AMD Radeon RX 580 Graphics Card

  • May nakapag try na mag OC ng RX580?
  • anong magandang pang clean uninstall ng AMD drivers? MSi rx580 8gb po gamit ko. nakaka experience kasi ako ng GPU throttling sa ibang games usage is from 100% biglang mag 0% tapos balik ng 100%.. temps are below 70c.

  • Question lang mga sirs. Bottleneck ba tong Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB RX580 sa i5-4460?

    Hndi po, same tyo procie :)
  • @sleepygeepy

    Yung suggestion ko sir, is go for the Sapphire NITRO+ RX 570 4GB for Php 10,700. You get the improved NITRO+ cooler and yung 8-pin + 6-pin power helps in overclocking. Performance is more or less the same as the RX 480 and if you overclock, it can go faster than the RX 480 in some games.

    One seller is advertising the Sapphire NITRO+ RX 580 4GB for Php 12,250 but I'm not sure kung worth it. Yung 4GB version has the same 7Gbps VRAM as the RX 570 and power consumption is a lot higher. Also sagad narin ang RX 580 sa clock speeds so I don't think you can overclock the GPU any further. Yung only way of overclocking the RX 580 4GB is making the VRAM run faster. If you are going with an RX 580 now, might as well get the 8GB version so you get guaranteed faster VRAM and just run the card at stock speeds for power savings.

    So to summarize, with the Sapphire NITRO+ RX 570 4GB you get:

    - Better cooling than the old Sapphire NITRO+ cards or the Sapphire PULSE versions.
    - Better overclocking headroom than the RX 580. The improved cooler and 8-pin + 6-pin power helps.
    - Power draw is about the same as the RX 480 and much lower than the RX 580.
    - Performance in games will most likely be the same as RX 580 4GB especially if paired with your Core i5-4460. You won't notice the difference.

    Salamat Sir, Nitro+ RX 570 nlng kuhanin ko. mas priority ko din nman kasi cooling, durability, future proof, and maybe power consumption. I activate ko nlng Silent mode.
    May mga gusto lang ako iconfirm Sir.
    - Almost same performance ang Nitro+ RX 480 (Stock) VS Nitro+ RX 570 (Stock) ?
    - Ano advantage pag ginamet ko additional 6pin power o san say needed? nabasa ko kasi pwede kahit wala.
    - Almost same performance ang Nitro+ RX 570 (OC) VS Auros RX 580 (Stock) ?

    Salamat ule Sir.
  • Hndi po, same tyo procie :)

    Ayus! Salamat bro.
  • Nice! Ako naman i5-4590 gamit ko. Haswell Refresh masters. lol

    - Almost same performance ang Nitro+ RX 480 (Stock) VS Nitro+ RX 570 (Stock) ?

    Sapphire RX 570 NITRO+ 4GB = 1340 MHz Boost Clock
    Sapphire RX 480 NITRO+ 4GB = 1306 MHz Boost Clock

    Siguro may difference lang of 2% - 3% pagadating sa framerates. If paired with your Core i5-4460 baka hindi mo din ma-feel ang difference between the two cards while gaming. In terms of cooling performance, for sure mas maganda ang temps ng RX 570 NITRO+ dahil sa upgraded heatsink.

    - Ano advantage pag ginamet ko additional 6pin power o san say needed? nabasa ko kasi pwede kahit wala.

    Yung RX 570 is like an overclocked + optimized RX 470, so mas malakas ang power draw niya.

    - Almost same performance ang Nitro+ RX 570 (OC) VS Auros RX 580 (Stock) ?

  • may naka-GIGABYTE rx 580 dito(auros or not)? Question: Napagana nyo yung LED controls sa auros graphics engine? TIA

Yes for once napagana ko through the app (forgot the name, Gigabyte Gaming app?). Although I already uninstalled it since I'm using MSI Afterburner and baka magka-conflict kasi.
  • May tanong lang po ako dun sa sapphire nitro+ rx580 dun sa 8pin 6pin. Kailangan po bang saksakan ung Dalawang slot or pwedeng 8pin or either 6pin

Kailangan po bang saksakan ung Dalawang slot or pwedeng 8pin or either 6pin

    Advice ko sir is dapat naka-connect pareho yung 6-pin and 8-pin connector.

    Actually nung chineck ko yung manual ng Seasonic G-650 PSU, yung nakalagay na instruction is use two separate PCI-E cables if yung videocard is 225 watts or higher. Since nasa 230 watts pataas ang Sapphire RX 580, kailangan niya talaga yung dual PCI-E cable.

    Yung popular na brands ngayon is MSI, XFX, and Gigabyte.
  • @Sleepygeepy

Ok Sir, pero tngen nyo still worth it ang Nitro+ 570 vs Auros 580? actually priority ko in order are temperature, power draw, durability, performance.
  • May nakapag try na mag OC ng RX580?

    Yep...Ito Firestrike score ko with an OC of 1525 sa XFX GTR Rx 580 ng Family PC namen..:D

    Depende din sir sa model of RX 480 and RX 570. Meron mga models na mas matipid sa power tulad ng ASUS STRIX at meron din models na mas mataas ang power consumption tulad ng Sapphire NITRO and XFX Black Edition etc.

    Pero kung ang comparison mo is between the same videocard design (for example: RX 480 NITRO+ vs RX 570 NITRO+) in general mas matipid parin sa power consumption ang RX 570 but not by much. To give you an idea, ito yung power measurements ni Techpowerup:

    Peak Gaming
    240W = Sapphire RX 580 NITRO+ Limited (Boost BIOS)
    224W = Sapphire RX 580 NITRO+ Limited (Quiet BIOS)
    207W = MSI RX 480 GAMING X
    180W = Sapphire RX 570 PULSE
    180W = ASUS RX 480 STRIX
    167W = Reference RX 480

    Kung priority mo ang low power draw, then mas matipid ang RX 570 kesa RX 480 siguro by 20 watts... maybe less. I'm not sure kung mapapansin mo siya in actual use. Pwede mo naman i-undervolt or i-lower ang power limit para bumaba ang power consumption ng videocard. Just take note lang na may effect ito sa performance dahil limited na ang GPU humila ng extra power so hindi na siya maka increase masyado sa clock speeds.

    Ok Sir, pero tngen nyo still worth it ang Nitro+ 570 vs Auros 580? actually priority ko in order are temperature, power draw, durability, performance.

    Based sa priorities mo, mas magandang choice ang Sapphire RX 570 NITRO+ kesa Gigabyte RX 580. You get a better GPU cooler paired with a chip that is cooler running and uses less power. In terms of durability, alam ko both Sapphire and Gigabyte matibay naman so hindi issue ang durability.

    Pero personal opinion ko lang... kung plan mo din i-undervolt at i-lower ang power limit ng videocard... might as well get the Gigabyte RX 580. Kapag under-volted at power-limited na yung videocard yung cooling at temps hindi na masyado issue. Mas less ang performance hit mo sa RX 580 dahil mas madami siyang shaders than RX 570 and yung 8GB VRAM niya is much faster than yung 4GB VRAM ng RX 570.

  • NEED HELP guys. Although, not sure kung sa thread na ito dapat ako mag post (if now, please link me sa tamang thread).

    I'm having issues with my displayport. Ayaw mag On ng computer ko (cold boot) kapag naka plugged in ang displayport. Kapag HDMI lang ang naka plugged-in, nag-On naman. Weird kasi may workaround, On ko siya using HDMI only then upon logging in to Windows, I will plug-in the displayport and it works. Hassle lang, hindi naman ito ganito last time I used it. Don't tell me I have to unplug the displayport cable everytime I turn on my computer?

    Note I haven't tried changing the displayport cable as I only have one. For now, I will try re-intalling the GPU drivers.
  • ilan umaabot ang temps ng RX580 nyo? I have MSI RX580 GamingX 8gb umaabot cya ng 75c at full load
  • @lenz825

    I'm using XFX GTS Black Edition RX 580..60 to 65 ang temps ko kapag 1450 ang OC, 68 to 73 naman kapag 1525..
  • try nyo naman yung tekken 7 sa 580 nyo
  • out of stock na ba talaga 580 dito?
  • Tuwing nag-iinquire ako, ang laging sinasabi, incoming stocks but prices will most likely increase. #sadnu
