Dito Telecom

  • It seems that Dito Telecom already have their own Speedtest server located at BGC in Taguig City. Hoping for the early start of their service. Screenshot is posted below:

  • sagot ng mga pinoy gamer DITO telecom para hindi tayo kawawa sa mabagal na internet

  • @BangBros the overhead of China Telecom in China is different from the overhead in the Philippines.

    These are possible reasons why China Telecom can offer prices that low in China

    * Walang 12% VAT
    * Walang Congressional Franchise
    * No cost relating to international backbone to connect the rest of the world with China due to great firewall of China/Chinese internet censorship
    * China Telecom is govt-owned so is largely not subjective to govt red tape and other official or unofficial fees
    * No right of way issue as no one or very few people are permitted to own land there.

    To my limited understanding DITO is a wireless-only telco using 5G/LTE. They do not offer wired services direct to subscribers like fiber internet that is superior in terms of speed & cost to VDSL.

    The alleged plans being floated online come be the product of the following

    * Thought experiment or fantasy of unhappy Globe/PLDT/etc subscribers
    * DITO share holders who want to pump up the stock price so they can unload at a profit
    * A psychological war with PLDT & Globe share holders to induce them to sell at a below market value

    If you want to see cheap fiber internet prices then check out Thailand's AIS telco. https://www.ais.co.th/fibre/en/

    Imagine unlimited 100Mbps for 618.00/month? That's as cheap as a landline.

    Kahit 15Mbps lang yung speed at 599.00/month ok na!
  • since it is DITO related , ill just as kit here

    DITO is interested in renting my vacant lot para lagyan daw nila ng tower / antenna / installation

    just wanted to know if safe po ba para sa mga tao na naninirahan , like wala bang long term or short term effect if malapit ka sa isang tower or meron bang radiation or something , im not sure , since katabi lang talaga ng baha namin yung paglalagyan nila if ever papayag ako sa offer nila sa akin.

    saan ba ako pwede mag consulta about this ?
  • @romulo Towers are 100% safe.

    @All: Dito is preparing for 5G and LTE agad so their towers are strategically placed for maximum efficiency ng signal compared sa other telco na upgrading lang eh for 2G and 3G mas malawak yung coverage compared sa 4G/5G kaya sobrang daming need itayo na new towers and may overlapping.

    Also, 5G/4G ang intro ng Dito at Postpaid plans hindi Fiber and wireless broadband sobrang funny lang na people still believe sa 'pricing' while it happened na sa Telstra noon eh partida call center lang itatayo nila sa pinas noon haha. Wala ngang valid basis yang screenshot na yan I could make one sa excel in an instant tas ipost ko haha.
  • @romulo it's 100% safe. People make excuses as it is an eyesore and allows for better compensation from telco renting the space.

    If I was in your position I'd cash in. Create a passive source of income.

    @Kentaro25 wishful thinking karamihan. Parang day deams tuwing lumalampas ang 1 bilyon ang lotto.

    @All

    Ang laki ng ginagastos ng mga telco sa pagpapapatayo ng 5G tower at fiber network maliban kung PLDT, Globe, Converge o DITO po sila.

    Gusto nila ng mabilis na pagbalik ng mga gastusin nila. Para ito mangyari mukang ipapantay lang nila DITO o ni Convege and mga monthly service fee nina Globe at PLDT.

    Sana pure 5G network ilalalagay ni DITO para todo bilis para sa me pera para sa 5G smartphone and pocket wifi. ;)

    Subalit mukang LTE ilalagay nila muna then 5G sa mga maperang lugar.

  • thanks for the reply

    DITO will be back this week to discuss the details on their offer may presentation daw sila sa akin

    Cheap ang offer nyan. Sa probinsya offer sa lote namin around 25k a month for 20 years. Sabi ko lugi naman kasi multi-million dollar company sila. Sabi ko 125k per month haha. Lumipat sa kapitbahay.
  • @romulo ask DITO if they will offer fiber internet with landline service or purely LTE/5G wireless service lang sila.
