  • How much po yung gigabyte aorus ACT800?

    many thanks po

And for the GPU upgrade, might go for strix gpu nalang instead of asus turbo. Thanks for the inputs sir. :)
  • @TPC_GameGuard025

Yung videocard fans create enough negative pressure to suck air through the PCI slot covers. This is also the reason kung bakit mga PCI slot covers ngayon may vents na para makapasok ang hangin.

    On your Phanteks P400S case, enough na yung 2x140mm front mounted Noctua fans to provide airflow sa CPU and GPU section. Ideally I would prefer yung 3x120mm fans para may airflow din sa harddrive section and it will even reach the PSU.

    Yung rear exhaust fan can be a regular 120mm case fan and hindi naman kailangan ng expensive fan like Noctua. Hindi restrictive ang rear fan grill ng Phanteks P400S so any high airflow fan will do. If you want better temps sa CPU, just leave the top vent open para yung CPU cooler can pull fresh air from the top.

    As for the GPU upgrade... good choice ang ASUS STRIX especially mga triple fan models. Yung videocard is long enough na yung third fan will get most of the fresh air from the front fans.
  • @Tiberivs

  • @Squall_2798

    Sir, kamusta naman temp mo using Cryorig Quad Lumi?

  • Hi guys,

    What can you say with these CPU Coolers, what do you think is the more bang for the buck when it comes to cooling?

    1. CM Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition
    2. CM Cooler Master MasterAir MA410M, RGB
    3. CM Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB
    4. NZXT Kraken M22
    5. Cryorig H7 Quad LUMI RGB

    Will be using a Ryzen 7 3700X.
  • @trradcite

    sa2600x na procie idle temp 50 C sa gaming naman mga nasa 60 to 65 C no aircon at nasa second floor po rig po.
  • @jmac2010: bang for the buck?... how about adding sa list mo ang deepcool and idcooling?... they have decent air and aio's na bang for the buck and rgb rin... max budget sir?...
  • @jma2010
    What can you say with these CPU Coolers, what do you think is the more bang for the buck when it comes to cooling?

    1. CM Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition = 2,710
    2. CM Cooler Master MasterAir MA410M, RGB = 3,560
    3. CM Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB = 5,060
    4. NZXT Kraken M22 = 3,300
    5. Cryorig H7 Quad LUMI RGB = 3,290

    Will be using a Ryzen 7 3700X.

    Among the choices you mentioned... I would go with the Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition since it is the cheapest. Then maybe the Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi as the second option. The rest I feel are too expensive or you are mostly buying them for the aesthetics / lights / RGB. I'm not a fan of AIO watercoolers so I recommend you stick to aircooling if you want long term reliability.

    If you want bang for buck performance, take a look at ID Cooling SE-207 for only Php 2,120. It is a very affordable twin tower air cooler and should be able to cool an 8-core Ryzen CPU. It does not come with two RGB fans though so you need to buy your own if you want to have RGB.

    The other option is Cooler Master MasterAir MA620P which is also a twin tower cooler but comes with RGB fans. Price is a bit more expensive at Php 3,530 and cooling performance is probably the same as the ID Cooling SE-207.

    cryorig qf120... walang leds or rgb pero it'll do the work... do check the link na lang as it has three variants... silent, performance and balance...

    on my end... performance sana hanap ko dati pero dahil walang stock eh nauwi na lang ako sa id cooling xf-12025 rgb... pero i heard may stocks na ngayon...

    if only your case permits 140mm fans eh mas maganda sana alternative 140mm dahil low rpm pero mataas cfm... 'yun nga lang stuck ka sa 120mm...

  • @STASIS and @ sleepygeepy

    My budget for the CPU Cooler is 3.5K-5K. I currently use a Thermaltake Riing12 3 fan pack and ID Cooling SF 12025 for my fan cases and I plan to migrate those fans sa new rig. I don't see ID Cooling in most CPU reviews in the US, well most likely because of availability. According to the reviews, ok ang performance ng CM MasterAir MA410M. I also like the Deep Cool Captain EX na 240mm. Medyo pricey nga lang. Based on online reviews, very minimal headroom for OC sa Ryzen 3000s and to take full advantage ng PBO given that it would have higher voltages, I need it to be cool.
  • @jmac2010: ano ba talaga preference mo for ryzen 3xxx?... aircooler ba or aio?... as per my post... if you'll opt for an aircooler... ok na 'yung id-cooling se-207 (sleepygeepy's suggestion)... if your case... space restriction and its weight permits that is... twin tower cooler siya... bihira ang site reviews and only videos on youtube are reviews on other languages and unboxings... pero it doesn't mean na perfromance is poor... though wala namang problema kung mag stick sa known brands...

    se-207 comes with two 120mm fans on push pull config... yung pull niya eh nasa gitna 'yung fan orientation... as have said on my previous post... kung gusto mong rgb fans ang cooler and overkill on fans na equipped... you can also buy an rgb 120mm fan... i-tatlo mo na?... 1 push and 2 pull (mid and end)... depending on your motherboard rgb connector kung rgb or argb siya as id-cooling has various rgb fan models that covers rgb and argb... pero sa performance on my end.. i opted for id-cooling xf-12025-rgb fans kasi same spec siya ng stock rgb fan ng se-224-rgb cooler ko and 'yang fans na din 'yan ang gamit nila sa aura flow x series aio nila... trio pack kinuha ko para may mga extensions for fan header and rgb

    se-207 link
    <click here for link>
    id-cooling rgb fans
    <click here for link>

    cooler price as posted by sleepygeepy is 2,120php while xf-12025 rgb trio pack is 1,590php... 3,710... or use your existing 120mm fans or doon sa package na lang ng cooler na 2 120mm fans para mas makamura

    for other suggestions... wait tayo ng ibang members...

Then ma-co-control mo yung speed ng lahat ng fans connected to the hub using that motherboard header? Hindi mo ma co-control each fan individually, but at least in-sync lahat ng speed nila. I could be wrong though...

    currently using 3pcs Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition as exhaust sa Tecware Edge ko kasi masyado maingay rinig yung ugong kahit sa kabila kuwarto.

    Check mo sir kung may loose rivets or screws yung case kaya may vibration. Pwede mo din ipatong ang case sa rubber mat para hindi mag transfer ang vibration sa table or other surface na nag-resonate or ilayo mo from the wall. Pwede mo din remove yung 2 exhaust fans sa top panel since hindi naman sila needed most of the time (your CPU cooler will work better too).

    Before considering buying new fans... might be better to buy a better case instead... especially one with thick steel panels and tighter tolerances para hindi prone to vibration.

Try using DeepCool Buffer B1 first for all your fans and see kung ma-lessen ang noise. Mura lang naman ang DeepCool Buffer B1 parang nasa Php 50 per pack last I remember.

  • @sleepygeepy: ang gripe ko lang sa dc buffer... katagalan rumurupok... kaya palit ulit... and minsan may gap sa pagkaka-connect sa case 'yung fan... di katulad ng tried and tested screws... lapat na lapat... napansin ko lang sa mga new case fans ngayon eh may rubber na sila sa gilid... kaya kahit konti eh nakakatulong din to lessen vibrations...

  • @STASIS

    I'll look into the ID Cooling SE 207. Mukhang maganda nga design niya. When it comes to the fans, I might use yung PL 12025 ko na fans and use the stock Se 207 fans as front case fans. Thanks
  • @STASIS

    So far ok naman sa akin ang DeepCool Buffer, more than 7 years na siya dun sa isa kong PC and hindi pa naman nagiging loose ang fan or anything. Yung problem lang is once installed, mahirap i-remove so you end up cutting it if you need to replace the fan. So parang nagiging single-use lang sila.

    Yung gap is I think by design. Kasi gusto mo na yung 4 small rubber points lang ang in-contact with the PC case. If yung other parts ng fan frame touches the case then hindi na siya isolated and yung fan vibration will transfer to the case. Yung gap is very thin, around 1-2mm lang so hindi naman siguro masama ang effect.

    Yung mga ibang case fans ngayon may rubber pads on each corner. Pero napansin ko na minsan masyado sila manipis and allows the fan frame to touch the case if you overtighten the screws. So hindi na isolated ang fan from the case and vibration can transfer. Although some fans come with their own rubber buffer screws like si Noctua and Cougar Vortex HDB so may extra layer of isolation / dampening if you use them.

    But at high fan RPM's minsan maingay lang talaga ang ibang case fans... Hindi na yung vibration ng fan naririnig mo / nararamdaman mo sa case but yung whooshing sound ng malakas na airflow hitting the fan grill :-)
  • @jmac2010: check cryorig qf120 performance... 500php per fan... 83cfm... wala nga lang ilaw... replacement for the 2 stock fans... or overkill... triple fan...

  • @jmac2010

    Well given na you are willing to spend up to Php 5K, might as well consider high-end aircooling like Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4. That is the CPU cooler I'm using now, super quiet but with high cooling performance. It should be able to handle the Ryzen 7 3700X easily and you can re-use it for future Ryzen upgrades, especially if you move up to a 12-core CPU. Warranty and support from Noctua is very good and they even include a regular syringe of Noctua NT-H1 paste inside the box.

    The only issue with the Noctua NH-D15 is you need a case that can accomodate a CPU cooler 165mm in height. If you are planning to use a Micro-ATX motherboard, you need to check the Noctua website for compatibility as the heatsink can sometimes touch the videocard backplate on tightly spaced boards.

    But overall I think Noctua NH-D15 is one of the highest performing aircoolers available, and cooling performance is about the same as a 240mm AIO watercooler. To get better cooling performance you need to upgrade to a more expensive 280mm or 360mm AIO watercooler.
  • @sleepygeepy

Parang extension lang pala siya ng PWM signal... o well baka need to buy yung more expensive fan hub like NZXT Grid?

    Actually meron fans na hindi designed to be mounted with the fan shaft in a vertical position, like when mounted as an exhaust fan sa top panel. Or in other words, the fan blades are facing downwards or upwards... but especially downwards.

    Usually case fans that use sleeve bearings are not designed to be loaded in a way where the bearing has to carry the whole weight of the fan blades. So imagine kung upside down siya, the weight of the fan blades + force of airflow is trying to pull the fan blades away from the bearing hub. Also yung lubricant does not coat the whole shaft kasi it settles downward, and this can cause uneven wear sa sleeve bearing and go bad.

    But if you mount the fan standing up, like in a front mounted intake fan or rear mounted exhause fan... yung fan shaft is in a horizontal position and supports the whole weight of the fan blades. Yung bearing lubricant stays at the center of the fan shaft as well.

    Kung gusto mo parin mag top panel exhaust setup, try looking for fans with ball bearings. Maingay lang sila ng konti but at least hindi sila mag wear out unevenly when mounted upside down. I think yung fluid dynamic bearing fans also work kasi yung madalas gamit sa PSU (where the fan is facing down).
  • Kasya daw yung 160mm air cooler sa tecware nexus m kahit isara yung tempered glass side panel. CMIIR

    Thanks

    silent reader here and thanks sa mga inputs sir. pa suggest naman ng good airflow case budget is not more than 4k and with a good cpu cooler na rin ill be using it for r5 3600 though wala pa naman ako balak mag OC budget is not more than 4k din.

    Yung mga ibang case fans ngayon may rubber pads on each corner. Pero napansin ko na minsan masyado sila manipis and allows the fan frame to touch the case if you overtighten the screws. lastly any suggestion na stock fans that has rubber pads/screws since yung ibang case ngayun front lang included minsan rear lang. pan dagdag ko lang or pwede din palitan ko na rin lahat. non rgb or rgb if meron, maraming salamat bro. :)

    Available na this weekend ang new Tecware Alpha series, siguro depende nalang sa motherboard mo kung ATX or Micro-ATX. Personally I think this one of the nicer looking "front airflow" styled cases available :-)

    May hinihintay ako na review on this case, but looking at the design and features, parang ok naman and I don't see any issues. May included 3 fans na siya so you don't need to buy case fans kaagad. Also yung front mesh looks fine enough na hindi na kailangan ng dust filter... or siya na mismo ang mag serve as the dust filter... punas lang with a cloth for maintenance.

    Price ng Tecware Alpha M is Php 2K based sa isang FB post... yung ATX version most likely nasa below Php 2.5K

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Another good high airflow case that is slightly more expensive is CoolerMaster NR400 (Php 3,120) and CoolerMaster NR600 (Php 3,560). Yung version that is sold locally does not have the optical drive slot so mas cleaner looking.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Regarding the CPU cooler, best budget choices now would be yung DeepCool Gammaxx GTE (Php 1,490) or Gammaxx GTE TUF edition (Php 1,730). Hindi malakas ang heat output ng Ryzen 5 3600 and hindi naman din siya worth overclocking, so a budget 120mm tower aircooler is more than enough to keep boost clocks high.

    lastly any suggestion na stock fans that has rubber pads/screws since yung ibang case ngayun front lang included minsan rear lang. pan dagdag ko lang or pwede din palitan ko na rin lahat. non rgb or rgb if meron

    Not sure kung may stock fans (included sa case) that has rubber mounts, but most come with just regular / cheap case fans that you attach with metal screws. Cheapest option is to buy DeepCool Buffer like yung na mention ko a few posts above.

    But if willing ka to upgrade your case fans to something a lot better, check mo sir ang Cougar Vortex HDB. These are high airflow but very quiet fans with hydrodynamic bearing and PWM inputs. Pagdating naman sa performance very satisfied ako sa kanila, really quiet yet very strong airflow for a case fan (parang poor man's Noctua fans). They come with rubber pads on each corner, low voltage adapters, and may included na rubber isolation mounts (see the video below).

    Downside is they only come in black-orange color trim so baka hindi bagay sa RGB builds. Price-wise they are a bit expensive at around Php 600 per fan but you get your money's worth. Noctua fans are the best but they also cost 2x as much :-)
