Hi TPC'ers, I need your very honest opinions regarding those two device posted. Money is one big factor, meron lang akong kaibigan na handang pahiramin ako ng pera just to purchase a gpu. 1060 3gb will never be an option to me, to justify 3gb is not an option also di ko gusto yung aesthetics nung mga ifs. Now, I've narrowed down to these two gpu. Performance wise fps kung baga eh di naman nagkakalayo but of course we all know na latest ang rx480 and may last a very long time for me which is a plus. Pero big factor din yung cooling and ingay ng card. No plan on upgrading to 1440p stick lang ako sa 1080p.
Since I know na di ko na kaya magpalit ng gpu yearly, need ko ng mas tatagal and with distro warranty. So these are both bnew.
Rx480 nitro oc+
Pros: new arch, 4gb, more on dx 12, free sync(to be honest di ako makakabili nito)
Cons: mainit and very audible ang fans?
Gtx 970 strix
Pros: cooler and quieter
Cons: old arch. 3.5gb.

I'm using rx480 nitro 8gb. So far, okay nmn sya. 75C lang. Closed yung kwarto ko at walang A/C. Although maingay nga yung fans pag 100% pero nka headset ako lagi and di sya noticeable kahit speakers gamit ko. Benq xl2730z ang monitor ko and nakakaya nya i drive ang 1440p basta walang AA. Go with the latest kasi end of life na ang support sa maxwell. Either 1060 or rx480
