Daikin D-Smart FTKQ35TVM - 33500
Daikin D-Smart Queen FTKC35TVM - 37000
Panasonic Aero Standard CS-PU12WKQ - 36000
Panasonic Aero Deluxe CS-XPU12WKQ - 40000

^Panasonic not until masira beyond warranty since napaka mahal ng piyesa nyan. So Daikin gives you an edge with their 3yrs pcb warranty and even relatively cheaper aftersales parts and services.
Standard vs. Deluxe naman added features lang yan deluxe like horizontal swing, and Panasonic's proprietary electronic air purifier ata sa deluxe lang nila meron. But in terms of energy efficiency they are practically the same.

^I used to own a Panasonic ST bale 2013 ko nabili then 2019 nasira with damaged pcb 17.2k gagastushin so I ended up buying a brand new Daikin. Mura daw kasi parts ng Daikin so dahil nadala na ako sa Panasonic, I opted for it. Halos pareho lang naman sila yun nga lang parang mabilis magbara ito Daikin / I have to have this cleaned talaga every 6 to 8 months else hindi ko na magamit at barado na. Although @statix seemed to have found a remedy for the clogging using chemical treatment with Amber Pro Tec. My Daikin is unlike yung Panasonic kahit 2yrs na walang linis linis may hangin pa din. Anyway, you may backread our previous posts na lang about this and/or wait for other members point of view.

I'd rather clean nalang siguro myself than to spend 17k pag nasira hahah basa nalang ako kung paano ko alagaan ang daikin unit.
Standard or Queen nalang pagpilian ko kaso lumang model yung queen dito saamin.

In your opinion, what would be an acceptable number of years to say na sulit na yung AC if it's being used 10-12 hours daily?
5 years for me.
@kinsenas
Daikin DSQ gets my vote. But if hindi ka naman maselan and shaded naman ang magiging installation point ng outdoor unit, the standard D-Smart unit will be more than sufficient.
@un0hero
Good to know na nakita din agad ang cause ng flooding ng unit mo. The technicians clearly overlooked that when they cleaned your unit. Hopefully they'll learn from it and not let it happen again in the future. =)

Happy for you naayos yan unit mo. That's commendable kila R&J kapag backjob, hindi na sila naniningil. I suggest that you try sila Jayson, Christian and Jonel in your next cleaning. Subok na namin yan dito.
@kinsenas
Same reco as with @Godai , standard inverter will suffice for your daily needs minus the nice-to-have added features lang naman yan

I might go with queen(FTKC35TVM) nalang para sigurado. mas mahirap magsisi pa ako sa huli.

Hello, I'm a silent reader here for the past months and it's been very helpful for me to convince myself to get an Inverter WT AC.
I have been using MIDEA's U-Shaped AC 1.5HP for 2 months now and so far I am very satisfied with its performance compared to my previous non-inverter AC which is very loud especially when the compressor kicks in.
Using the new AC in my 25 Sqm studio type condo though I know it might seem undersized nowadays but I'm still quite surprised na kaya niyang palamigin agad yung unit ko even on 26c with maintaining power consumption of around 100 Watts once it reached the desired temp.
Setup: Eco Mode On - Cool Mode with Fan at 40% (Low)
Using Crabtek Smartplug to monitor my power usage & consumption.

That's great! Syempre things will be different in the peak of summer but that's still better than still making do with a conventional unit!
Submit your unit's consumption data in the format sa page 01 so we can add it sa list!

Yes, usually nilalaro ko lang sa 25c or 26c depending on my comfort. Mostly 25c and it still has the same maintaining power consumption around 120 watts or less. Time lang na io off ko is pag lilinisin ko na yung air filter.

paano po yun? The data I previously posted was as of yesterday's consumption.
Eto po yung wattage ko sa ngayon while on 25c with same settings:
Eto naman po yung total power consumption starting from August 3, 2022 nung nareceive and ininstall ko yung smartplug around 1pm until now. So far di ko pa ino off since then. Setting: 25c most of the day 26c lang pag madaling araw ng 4am hanggang 1pm Eco + Cool Mode with Low Fan at 40%

Basically, you take the total wattage registered for a set period of time (preferably in hours) then divide that with the number of hours to get the average wattage.
So if your unit say consumed 2,280w (2.28 Kw) in 8 hours of operation, that would give you an average wattage of 285w per hour. Yung 115w kasi na ni-specify mo ay current wattage reading ng power meter mo and not average watts per hour. You would see this sa list ng units natin na a similar 1.5hp Midea U was only consuming 196w per hour in a 12m² space. Almost sure ako na slightly higher than 196w yung sa iyo given na double ng space ang pinapalamig ng unit mo.

Basically, you take the total wattage registered for a set period of time (preferably in hours) then divide that with the number of hours to get the average wattage.
So for August 4 which is a total of 3350w (3.35Kw) consumed with nonstop operation . does that mean the average wattage per hour is 139.5w?
Yung 115w kasi na ni-specify mo ay current wattage reading ng power meter mo and not average watts per hour
I'm sorry I was referring to the wattage that it can consume the lowest when the desired temperature was set. Di ko sinabi na eto yung average pardon me. Akala ko yung data din sa page 1 was the lowest wattage an AC could go when the desired temp is reached so yun ang nilagay ko. hehe
Also, there are other factors siguro why mababa yung consumption, anjan na yung gloomy weather the past few days. Ako lang din naman magisa sa unit ko with other heat loads like my laptop, fridge & TV which I rarely turn on.

Yes.

Yes again. Kapag relatively malamig ang panahon, it won't take a lot of power to keep your place cool lalo if ikaw lang naman ang inhabitant. So ang gagawin mo is to get consumption data for different target temps, operation modes, and weather conditions then from there makikita mo talaga kung ano ang average consumption ng unit mo. Usually ang makukuha mo ay 2 sets - one for summer and one for the rest of the time.
Edit: so I measured yung 1hp Tosot ko that I ran on timer for 7 hours. Ang total power consumed was 1,290w. So ang average consumption would be around 184.28w.

It's been 6 months since I've started using my Daikin Queen ST aircons. No problems encountered so far. Although I'm not using it much recently because of the cold weather.
Since it's been 6 months already, it's time for cleaning. Right underneath the ACs is the TV and other electronics. Would it be worth the trouble removing the stuff underneath it or just let the cleaners use their tarp?
This is what it looks like:
Btw, no problems with the TCL and Union clone 1.5HP WT inverter ACs which are being used every day. My TCL in particular is being used almost 24/7.

remove them, spills and over sprays are prevalent still even with tarps. giving the cleaners more enough space to move around as well. if it's me, tatayo balahibo ko kung nandyan ang mga yan habang naglilinis sila. O_O
awesome gears you have there btw ;)

Not much info from the web din. Your best bet would be to call up your nearest dealer and ask them directly.

You're looking to get yung entry-level units nila. So far ay positive naman ang feedback. They're on par with the TCL units when it comes to build quality even sa price point. Mas maganda sana if you can get the AH-XPxxYHF since they already have wifi connectivity kaso mukhang malaki ang price difference. If you live in Metro Manila I think they're a good choice as parts and service will be readily available. But if you live far from Metro Manila like say in Laoag, Bacolod or CDO, getting parts for these if and when they break could be a challenge.

Thanks, sir @godai
I just talked to a dealer here in pampanga and they don't have much info either. Might just pull the trigger on the FTKC35TVM since they don't have the FTKC35AVA available.
Oh, sorry - quick question na rin po sir @godai - the vacant lot adjacent to our house and literally right next to the wall of my room where the outdoor unit will be installed is always flooded. Will that be a problem or cause an issue later on?
Thank you, kind sir.
