List of Storage Devices with Warranty Period of 5+ Years

  • Storage with 5+ Years Warranty
    HDD
    - WD RE (mfgr; 5 years)
    - WD SE (mfgr; 5 years)
    - WD Red Pro (mfgr; 5 years)
    - WD Black (mfgr; 5 years)

    SSD

    Hybrid
    - Seagate Desktop/Laptop SSHD (mfgr; 5 years)

    Memory Cards/Flash Drives

I'd like to compile a list of locally distributed storage devices that have a distro/manufacturer warranty of 5 years or longer. Warranty claims should be locally processed like Seagate and Western Digital. I only have solid info on Seagate and WD at the moment I hope you guys can contribute your knowledge about this and I'll update the first post as more verified information is added.

    TIA!

FYI certain models still have 5-year warranty from both Seagate and Western Digital
  • Samsung SSD
    950 PRO - 5 years
    850 PRO - 10 years
    850 EVO - 5 years

These are the warranty length for Samsung SSDs based on their website, but I'm unable to confirm if there's a local distro that processes the warranty claims. Hopefully someone will give feedback.

eto ang defutah problema ng samsung
nakipag-chat na ako sa mismong samsung ph website nila, (all i can say is inutil)
  • @infoseeker, thanks for sharing. Hopefully someone else can shed light on this issue.

    +1

  • Intel SSD
    750 series - 5 years
    540 series - 5 years
    535 series - 5 years

Based on Intel's website. Need to verify if there's local warranty processing, I don't have experience with Intel's process yet.
  • @Laserion, usually with straight-to-manufacturer warranty like seagate and wd, no need for original packaging. No idea about distro warranty, but most of the time in- store warranty will require original package (item, box, manuals, accessories)
