Got one from newegg few days ago, and one from eBay last week.

paliit na kasi ng paliit ang transistors. the latest nvidia architecture is at 16 nm. intel has said that the smallest they could do is at 10 nm. after that, they have to come up with new technology to extend moore's law's lifespan. if not, it's game over for the computing industry.

Problem din kasi is walang competitor si Nvidia sa high-end, kaya hindi din sila motivated to come out with a new GPU. So siyempre susulitin at susulitin nila ang Pascal architecture and make more money out of it as much as possible. I won't be surprised kung yung next line of Nvidia gaming videocards na lalabas this year ay refresh lang ng Pascal built on 7nm process ni TSMC.
I'm sure si Nvidia may naka-abang na gaming GPU based on Volta na ready to be released sa market in a quick time frame. Ace up their sleeve in case maglabas si AMD or Intel ng bagong gaming videocard.
Maswerte din yung bumili ng GTX 1080 Ti last year, sulit na sulit ang paggamit and no need to upgrade yet :-)

i stand corrected. it seems every year engineers find ways to extend moore's law. now they claim that "the 5 nm node was once assumed by some experts to be the end of Moore's law. Transistors smaller than 7 nm will experience quantum tunnelling through the gate oxide layer."
<click here for link>

^ nakahigh setting ako sa PUBG 1366 x 768 on my 1050ti, so far ok naman and kaya naman sa 50-60fps. Never ko naexperienced ung stuttering or lags, then in dota 2 naman, naka limit to 110 fps vsync off and smooth gaming din. Haven't tried any triple AAA games yet kaya i can't comment about that.

Yup magddownclock yan as long as you select adaptive instead of high performance in the Nvidia Cp

Mga Lodi, question lang po. Currently using Gigabyte GTX1080ti Aorus (non-extreme) I have my power limit set at 80% with 77 temps. To save electricity bill and hit boost clock at around 19xx mhz max .. I know lowering power limit will not utilize card's full potential.. will increasing my power limit to the max but maintain a 77 temp limit affect power consumption or affect performance of my card? o baka usless lang mga bossing. TIA!

@Destroids
You may want to try undervolting your 1080ti using 3rd party software like MSI Afterburner (voltage/frequency curve setting). Currently using GPU tweak for ROG Strix GTX1080ti.
You may also want to slowly raise your power limit/target (by 5's) when undervolting until GPU does not crash. Basically it increases power available to GPU to increase stability under lower voltages.
Also, set your FPS limit/target to maximum refresh rate of your monitor. In my case, it's 60 FPS.
Currently using QBX Kaze so GPU airflow is a bit off. I set mine to 80% fan speed during gaming sessions.
