Ryzen, AMD's new and better return to the consumer CPU world!

  • ^

Will try later paguwi, salamat sir sa response sir.

Yung target ko talaga is yung 3200 version ng blackout kasi hynix cjr daw yung as per sleepygeepy kaso walang stock so nag go ako sa 3000mhz version kaso nanya shit-die pala siya T_T
  • @emhelmark2
Bought PVB416G300C6K(Nanya A-die, unknown wtf) Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3000MHz Kit kahapon sa pizzahan mga 1pm. Yung 3200mhz kit sana kaso out of stock :(

Hmm... medyo malas sir kasi ang Nanya is not that good I believe. Mukhang may new batch of Patriot Blackout RAM at nagpalit sila from Hynix to Nanya chips. Nanya is a small memory manufacturer at sila yung gumagawa ng RAM chips na included sa SSD or cellphones etc. Also medyo may disadvantage ka with the ASRock B450 motherboard since ang ASRock B450 motherboards hindi din masyado maganda ang memory compatibility dahil sa weird sub-timings na gamit nila. You might have to change the sub-timings manually.

My suggestion is replace mo nalang sa shop with higher speed RAM like yung Patriot Blackout DDR4-3600 since mas sure na Hynix or Micron chips ang gamit niya. But then again hindi ako sure kung mas maganda ang chances mo with the ASRock B450 motherboard.

Kung gusto mo attempt paganahin ang DDR4-3000 also try using Ryzen DRAM calculator ni 1usmus and follow the safe sub-timings. Baka kailangan lang ng slower command rate (2T) or higher ProcODT setting.

Pero if hinahabol mo ang 7-day replacement period, try to have the memory replaced as soon as possible. I would also consider switching motherboards kung may option to swap to a different board.

    ------------------

Looking at other threads mukhang matino naman ang Nanya A-Die... so it could be yung motherboard ang may problem.

Welp, that's sad though I guess I'll go with replacement nalang. Pano ba ang klase ng replacement nila, palitan lang nila mismo ng same unit or pwede ako mag ibang RAM tas add nalang like if meron nung Ripjaws 16gvkb or yung Klevv na kagaya kay chiboman?

Currently running 2800c16 ako without bsod pero pag nag testmem5 may mga error findings.

Wala na talaga budget if magpalit ng board tsk. I'll try my luck nalang bukas if pwedeng replace then new unit + cash

    Thanks sir
  • ^ If they have the G.Skill Flare X 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4-3200 - F4-3200C14D-16GFX I suggest you get these, mine runs @ 3800Mhz CL16 @ 1.35.

  • @emhelmark2

Ubos na yata ang DDR4-3200 kits but kung may stock that is also a good option assuming hindi Nanya chips din ang gamit niya.

Also try mo din i-tweak using Ryzen DRAM Calculator baka makuha sa sub-timings and higher voltage.

Personally I would go for the Patriot Viper Blackout DDR4-3600 kit then subukan nalang paganahin at DDR4-3200 CL16 or better. Kung ayaw talaga then most likely motherboard ang cause ng incompatibility and buying more expensive memory will just be a waste of time and money. Chalk it up to experience nalang...

Regarding dun sa issue ko, I guess its the mobo + ram combination nga pero I think its more on mobo.

Btw updated naman bios ko nung una 1.0.0.3ABB ayaw so nag update ako 1.0.0.4 but ayaw padin talaga ng 3000mhz or up.

    G.Skill Flare X 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4-3200 - F4-3200C14D-16GFX

Dun sa tanong mo kung if worth it palitan... well ikaw nalang pwede mag decide nun sir.

Worth it naman din bumili ng higher speed RAM kasi in the future kapag mag upgrade ka to Ryzen 4000 processor magagamit mo parin yan :-)

Sabagay tama ka sir haha actually "medyo" decided na ako kanina na I go(pareplace) ko na this weekday pero eto mas decided nako.

And actually decided na ako na mag upgrade to Ryzen 4000 on release next year so mas tama talaga na mag invest ako sangayon high speed rams, if "hindi man" kayanin ng mobo ko ngayon yung 3600mhz with great timings pero tama ka sir na at least medyo maganda na nag invest ko sa ram.

I'll go with replacement na, sana pumayag sila.

    Thanks ule.

  • Now available for Php 8,750

Budget builds just got better :-)
  • Wowowie sarap niyan.
  • @dominix

  • @sleepygeepy

    Specification :

    ryzen 7 2700

    asrock b450m steel legend

    8gb hyperx predator 3200mhz x2

    rx570

    corsair vs550

    crucial mx500 250gb ssd

    Fixes Attempted :

    Asrock Bios Settings

    1.Changed Auto to XMP profile 1 3200mhz

DRAM Voltage Auto to 1.35v instead of 1.200

    2.Changed Auto to XMP profile 2 3000mhz

DRAM Voltage Auto to 1.35v instead of 1.200

    - Pwede 3000mhz pero pag nag run ako ng application or games, lagi siyang "Not Responding" sa mga apps or mag hang saglit.

    3.Bios Upgrade to v2.90

  • @dominix

    1. Download and install yung Freeware version ng Thaiphoon Burner here: <click here for link>

    2. Download and install ang latest Ryzen DRAM Calculator here: <click here for link>

Then pwede natin extract ang XMP timings ng memory kit mo using Thaiphoon Burner and input sa DRAM calculator. From there pwede natin makuha ano yung stable timings na recommended for your memory kit + CPU + motherboard combination. At pwede din natin makita ano yung recommended voltage nila for the memory and IMC ng processor :-)
