*Dito Telecommunity - 3rd Telco (Mislatel)

  • ^ modem ba gamit mo or cp lang? nagbabago ba yung signal pag naulan or same lang?
  • @Rayster25

  • @hamz
malas lang dito all tower ganon wala ata back up tower pag outage ng kuryente huhuhu
  • @hamz, the ever famous B315~ Halos same lng ata signal?

  • @andoksus & tipster

  • Oks ba gamitin ung TP-Link mr150 or TP-Link mr100 for Dito? Or Better TP-Link TL-MR6400.

  • Kaya mahirap talaga pumasok as 3rd telco sa Pinas, since you need to interconnect sa existing duopoly (Globe and PLDT). They will make it very hard for the new player. Wala naman choice si Dito, since kapag walang interconnect then they can't grow their subscriber base.
  • given na wala pang independent third party investigation result and have to base it sa past nila regarding interconnection, i'm slightly leaning to Globe on this one. Globe has been relatively friendly sa interconnection nila and it's actually been PLDT/Smart na mas may reklamo regarding interconnection (i mean, PLDT delayed until the last minute para sumali sa PHOpenIX) among other complaints ng Globe vs PLDT/Smart in the past.

That being said, personally nagpu-push true naman calls ko from Dito to Globe/Smart without a hitch. Possible din na call failure lang sa receiving end (Globe/Smart/PLDT on this case) rather than intentional call blocking especially since di pa as mature as it can be VoLTE implementation ng Globe/Smart and the fact na majority ng customers ay on LTE na for Globe and Smart, kailangan magfallback muna to 2G/3G which adds a little complexity and point of failure.
Nagdemand sila ng interconnection charges for sms.

Kailan? Last time I remember nagka-interconnection issue sila was nung kasagsagan ng isa sa major network upgrades ng Globe around 2013 ata yun and it didn't involve payments. It was delayed SMS to/from Globe-Sun instead of outright blocking.

I even remember nung time na kasagsagan ng upgrade sa area namin eh walang nadaloy na data at all and minsan kahit sms/calls globe to globe mahirap. Tapos bigla na lang after nung upgrade activities eh lumalampas na ng 3.6Mbps yung supposedly max speed 3.6 Mbps na HSDPA usb modems and phones.

ako naman sir personally speakiing din.
    happened early this year.

-ball park figure, 1st attempt success rate to any networks
    -same location, all location

    1. Globe 97%
    2. Gomo 94%
    3. Dito 1st Attempt 20%
    Dito 2nd 40%
    3rd 50%
    4th 60%
    5th 80%
    6th 95%

    Dito to Dito: 97%
Imagine, having to waste at least 2 minutes everytime I call.
Id like to see myself as quite patient person, pero in just 1 month, i alraedy dropped DITO just because of this.

Halata na may nangyayari kasi pag dito to dito, pasok naman lagi.
  • At this point results na lang of ann independent third party investigation can shed light kung ano yung totoo though I'm not sure if masasapubliko yung results and to what extent. May possibility din kasi na privately nila i-settle yung issue without providing the public of details.

As for me, coverage ng DITO main restricting factor bakit di ko siya fully magamit as much as I want to (add mo pa yung factor na DITO doesn't have unlidata promos right now). I can have continuous usable data OUTDOORS. I have experienced na on some OUTDOOR places near along EDSA eh weak yung signal (as in yung raw signal received) and consequently would cause unreliable data experience. Hopefully their ongoing network expansion would address that soon enough lalo na if you rely on mobile data for maps-related services (waze, pokemon go, transport and delivery apps). At the very least kasi I can rely on Globe and Smart to have good enough and usable outdoor coverage. Densifying their networks would also help para mas madali and mass smooth handover for faster moving vehicles, which will address yung mas malaking tendency nila for packet loss for on the go use cases.

  • On their own, Globe Telecom Inc. and Smart Communications Inc. cannot refuse or limit interconnection to DITO Telecommunity for “any reason” whatsoever.

“They have adequate legal avenues to course their grievances of other telcos causing damages to their networks and income, but they cannot use interconnection as a weapon,” he pointed out.

    <click here for link>

  • "cannot refuse or limit interconnection"

pero tendency/default behavior ng security software is to block detected malicious/fraudulent traffic. So assuming sa side ng DITO yung issue, too much to ask na i-ignore yung detections originating from their network from a security perspective coz that can escalate to something worse pag pinabayaan.

Buti nga and voice call traffic issue lang ito. Would have been worse if internet traffic interconnection dispute coz I'm not sure how robust so far yung internet routes ng DITO.

  • Good Morning :)

  • hindi na sila nakapag deploy ng wired internet, sa area ko last year umaabot pa ng 150mbps, ngayon 30mbps na lang
  • I bought a DITO sim and a unlocked globe LTE modem

Pero mahina signal and speed. Di aabot 1mbps. So I bought a SMA extension cable para ilabas sa bintana ang antenna

No change. Then I noticed ganito sa dashboard. Keso walang nakakabit, nakakabit ang included antenna directly, using the extension cable, or even borrowing an antenna from a PLDT fibr ONU or an old 3rd party DSL modem router

I opened up the device, nothing looks broken, there is one wire connected to each antenna male plug

  • @AmalgamvsAloof
Saan mo nabili yang antenna cable and hiw much?

    lazada
  • ok ba ung china unicom 5g cpe vn007? In terms of quality against sa mga expensive ones.
  • @AmalgamvsAloof: same experince... had a broken antenna (1 working... 1 broken)... pero built in lang ang nakalagay kahit nakakabit (using extenders na galing sa online shops)... using the other working antenna eh external ang lumalabas... i think incompatible yung mga nasa shops even though physically pasok siya sa port...
