^Pwde squirrel fan or the ff in my opinion:
1. insufficient spacing of coils
2. protective chemical used against biofilm buildup is ineffective
3. indoor unit design itself that makes it difficult to flush out elements
Recommendation ni R&J is for pulldown cleaning na daw talaga since hindi nila matanggal yun biofilm with normal cleaning lang. Not sure if mine is just "isolated" or ganito talaga design ni Daikin in general. So are there any Daikin users here who managed to use their units tolerably for more than 1yr without cleaning?
^all of the above paps except the squirrel fan unless there's too much dust accumulation na.
there's nothing wrong with the design, once our evap gets clogged,,, the airflow now comes restricted na dapat free flowing coming from the evap. what happens now is kumukuha na ng intake air si squirrel fan doon na rin mismo sa outlet nya. hence nahihilaw na rin ang lamig nya.
how did i know? stick a few strips of tissue paper sa air outlet/louver, 2 on both ends then 1 sa middle then observe the airflow how the strips move/behaves. you'll notice that there are moments that tissue strips are moving towards inside na hindi dapat.
1 & 2 sureball yan.
emphasizing no. 3; pansin ko lang din regardless of brand, masyado maliit yung outlet hole ng drain pan kaya konting biofilm buildup lang barado agad kaya nagkaroon ng flooding.
Try setting it sa 26deg, auto fan, cool mode. Then observe if same lang ang consumption. Validate mo din ang readings with a temp+hygro in both rooms to see if both rooms are indeed cooled by the setup.
I agree with Kompressor na looking at it as 375w per hour would be incorrect and instead ay dapat 190w per room ang lumalabas na consumption. Super tipid yan kung tutuusin!

Nung superbarado na ST ko then 2 weeks pa bago mapuntahan for cleaning ni R&J, I thought of running a vacuum cleaner through the drain pipe. Nagdalawang isip lang ako baka masira VC since I dont have a wet vacuum cleaner. Napanood ko yan (vacuuming drain pipe) sa YT and its effective daw to unclogged then even getting rid of the leaks from the indoor unit. Couple of comments says its works.
I can't find the orig video that I watched but it works something like this:
Kung may wet VC kayo you may want to try as a stop gap measure in case you cant sched regular cleaning anytime soon.
Hello mga ka-tpc, ask ko lang if may idea kayo how much usually ang cost ng repair ng compressor? May rattling noise kasi yung outdoor unit ng AC then mawawala din after siguro mga 30minutes or kapag nareach na siguro yung temp settings. Sabi ng Daikin Tech sira daw compressor. Wala naman cooling issue or anything yun lang talagang rattling noise. Hinihintay ko pa quote nila kung magkano. Under warranty pa yung Compressor Daiking Queen Series 1.5HP Split Type Inverter pala yung unit. Thank you!
If your unit's compressor is under warranty, then the cost will be ZERO. They will likely pull it out, replace the ailing compressor, then put it back at no cost.
Oh and yung infernal heat that you will suffer habang naka-pull out yung condenser unit for repair. Hehehe.
Edit: You might get charged for the refrigerant top-up but dapat kasama na yun sa i-bill nila kay Daikin since warranty job yan.

i've seen such video on YT. yes, pwede rin yan to suck the gunk out of the drain line. i have wet-dry shopvac pero hindi ko pa napurbahan, sinundot ko na lang :P
CW-U1221VPH panasonic 1.5hp.. my sister decided po ito nlng . Ask lng po ako if is it a compact model?
i have doubts na sira nga yung compressor ni technical.
you said parang "rattling" yung noise. check mo muna baka sa chassis lang nag rattle yan.
it happened sharp ST ng sis in-law ko. una pa lang alam ko na sa chassis lang yun every time na nag-ramp up yung comressor. ayun, after nya ipalinis(baklas outdoor unit chassis) nawala na yung noise.

It's slightly lower but same width sa outgoing model. Also shorter so I guess yes you can say na compact model siya especially when compared sa 1.5hp na TCL.
@statix
Di nabanggit kung it was a thorough evaluation noh? But if it was a thorough inspection kung saan binuksan at inorbserbahan, saka lang talaga masasabi na compressor nga ang sira.

Just an update regarding my unit, naperform na iyong cleaning kanina and could confirm na balik na sa normal ang buga/airflow.
1st cleaning - 1 yr and 2 months since nabili ko iyong unit, walang naging performance issue
2nd cleaning (done today) - 9 months from 1st cleaning, humina na ang airflow but is now back to normal after the cleaning
It could be noticed na mas maiksi ang naging interval needed for the 2nd cleaning since meron na performance issue (weak airflow). Will monitor further and hopefully 9 months ulit abutin for the 3rd cleaning.
Would like to get your opinion kung ok lang ba na yung outdoor unit may wall sa tapat. Yung room na katabi nasa 35.5c and yung mismong balcony kung saan nakalagay yung outdoor unit is 37.5c
^take some pictures then post it here.
tho it's just normal to have a couple of degrees difference in temps from one another. and given that your outdoor units resides on the balcony, mas exposed sya sa heat.
Since nung nainstall yung 1.5 hp ac nung first week of may nasa 1k nadagdag sa bill.
Almost everyday running for around 20 hours.
Ngayon parehas na 33.2c yung katabing room and yung balcony.
I think the clearance on the side/grills is sufficient naman to provide enough exhaust for your outdoor unit, thus not detrimental to the AC's performance. Yun nga lang first few minutes even an hour probably mainit dyan sa balcony nyo when the AC is first turned on. Pero kung ako I would've just made it facing outside like this sa old AC (#2) sa house namin.
Kung ganyan yung position tulad sa inyo sir need magfabricate pa ng bracket and the installer was asking an additional 2k for that.
