^ Depending on the aspect ratio settings in the monitor OSD, either the image will be pillar boxed or stretched horizontally.

Tanong: Anong reso ang official Ultrawide? Dalawa kasi pinagpipilian ko. Isa eh 2560x1440 then yung isa eh 3440x1440.

Does it mean 2560x1440 should normally be referred to as wide and not ultrawide? Sa mga online stores kasi they both call them ultrawide kaya naguluhan tuloy ako.

^ Yung 2560x1440 tinatawag na widescreen since 16:9 aspect ratio siya. Yung 3440x1440 ay 21:9 so ultrawide yun. Yung 5120x1440 naman na 32:9 aspect ratio katulad nung sa Samsung Odyssey G9 tawag dun super ultrawide or super wide.
Sa pagkakaalam ko ang non wide aspect ratio sa mga monitors ay yung 4:3 like 1024x768 for example.
Either hindi alam nung seller or false advertising

Been using my Xiaomi 34in UW for weeks now and I must say tama ung sinasabi nila dati, mahirap bumalik sa regular monitors. The width of the monitor is great for multitasking especially this times na I'm working from home. Games are superb and very immersive, though at first medyo nakakalula.
VA vs IPS - IPS pa rin for me, but at this price range wala akong makita na Ultrawide IPS. VA is great though, dinadaan na lang sa screen calibration.

I change my cable to a display port kasi yun ang pinaka maayus ni quadro. ayaw ko naman mag dvi. any disadvantage ng dual port guys?
@azelkish - oo dapat masanay muna pero maliliitan ka na sa ibang monitor pag gamay mo na.

I'm curious though, ano hitsura ng image quality ng PS4 kung ang output nya ay 1080p tapos sa 1440p UW screen? Obvious ba na hindi 1:1 yung pixels?

so ok naman yung image? I mean di naman gaano pansin unless talagang pansinin? Ang inaaalala ko lang kasi sa 1440p UW or not eh kapag nag console ako :(

Depende yung blurriness sa output resolution ng game at console, yung monitor upscaler, at sa perception ng user.
Pag mas mataas ang output resolution ng game like say PS4 Pro with checkerboard rendering to 4K, likely na mas maganda ang output sa 1440p UW pero kung 1080p or less ang output resolution ng game, mas blurry siguro.
Yung Switch ko, sinubukan ko ikabit sa X34P ko, for me, blurry talaga. I couldn't stand it. IMO, mas bagay ang consoles sa TV rather than PC monitor in terms of aspect ratio at resolution scaling.
