RX 480 or GTX 1060?

  mas mura actually ang 1060 6gb kesa sa 8gb na rx 480. pero totoo rin na mas mataas budget need mo if 1060 if tatake into account mo ang pag bili ng gsync/freesync monitor eventually. un deciding factor sa iba e

  my gtx 660Ti OC just died on me hahaha..amoy sunog, mukang naihian ng daga haaha...buti di nadamay ibang components...
  
  got the msi 1060 gaming x 6gb over the rx 480.
  
  deciding factor ko is in terms of driver features, mas ok sakin ang nvidia.
  
  so far so good naman, the division plng na tetesting ko ultra lahat ng settings never bumaba ng 55fps=) on 1080p display.
  
  nag ccrash lang yung game dahil siguro sa issue sa win10 pero i will have to clean install lahat.
  
  sino naka msi 1060 gaming x din jan? talaga bang di nakatkbo yung fan,? minsan umaandar minsan hindi.

  Depende sir sa temps yun kung iikot o hindi yung fans. By default hindi iikot fans ng MSI GPUs kapag below 50 or 60 yung temps.
  
  Download nyo yung MSI Afterburner app, pang monitor ng temps, fan curve (% ng fan speed depende kung gaano kataas temps).

  ^Yung MSI ko di ko pa ginagalaw fan curve. Aandar lang fan kapag 60c and above na. Parang mas gusto ko ganito set up kasi tahimik. Tsak malaki naman yung heat sink and pipes nya kaya kaya naman siguro mawithstand yung init pag 60c below and walang tulong ng fans.

  ^personal preference ko yung gumamit ng custom fan curve lagi nga lang naka-ON yung fans ko haha pero kapag idle naman or browsing lang, hindi na nalagpas ng 45c temps.

  Yung sakin naka-off yung fan hanggang 59C. Pagdating ng 60C pataas 100% speed na hehe.

  Ayos! yung sakin hanggang 90% lang kapag 70c na.
  Matibay naman yan, masmaganda mababa temps :D

  gayahin ko nga to..mas ok na masiraan ng fan at magplit ng fan kesa buong GPU mapalitan hahaha..

  I went with the 1060.
  
  1. Based sa mga nababasa kong mga forums mas okay siya out of the box. Halos zero ang may issue sa pagkabit then laro agad.
  2. Mas mababa ang temps ng most 1060s and super tahimik kahit 50+% na ang fan
  3. Halos pareho lang performance.
  4. Based sa wiki may support both for Vulkan , DX12, OpenGL, OpenCL so driver wars na ito.
  5. Mas mura.
  6. Natotolerate ko naman ang screen tearing so kahit walang freesync or gsync okay lang. Madali lang naman mag-edit ng graphics settings. (Next time na lang pag may pambili na hehe)

  rx 480 driver and performance wise amd is much better TODAY why amd gains alot while nvidia still the same so good luck after a couple of months

  Both are good cards. Lamang ang hardware ng 480. Pero halos same performance. Pagalingan na lang sa brands, drivers, and optimisation.

  Para sakin:
  1. If existing nvidia GTX 970/980 user ka na, much better to buy a GSync monitor na lang muna then upgrade na lang sa future.
  2. For new PC builds, get RX 480 + FreeSync monitor instead.
  
  You can never go wrong with both cards. More of personal/brand preference na lang talaga.

  Vulkan is the future.
  Almost on par ang rx 480 sa gtx 1070 sa Doom so future proofing mas maganda ang rx 480.
  Most direct x 12 titles panalo rin ang rx 480.
  Freesync monitor costs less, tsaka darating na rin ang mga Fresync 2.0 monitors.
  8GB of VRAM, can definitely crossfire in the future habang sa 1060 you can't.
