  • Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the correct thread pero I am a total newbie kasi -- I'm going to be building my rig in the next week or two. So I just wanna understand how cooling really works.

Nakabili na po kasi ako kanina ng Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Acrylic case -- it has one fan at the rear that comes with it. Should I buy four more cooling fans to place at the front (2 intake) and at the top (2 exhaust?)? Ganun po ba yun? And FYI po pala may kasama rin po palang Cooler Master Hyper 212X yung build ko so to sum it all up i'll be having the ff:

1 fan that comes with the case,
4 additional fans to be bought(?) (Cooler Master SickleFlow X 120mm 2000rpm Blue/Red LED Fan maybe?),
    1 CM Hyper 212X

So a total of 6 fans po all in all? Tama po ba yung gagawin ko? Pasensya na po :(

    TIA!

I believe there's no problem having all those fans (intake and exhaust). By the way, where did you bought the case? I'm actually looking for it. :)
  • @sydmon
    bakit 1case fan lang kasama..yung akin 2 fans..1 rear and 1 front ..

    I'll message you. :)

    @ouroboros

What is the exact mode of your case sir?

Oops sorry my bad. Checked the box again. Oo nga, 1x PH-F140SP rear fan + 1 Phanteks "premium" fan.

    Tanong lang,

if meron na palang 140mm fan for the front, kailangan ba yung bibilhin ko rin na isa pa para sa front is 140mm rin? OR should I just use the included 140mm rear fan for the front? Kumbaga pagsamahin ko nalang yung included fans for the front as intake. Then buy 3 more 120mm fans for the top (2x) and rear (1x)?

And also, dumb question: How do I set it as "intake" or "exhaust"? I mean, yes I will be placing them sa mga pwesto nila sa front, top and rear pero pano po ba yun gagawin intake or exhaust.

    Pasensya na po and TIA!

  • ^make the 2 Stock fans as intake maganda airflow nila..to make fan as intake yung fan holder should facing the the back..tas yung 3 na bibilhin mo as exhaust
  • ^

ahh so intake/exhaust is just a matter of where the fan is facing po? Thanks thanks!
  • yep..watch mo ito..<click here for link>
  • ^

Just watched it. Mukhang same perf lang ang 2 front 2 top 1 rear sa 2 front 1 top 1 rear.. Ang kaso di nabanggit yung configuration ng fans if alin yung intake and exhaust.

Is 2 front intake, top and rear exhaust a good setup?

  • Hey guys,

May advantage ba ang 140mm fans sa 120mm? Baka kasi mag 140mm nalang din ako since 140mm din yung included na 2 sa case ko.. Thinking Corsair AF140
  • @sydmon

Most of the time, same lang sila ng performance (Depende sa brand at model) pero mas tahimik ang 140mm for the same amount of air na kaya ibuga ng 120mm. Basically bigger blades = same amount of air at a lower RPM
