  • Eastern Communications outs new Eastern Home Unlimited broadband plans

    Cheaper rates, faster speeds, and a telephone line included!

    Eastern Communications has recently unveiled its new Eastern Home broadband plans, touting more affordable prices for faster speeds.

    According to our conversations with Eastern, the new plans are backed by a medium fiber/copper connection. They also tout reliable Internet connection with unlimited data, zero throttling, and a 24/7 customer service hotline via email, messenger, or landline. These are said to be great for those who have great demand for access, especially for those in work-from-home setups, online distance learning, video streaming, or online gaming.

    Here are the available plans for the new Eastern Home plans:

    Plan 998 – up to 10 Mbps for PHP 998 /mo
    Plan 1498 – up to 30 Mbps for PHP 1,498 /mo
    Plan 1898 – up to 50 Mbps for PHP 1,898 /mo
    Plan 2498 – up to 80 Mbps for PHP 2,498 /mo
    Plan 2798 – up to 100 Mbps for PHP 2,798 /mo

    Eastern Home plans are said to include a telephone set and a WiFi router, with a 24-month lock-in period. Areas applicable for the new plans are not publicly disclosed, though the company already noted that it’s only available for select places. Eastern Communications recommends applying online via this link to start your application.

  • bakit kaya hindi nalang i-disclose yung "select places" para iwas hassle sa pag-aapply tapos wala naman pala line. data privacy concern pa na mangongolekta ng personal info tapos di naman pala matutuloy application mo.
  • anyone already tried?
  • Buhay pa pala eastern sa residential.
  • Yep. Buhay na buhay pa. More than 10 years na kaming telephone subscriber. Experienced service interruption (no dial tone pero nagri-ring kapag tinawagan ang number namin) thrice, magkaka-ibang taon, sent an email to have it fixed, mabilis naman silang mag respond. Kinabukasan may tech na sila kaagad. Manila nga pala ang area namin.

    Nagko-contemplate tuloy akong magpa-upgrade to Eastern Home. Over 2 months na yung application ko sa PLDT until now panay forwarded lang yung follow-up ko sa concerned unit ng PLDT.
  • fiber po ba to or dsl padin?
  • nagdadalawang isip akong subukan to kasi sabi ng iba meralco raw may hawak neto
  • Service Areas: Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, South Luzon and North Luzon

    Napakabroad ng service areas. Maybe, they are checking the inquiries then kung saan ang mas mataas na inquiry ay doon sila maglalatag

    Fiber na to!

    Baka may member po dyan sa tipidpc na taga eastern.

    Now is the time to promote!

    Thank you.

  • Within lock-in and you want to pre-terminate?

    Consider writing a letter of suspension.

    Suspension means you want the account to stop working for a certain amount of time and restart it at a later date. So the unused portion of your contract is pushed back a few months.

    If you really want to terminate then you will need to write a letter of pre-termination so you will need to settle the unfinished part of your contract and a pre-termination fee.

    If you are done with your contract then write a letter of termination. ISP cannot stop you from doing this unless you have unpaid months.

    Writing any of these letters will require the following

    Date of Letter

    * What type of Letter you are writing and explaing what you want to do
    * Account name
    * Account #
    * Account landline # (when applicable)
    * Account billing address
    * Account install address (when applicable)
    * Account Plan (Monthly Service Fee)
    * Account name's govt ID
    * Account name's signature
    * Account name's authorized rep with govt ID (if you cannot do this personally).
    * Timeline of when the letter's instructions will take effect either at the end of this billing cycle or within 30 days whichever is soonest.

    Options to send this is through

    * Over the counter at the ISP's store or office
    * Email
    * Twitter
    * Facebook
    * Hotline

    When doing over the counter transaction you should request a receiving copy to make sure they dont "lose" your letter.

    Be aware and be polite to the ISP's employees as they are trained and ordered to persuade you not to terminate, pre-terminate or suspend.
  • Up. Baka lang meron ng subscriber sa kanila, post kayo ng review ninyo kung okay sila. Tsaka Fiber internet ba yung offer nila?
  • Also curious about Eastern Home. May reviews ba? Pinag iisipan ko pa kung ito or Converge ang kukunin. I'm in Makati so siguro covered naman ng Eastern.
