I'l check around the hardware stores and see what they have and the price differences for AWG and PDX and for the AWG 12/2 Royal Cord. I'm in the province so i may go with the sturdies available.
Once again thank you to both of your for your inputs, its really appreciated!

Does anyone here have any experience with the Midea Celest Series inverter? I was originally planning to buy 2 TCL KEI 2.0hp split type inverters but Ray & J's doesn't have TCL units.

A big AVOID from me. Why?
1. Not in the Midea webpage and not even being promoted in the Midea FB pages. Magduda ka na kapag ganyan.
2. Low end Mideas are notorious for slow response to remote control input. Minsan 1.5 seconds bago mag-beep yung unit.
3. Low end Mideas are notorious for poor temperature regulation. Na-experience ko it personally. Awful.
4. Comparing the dimensions of the Midea Celeste vs. the TCL Kei units, mas maliit pa yung sa Midea. Bigger is better lagi.
5. 11.5 ang lumalabas na EER and not 13 as seen in some posts. The TCL Kei are slightly better at 11.6.
Up to you if kakagatin mo. Pero for me, hard pass yan.

Thanks man! Sure na TCL nalang kunin namin. We're also gonna get the TCL TAC-09 1.0hp for another room hehe.

Need your advise mga sir :)
Oversize ba ang 1 HP (UGAIR-9001-INV) for a 9.5 sqm attic (ceiling height is 2.17 m)?
Or pwede na sya since yung attic can get pretty hot on sunny days?
Luma kase yung house and I think walang naka install na insulation sa bubong ng attic :(
TIA!

sakto lang yan. 1hp would be my minimum if i have a 10m² room. tho i have 1.5hp for my 11.x m² bedroom :)
room in the attic? it is highly recommended to have the ceiling insulated kung wala pa.

Yup, balak gawing study room yung attic.
it is highly recommended to have the ceiling insulated kung wala pa.
Yun nga sana gusto ko din gawin, ipapa sabay na lang siguro sa pag gawa ng mga leaks sa kisame :)

yes, para mas madali at maayos ang paglagay ng insulation kung magbaklas ng kisame.

Currently in the market for a 2.5hp Split Type inverter AC for our small-ish living room.
I've read page 1 already but still cannot decide.
What's the best utilitarian, reliable, efficient (EER terms) split type AC out there? Don't care if it's not the cheapest.
Thanks!

Gree GULD50ZD1/A-S (1.5TR)

Gree GTH18D3FI (1.5TR)

These are ceiling mounted units but they can be wall-hung via. Cantilevered bracket. These will kick 2.5hp butt any day.

My brother has that same setup sa bahay nila na ginawang bedroom. (3rd floor attic around 10sqm). Panasonic 1HP split type inverter ang ginamit niya. Naka trap-door setup. For me nakukulangan ako sa 1HP kasi parang antagal lumamig for my standards. Or maybe naspoil lang talaga ako kasi ang setup ko sa rooms ko na below 10sqm lahat (6.5sqm, 7.5sqm and 9sqm) eh puro 1.5HP na WT each (TCL lahat which is OEM ng Union na WT Inverter).

Some updates in the page 01 WT roundup.
1. Finally got to see a
Haier HW-10VCQ32!!!

- doesn't use a pull-out chassis
- similar construction to the newly-released unit from Hisense
- anodized evaporator and condenser means this is good for seaside and riverside houses
- no WIFI
- very compact!
2. Got to see the newly-released
Hisense C1A-F but being sold by Beko as the BPVOW-090.

- doesn't use a pull-out chassis
- looks a lot like the unit from Haier
- anodized evaporator only means this is
NOT good for seaside and riverside houses
- Beko unit has no WIFI. No idea yet if the Hisense-branded unit will have WIFI
- very compact and not as wide as the TCL UJE.

Yung mga walang WIFI na units, as long as may remote controller pwd nyo bilhin Sensibo which will become your WIFI gateway to control your AC.

@maxq
Sorry, 1 AC lang kaya niya per device.
But yung mobile app can monitor multiple sensibo device.
Also, this is in assumption that you have your own WIFI device connected to the internet.
Also, maganda pa dyan is if you accidentally turned ON the unit while leaving the house, you can check in your APP the status of your AC.
If you forgot turned OFF, you can turned OFF the AC remotely via mobile App.
Yung wala lang nya dito is yung sa energy savings monitoring which is what the Sonoff can do.

There are other IOT IR blasters that can do more than Sensibo and are cheaper. Hindi lang AC, kahit ibang appliances basta sakop sa IR blaster range niya, kaya niya kontrolin.

Yup overpriced yung Sensibo. I’m using the Lasco IR blaster from Lazada. 500 pesos lang for the basic IR blaster, 750 for the one with the temp and humidity sensor. In my movie room aside from the AC I can control the TV, projector, AV receiver, LED strip, basically any device that has an IR remote. With the blaster I don’t even use the remote or my phone anymore, I just tell Alexa to turn the AC on

sa mga naka daikin queen st ac oks ba sya in terms of quality for the price? yung room ng mom ko na 15sqm oks na ba ang 1.5hp or dapat 2hp na? ano ang difference nya sa daikin king in terms of effiency and cooling? no need naman sya for wifi option ty

My area is more or less 15sqm using Daikin ST Queen 1.5HP.
It's enough for the room's cooling needs.
My optimal temp settings is 25C, malamig na to even during noon time.
I tried setting it to 26C para at least makatipid sa kurente.
Pero mangamoy asim na kasi pag from 26C and up na temp settings.

117w is very good. Likely it is passively cooling the room in fan mode. Ilan watts when actively cooling?

Yup. Halos 24/7 kasi umaandar ito. Kapag nagstart from power off state naman, nasa 360w ang max wattage tapos bababa after ilan minutes.
Setting ko pala:
Thermostat: 25-26°C
Fan Speed: Manual - 1

Not bad! Running at 50% of rated cooling capacity when actively cooling tapos 117w when passively cooling. Not bad yan. Laking tipid sa kuryente.

salamat sa inputs re: IOT options. good to know may options pa lang ganyan
Pero mangamoy asim na kasi pag from 26C and up na temp settings.
na-observe ko nga 'to, albeit entry level lang sa amin (btw, entry levels from Daikin now are the BVAs, replacing the TVMs around Jul/Aug; dunno what's changed though). ano nga kaya 'to? may workaround ba? isa pa pansin ko, sa mga 1hp namin (again, entry level only) hindi ganito behavior nila at >=26°

The sour smell usually comes when your AC is oversized for your room. But this can change with the seasons. A 1.5hp ST can be oversized for a 15sqm during cold days and end up causing a sour smell at 26deg setting. But on hot days, you'd notice na walang sour smell at 26deg setting. Kasi nga, the longer that your AC is not actively cooling the room (running the compressor), then more time for mold to form on the evaporator fins. And as I had already mentioned in page 01, you control this by reducing your target temp, hence increasing the time that your AC actively cools the room, thus reducing the chances for mold to grow.
You consume a tad more power but only on the cold days. But during summer, your slightly oversized aircon will work a lot more efficiently than your perfectly-sized units.
isa pa pansin ko, sa mga 1hp namin (again, entry level only) hindi ganito behavior nila at >=26°
These units are likely perfectly sized for the space, or yung load nila is just enough to keep them running the compressor enough to prevent mold growth. But if you raise the target temp further (27~28) you'll notice the sour smell na din.
