a year. With this rise in GPU prices guess I won't be buying one soon, and anyway I've already decided to see AMD's Vega offerings later this year. Hopefully by this time the GPU prices would have settled down.

I was able to buy a GTX 1070 for a reasonable price early this year. Im just biding my time before I upgrade to 32gb ram since the price of that is quite high

share ko lang po finally nakapag palit na ako ng psu.. currently running1x 1070 and 1x1080.. from 750gq to 850g3, nasasagad ko kasi sa 750gq base calculation nkaka 780 watts ako sa consumption.
i coconvert ko yung 2x 1070 to mining rig den yung 1080ti to rendering rig. waiting ako sa delivery ng core x9 and 1080ti FE. hopefully kaya ng 850 g3 ang sli 1080ti and 7700k build. hindi ako makabili pa ng higher wattage psu kasi naka fix ang budget..

Parehas tayo, yung EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 ko binili ko sa B&H Photo nung May 21, 2017. Hindi tayo inabutan nung Destiny 2 promo. Na-email ko na EVGA tungkol diyan a few days ago. Here's their exact reply:
The game code promotion that you are referring to is a promotion that is hosted by Nvidia directly. That being the case, they give us a start and an end date for the promotion. EVGA can only give codes to cards that were purchased on June 6, 2017 or later and purchased from EVGA.com. Any other codes would have to come directly from the place of purchase for this promotion and I believe all retailers would only be able to offer the promotion for purchases June 13, 2017 or later.

gagamitin ko pang mining but mostly pang games, dual purpose po
nalilito kasi ako kung ano mas sulit, tight budget pero kaya naman 1080ti wag lang ma-op
or wait na lang ako sa volta/vega

^ hindi ako expert pero ituloy mo na sa 1080ti kung kaya naman ng budget kumbaga isang bagsakan na and sabi mo once in a lifetime lang to.
kahit anong ganda design ng 1080 mapa msi X or G1 pa yan na may magandang porma mas mabilis pa rin 1080ti dyan kahit FE lang. but hintayin mo mga master ditto.....

@jayzone_10 - I would get the 1080 Ti. Like sir Vladz said, mas mabilis talaga kahit FE. 7k nalang dagdag jan. For me parang hindi na worth it ang gtx 1080 pag lumagpas na sa 29k to 30k. nasa 25k nalang dapat mga yan hehe. And na mention mo for mining dami ko nababasa maganda 1080 Ti for that.
