Paano setup ng network mo? Check mo muna kung may nakukuha ka na ip from modem/router using ipconfig sa command prompt. Press windows button + X para lumabas yung option sa Windows 10 then select Command Prompt then type ipconfig or punta ka sa Settings->Network and Internet then select either wifi or ethernet then advance options/properties.

pldt (i think) is trying to control the web ui of our routers. This is very evident for pldt fibr subscribers. Meron naman workaround to access the router pero i dont take responsibility of what so ever...
1. turn off your router
2. unplug / disconnect fiber cable from the router
3. turn it back on and access the router UI. Apply all settings you want to do then when you're finished,
4. reconnect the fiber cable to the router.

I found out that the only way to access the router web GUI is by
1. turn off fibrehome
2. disconnect the fibre optic cable
3. turn on fibrehome without fibre optic cable change the settings you want to change and save restart
4. turn off > connect fibre cable
5. turn on

As of now, di talaga naa-access GUI ng FIBR ngayon kasi meron silang ginagawang enhancement sa system.

This has been happening to everyone. Unplugging the fibre optic cable does the trick. But you can only go as far as changing your SSID or remotely rebooting your router. You can't configure anything with regards to broadband settings and anything that goes beyond that because that requires an ongoing internet connection. So it still doesn't help if you think about it. It's uncomfortable that they can remotely configure what goes in and out of the router itself. Not even an official announcement from the company. Typical PLDT.

no wonder I couldn't access it
so there really is some hacking of pldt modems as pldt agent claim? I'm on plan 1899, capped at 80GB. for 5 months I've been using, I never used up all 80GB (since night time is the only time I use internet at home). i went to access the modem settings except I can't. I actually thought of unplugging the fiber to see if I can still access the modem, guess this thread confirms it.

I see. Okay so hindi lang pala ako nakaka experience neto right now. Madami pala tayo, maybe I should wait for further notice on what might come or the reason behind kung bakit nila dinsable yung access naten sa GUI.

Hassle 'to, you cannot properly configure or even secure your network dahil sa outage na yan. Worst, this is ongoing since August referring to the earliest post in this thread.

Did anybody called them and actually got an answer why they do that?
Can they just do that legally, causing security risks for user?

pede nyo itawag yan sa PLDT reklamo lang ng reklamo para ma pressure sila na ibalik.. then pede nyo ifile for rebate yung ticket number... unfair satin yun sila lang nakaka access ng Router natin.. kasama yun sa binabayaran so dapat tayo ang may ari nun hindi sila.. .

i tried calling them earlier too as i am setting up a web server on my home pc. They told me that they cant provide an ETA on when the outage will be fixed. Sadly, my request for port forwarding cant be done. Hindi raw pwde yun which i find weird kasi bat nila ipagbabawal ung portforwarding eh wala naman ako nakikitang mali doon. So i am down to getting a hosting service, instead of just using my own resources. Doble gastos na naman. I think what they are doing is unprofessional, we are paying for the products and services nila but in there end they cant even provide the stuff we need. Tanginang PLDT yan.

what i did is, called them para ma set to bridge ang modem and have my own 3rd-party router where you can do the usual stuff na gusto mo like control everyone in wifi and do port-forwarding. next plan is to completely remove pldt uno in the equation and replace with my own gpon uno via sfp.
