NVidia GeForce RTX 40 Series & AMD Radeon RX7000 Series (NVidia & AMD News, Updates and Help Desk)

  • imo RTX 4080 12GB is the 4070 renamed, so they have excuse for high price

    Also, nvidia updated their site

  • 4090 - 1599 USD

Magkano kaya sa Pinas if naging available. Sana worth it ung performance increase with the also the power consumption increase vs 3090Ti.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING AND COMMENTING IN MY NEWLY CREATED THREAD TO KEEP THIS MOVING!

I will be posting new news about Intel, AMD and NVidia Graphics cards later. Thank you for supporting this new thread......................
  • HOT NEWS

E.V.G.A, an NVidia only Video Card manufacturer, partner and a big supplier of NVidia Video cards in North America and Europe cut their ties recently last Monday September 19, 2022. The company said they are sick of NVidia's business practice making the tough decision not to partner with them after a good more than two decades of good partnership, 22 years to be exact. Hardcore and Enthusiast gamers was shocked with this news as many of them are E.V.G.A fans who played games loyally with their E.V.G.A video cards.

Slowly over time, the relationship between EVGA and NVIDIA changed from what EVGA considered a true partnership to a customer-seller arrangement where EVGA was no longer consulted on new product announcements and briefings, not featured in events, and not informed of price changes.

The cause of their relationship to be in shambles is NVidia's pricing of their products. It Since the early 2000's until 2020, E.V.G.A knows that the costs of buying materials, salary of their workers and engineers and the price of selling graphics cards became more and more expensive. From single slot AIB going to an over sized 2 to 3 slot graphics card cooler that requires high amount of electricity making some end-users to buy a new power supply.

MSI also felt insulted on NVidia's pricing. It started a few months ago when Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and E.V.G.A was already selling the RTX 3090 Ti at $1,300 to 1,599 then all of a sudden NVIDIA DID A PRICE CUT OF $1,099. These AIB partners will be forced to sell their video cards at a loss. They cannot take back the costs of materials and making their current graphics cards produce because of this LARGE AND SUDDEN PRICE CUT that NVidia recently did! E.V.G.A felt betrayed and had enough of this business practice NVidia was doing since the days of the GTX 10 series. NVidia does not have a clear price of their graphics cards starting when crypto miners used their graphics cards for bit coin and etherium mining! The more the prices of these graphics cards fluctuated when SCALPERS entered the scene when NVidia released the RTX 20 series and it continued until the release of the RTX 30 series. The good partnership and business practice that they are doing good service for their customers was gone. E.V.G.A became sick of this business practice because they are losing more money than making more or having steady gains.

What do you think boys? Will E.V.G.A continue to produce other products like their famous NU AUDIO sound card and other products including their motherboards ooooorrrrr they will become in the future AN A.M.D only graphics card AIB partner?

Do you think the trio Asus, M.S.I and Gigabyte are disgusted by the sudden price cut of NVidia without warning them at least within a month to give them time to adjust their prices?

    Comment on this one boys!
  • 2024 pa upgrade ko so popcorn mode lang muna ako dito. hehe

For me, DLSS3 AI-powered intermediate frame generation is the most interesting announcement. Too bad, it requires the Optical Flow Accelerator hardware and Gen 4 Tensor cores to work so only the 40-series will have it. Let's see if AMD or even Intel can figure out how to copy this feature and make it run on a broader range of hardware. Looking forward to Digital Foundry's take on the new tech.

For the moment, EVGA's CEO made it clear that he want's to get out of the GPU business so don't expect EVGA Radeon or EVGA ARC cards at least in the near future.

Igor's Lab provided some insights from the other AIBs and it seems like they're less affected compared to EVGA because they have already successfully diversified their product lines and their business model is set up with better cost efficiencies compared to EVGA although there is no doubt that the profit margins have been shrinking for board partners these past few gens and a number of AIB's have aired their grievances about Nvidia's unfair mis-handling of the issue. It all boils down to "survival of the fittest".

  • Went over the official spec sheet for the 4090 and the 4080 and found some interesting bits of info:

    1. Still PCIe Gen 4, not Gen 5
    2. New Gen 8 NVENC
    3. Still Gen 5 NVDEC but the new cards can now decode AV1 in hardware
    4. HDMI 2.1 and disappointingly, still DisplayPort 1.4a video outputs. I was hoping they would have DP 2.0 by now.
    5. Stock TBP is 450W for the 4090 and surprisingly, 320W for the 4080 16GB (basically the same as the 3080 instead of the rumored 360-380W stock config), and 285W for the 4080 12GB (aka. what was supposed to be the 4070)
    6. Founder's cards are 3-slot instead of the rumored 4-slot.

  • Mukhang skip ako this gen. I'll wait na din na bumaba yung DDR5 na ram and mag gen 5 na na PCIE.
  • SRP listed on nvidia’s site

    4090 - P112,300
    4080 16GB - 84,200
    4080 12GB - 63,200

Yeah, pass na rin this gen for me.
  • my main concern is the size.. baka mapipilitan ako nito magpalit ng case. the smaller the better sana for me, and im currently using ITX. If 3-4 slot ang 4000 series pano na kami mga SFF users? huhuhu anyway antay nalang but sa msi cards 3+ yung slot ng mga next gen gpus nila as published on their facebook page wala akong nakita na 2 slot. Baka gawin na nila standard 3+ slot next gen gpu with new gen pcie connector. Baka makakabalik ako nito sa m-ATX form factor. Goodbye SFF!!!
  • @PC ComponentsAssembler

Bili ka na para mabuo mo na rig mo hehehe
Parang 3090 lang yung price a few months ago for the 4090.
  • 63K for a glorified 4070.... yeah, skip ako for Ngreedia this gen.

Sana nga lang di pumatol sa pricing ang AMD with their RX 7000 series though I feel like tatapatan nila Nvidia sa prices.... hayz

  • I have a plan to buy the 4090 Ti but if it is A RIDICOULUS "FOUR SLOT" VIDEO CARD I will look away and buy maybe the 4070 Ti or 4080 Ti. First I need to look at an E-ATX Z790 motherboard expecting all PCI-E slots including the M.2 slots are version 5.0!
  • rob1989

Like the RTX 3070 Ti, it has a baby size if not baby size kiddie size released by XFX. I mean you should wait for AIB's to make smaller versions of these cards so you could retain that Small Form Factor Size ITX.

  • 4090 looks like a decent upgrade over the 3090. Only issue I have if early adopting is block availability, since I doubt it'll be easy to get FE from here anyway. Not really keen on getting EKWB again since it's the only component in my loop that had nickel plating issues (the active backplate was fine though).
  • Only the 4090 is still considered reasonable priced since it is $100 more than the 3090. With the 4080 16gb, its price is $500 more than the 3080 while the "4080" 12gb (should be the 4070) is $400 more than than the 3070.
  • Lets completely ignore that new troll and continue to our discussion/topic about graphics cards.
