Steam Deck

  • ^ I have two PC (na naka 3080 and 3090), PS5, Series S and X, Switch V1 and Oled, Vita phat and slim. Gamit na gamit ko naman Steam Deck. Remote play kasi still doesn’t look as good compared to a natively rendered game, and in terms of portability, hindi mo malalaro anywhere na walang internet. Minsan tinatamad rin ako maglaro in front of my monitor or on the couch in my game room. Perfect yung Steam Deck for me. Portable PC gaming talaga, never thought it would be this good kasi nasanay ako sa 4K/120Hz gaming sa LG Oled but I was pleasantly surprised.
  • 6800xt for 25k or steadeck for 33k? I have a switch so im good sa mobile gaming. Currently running 6600xt at 1440p.

  • I take back what I said that the global 30FPS limit is the sweetspot for the Steam Deck.

I followed the recommendation of Digital Foundry na 40FPS limit @ 40Hz refresh rate. Less input lag plus slightly more fluid ang motion.

BTW, the new 3.4 SteamOS update came out a couple of days ago on the stable channel. Hindi naman ako nagka issue. Pwede na i-disable yung global V-sync so lalo pang mababawasan yung input lag at the expense of screen tearing.

I also like the new OSD overlay layout.

Prior to the 3.4 update, and solution ko is to lower the TDP to 6 while downloading. Works great, hindi na marinig fan and parang hindi naman affected download and installation speeds. Try ko compre ngayon yung fan kung at max TDP while downloading.
  • fyi. make sure to remove your micro sd card when removing the back of your deck. mine broke into 2 LOL.

  • RE4 remake demo runs very well on steamdeck. I encountered graphical bugs pero there are fixes you can check and follow online to resolve them.
  • Hello. Mababalik ko ba sa ph region and currency ung account ko if I switched to EU just to purchase Steam Deck? Safe ba to? Obviously gusto ko i-retain sa peso pricing ung games, been like this ever since moving.

Ayos naman ba yung controls - targeting mobs, using skills while managing resources etc?

NOTE: Alam ko na mas madali controls using mouse and keyboard for Diablo-like/rogue-like RPGs, parang ang sarap lang kasi mag grind sa mga ganitong games habang nasa couch o kaya nakahiga
  • ^ alam ko D4 has controller support for PC, kaya no worries if sa steam deck mo lalaruin. not sure sa mga games na M+KB only ang controls.
  • tanong lang, pips:

    1. how's the deck when docked to a hi-res tv? kaya ba nya mag-drive to 4k?
  • ^ thanks! isip ko din vs PC eh no need going after high-end gpu's, lower sunken costs when going to the next gen and the time in between when doing so. certainly valve would make sure new games are playable on the deck. they seem to be doing just that so far and they're not keen on releasing a newer deck in the near future

  • @oo0adonis0oo
