Good day TPC members.
My seagate hdd was working fine but after i plugged it in on my samsung smart tv and plugged it again on my computer it shows access denied e: is not accessible. After searching all forums and videos i found a solution to access it by having to set permission on security and ownership of the hard drive. And now i can access the drive. But the problem is now that i can see the folders inside all of it is empty but its showing 266Gb free out of 947GB. Movies that are not in folder is shown but the details are all 0.
example:
13 Hours Bluray Dts.mkv
0 seconds
4.5gb
-and im not able to play it on any video player.
Plus when i clicked the folders inside the drive it always said "you do dont have the permission to access this folder".
Need help please..i dont want to format this drive and delete all 160 movies inside it.

External Hard Drive problem

try doing this.....right click....look in the security tab....change the permissions for the drive....you have to have administrative privileges in windows to do this.
