Laptop with windows 10 downgrade to win 7, is this OK?

  • Just bought an Asus FX550VX with following specs: 15.6" size, i5 7300HQ, NVidia GTX 950M, 1TB HDD, 1080p display, no ODD, with Win 10 64bit Home.

Want to replace the HDD to a WD Blue 500gb SSD.

Since one of those who would be using the laptop is my wife and she is not a techie and does not want a new interface (Windows 10 is alien for her), I want to change the OS from Win 10 to Win 7. I have a licensed Windows 7 64bit. Now, I checked the Asus website for drivers and the only ones there for my laptop are for Windows 10 64bit. Now could those drivers be used for Windows 7 64bit?
  • Can't you just use Classic Shell to emulate the Win 7 UI? No need to replace the OS.

  • I don't think the Win10 drivers will work on Win7 os but you can install Win7 and use windows update to download drivers for your laptop. More often than not, meron drivers sa windows update.
  • stick with windows 8.1, para sa kin mas stable sya - ang problema mo sa win10 is yung forced windows update
