Sulit pa rin naman ang LG na premium units kung tutuusin as they are still cheaper than other similarly-equipped units.
Masama daw sa environment kapag meron nun?
Only the ionizers that generate ozone. Yung ion exchanger types are still good.

Any reviews po samsung (windfree) aircon since sa price range na 30k na 1.5hp siya lang mura na may vertical swing at horizontal swing. honest review po?

di ko ginagamit ionizer ng panasonic eh parang nararamdaman ko lumalamya yung lamig or feeling ko lang yun? sino dito laging naka on yung ionizer since nabili yung AC unit?

may panasonic din ako kaya siguro nafefeel mo lumalamya yung lamig ac mo kase ung algorithm ni panasonic pag nahit na target temp hihina na ang lamig nya then pag mainit ulit lalamig ulit even though naka auto fan or manual so iyon lang pansin ko halos 1 year ko na gamit never lumamya lamig pag nabukas ang nanoe X niya.

May nakabili nung nasa old thread pa kami. And if I remember correctly, it was an absolute disaster. It kept pooling water inside when used in wind-free mode and dripped on the floor. Wondering why it's so cheap? That's because the wind-free mode is useless. Midea actually sells a similar unit which they call their "Airstill" unit but is basically just a modded "Ultimate Comfort" unit. But you'll notice that the Midea unit is lots more expensive than the Samsung and the likely reason is that Midea's implementation actually works while Samsung's is a fail..
Worth it ba bumili ng Samsung Wind-Free? Given that you'll just be using it like a regular inverter aircon, you're actually better off getting something else. But if you're getting it so that you have an aircon with 4-way airflow control, then puede na din. Be wary though of their flat pipe aluminum evaporator radiator as it cannot be repaired if it springs a leak.

My Daikin Elite's fan quite noisy now after it was cleaned, pinabalik ko next week to check baka may loose screws or something.
Naayos na din nila R&J si Christian Berano pinadala nila to fix. It took him about 2 hours to fix. The noise was caused by "misplaced" squirrel fan which the previous cleaner pulled out to remove the molds then presumably it wasn't assembled properly. Eto yun generated noise before at its worst was intermittently loud. For reference na din if someone will encounter similar problem with their split type ACs

I'm relieved that nagawa na agad before lumala or may ibang nasira pa. Glad your aircon is back to full health!

^Yes buti naayos pa. Although there's still some motor noise caused by its degradation na daw. Negligible na ito compared to that irritating rattling sound. Huwag lang lalala etong noise coz palit piyesa na daw eto kung sakali.
@statix and everyone na magpapalinis kay R&J,
Christian still is accepting field work daw though I guess yung malapit lang seserbisan sa Cavite branch nila like our place in Paranaque... him, Jayson Suangco, and Jonel Par are the proven good ones from R&J. You just need to request them in advance specially during seasons when servicing demands are high.

34-35 degrees C in the afternoon
27-31 degrees C in the evening
My Midea 1.0 HP is consuming 11.6 KWH per day, set to 25 deg 24/7 operation. That's 483 watts per hour on average.
Can these findings be considered still efficient given the outside temperature?

what do you recommend for power monitoring? I'm considering sonoff pow r2 para sa newly installed na 1.5 hp st tcl aircon.
Sa mga nakagamit ng sonoff pow r2 or similar, kelangan pa ba ng neutral wire? Nagamit ko na before yung Tuya na mini circuit breaker but it's for the whole house na monitoring. For single device lang na aircon I think enough na.

Nabali ko yung isang fin ng squirrel fan ng Daikin ST (sinundot ko ng daliri habang umaandar, do not try haha). Napansin agad nung pinalinis ko sa Ray&J, medyo may ingay daw. Nirecommend palitan but price quoted was 4050 php. I canvassed sa mga authorized service center ni Daikin from their website and found one for just 1200 php (Magic-Aire).
Anyone tried if Ray&J is allowing na sa kanila lang labor for repair?

^probably not since usually may warranty yan parts which should be covered by the dealer who must install it themselves. R&J is strict din when it comes to servicing ni ayaw nga nila maglinis ng aircon na hindi sa kanila binili e. Anyway kontak them na lang to be sure.

it's good to hear they fixed it. anyare kay jayson,,, baka may hangover hehe
iirc your AC is just a month older than mine and now on their 3rd year(May). pero wala pa naman signs(motor noise) of degradation etong saken. but what i noticed here is the gusting wind sound and i have to set my temp lower than the usual to cope up with the heat. that's when i knew it's on due na for cleaning which i thought was just normal.
i'm just waiting for my Amber protec then saka na lang ako magpa sched kay cecil.

considering your AC's capacity is a bit off with your room size? sobrang tipid na yan for a 20hrs operation.
just maintain that temp setting(26°C) while we're still on the spell of summer heat and you're AC will be doing fine.

Me too encountered that issue. I think we had a conversation abt it before. You mentioned to me na baka madumi lang unit but it was only a few months since it was service cleaned. Fast forward to April 25 when Jayson cleaned my unit, lots of biofilms were flushed out then it operated normally na / without the wind gust so I surmise that element build up was really the cause of it. However on startups, the fan's not as powerful as before. Yung fan level 2 ko now is more like the level 0 / silent mode then it takes hours for it to speed up.
Nung pinuntahan ni Christian the other day to fix the indoor fan noise, he mentioned that (gusting wind sound) & fan inefficiency are indicators daw that the unit need pulldown cleaning when I asked what usually necessitates that specialized procedure. Sinilip din daw nya yung unit and there are biofilms remnants that can't be removed by regular cleaning. I have to wait & see if these issues will persist before I decide on the pulldown cleaning with other techs na lang siguro. Masyado mahal kila R&J at P5,500 , nasa 3k lang standard price nito.
Weird thing sa Daikin ko lang ito na experienced plus the fact that I have to follow the 6 to 8 months cleaning schedule else barado na't wala na halos hangin lumalabas. Yun last ko nga was barely 8 months of full usage eh nagleak na indoor unit. Whereas my previous split types never manifested these issues let alone on the early stages of its lifespan / kaka 3 yrs pa lang ng unit ko . There was a time my other STs survived without cleaning for almost 3 years malakas pa din ang hangin. It just shows na hindi basta basta nagbabara STs situated in the same area here.
I have to observe the performance in the next few months. Pero mukhang sakit na yata ng Daikin ito at least based sa experience natin.

^yes, moderate to severe biofilm buildup what causing such airflow issue nga. let me see how Amber Protec works come next week maybe. hinmdi pa ako nakatawag for a schedule.
btw, just look how bad with the biofilm buildup this samsung unit have;

with samsung, probably yes. samsung AC's are known for so much dense with their evaporator fins.
kahit yung mga technicians ni RnJ yun din ang observation nila.

mga sir ok lang ba iride sa existing line ng outlet ang split type? nagamit ko na kasi sa AC yung slots ko at balak ko pa sana pakabit ng isa. Sa taas ng bahay outlet ko sana ipapakabit since halos wala naman kasi sinasaksak dun. Kung meron man siguro cellphone at electric fan lang. Or kelangan talaga pakabit additional line? PLease share your experience
