Help! FPS Drops during Clash...DOTA 2

  • Here's the system specs a bit old though...this is actually for my brother.

    Procie: Core2Duo E7200
    Mobo : ecs g31t-m7
    Ram: 4g (2x2g) DDR2 800mhz
PSU: 500w Korean brand true rated
    GPU: ASUS 9600 GT 512mb 256-bit

I'm having a decent FPS of 60-80 (low setting) but when clash comes its dropping to 20 FPS or lower so the game is so lag...

Is there something wrong with the system unit itself or it didn't met the minimum system requirement for DOTA2?

Temperature is normal, highest is 40-45 degrees celcius on CPU
GPU temp at 43-45 degrees celcius

    PLEASE PLEASE NEED ADVICE!!!

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH
  • check mo ping mo while playing...
  • latency has nothing to do with frame dropping.

its more like a PC issue, since Dota2 is a CPU intensive, I assume bottle neck ang CPU nya. More like, any Source Engine based games are CPU intensive rather than GPU.

  • hmmm..kinda weird...pag na drop latency ko or nag lo-loss connection..massive lag na ko or stuttering .. well maybe its just me..
mas mababa pa kasi specs ng gamit ko kesa sa TS...pag ok connection..ok game play...
  • if bottleneck yung procie, ano po pwedeng gamitin? core2quad will do?
iniisip ko kse bka dahil old school narin kasi yung ram and mobo, might go with g41 then ddr3 na ram...

and okay din naman yung ping...30 max

    thanks sa input mga sir

  • Up...input pa kayo mga sir...salamat!
  • upgrade lang talaga ang punta mo, pwede mo din babaan yung resolution nya at quality to lessen it.
  • Install MSI afterburner then check what's the cause of the problem. Close background applications while playing.
  • @gameguard025 - i will try ... thank you sir. will keep u posted
