Any suggestion for a good wireless router for multiple devices(30+)

    Problem:
May times kasi na ung ibang devices ay "connected but no internet". Mostly concern ung IP camera no connection madalas need restart ung router.

Ang assumption ko is ung router nung bahay ung problem. For sharing kasi si bahay kaya pati wifi for sharing na rin.

    Current Router: ASUS RT-AC59U V2 AC1500 (AC59U)

    Usual connected devices:
6 EUFY Camera - possible to increase
3 Smart Plug - possible to increase
    3 Mi Box
    1 Smart TV
    1-2 Laptop
    2 Gaming/School Desktop
    5-10 concurrent cellphone users.

Baka kasi masayang kaya tanong-tanong muna ako suggestion dito. (",)
  • I think you may have a defective router, our old ASUS router (which was the costliest before i bought a new one yesterday) had a defective 5Ghz card

Any device connecting there will get no network connected after some time.

Personally in our house we have 3 routers and 3 meshes.

Checking Deco we usually have 21 device connected( 4k TVs, laptops and Phones etc) while Desktops are on LAN

We have several Alexa devices and a Camera and haven't encountered any issues.

The routers we have a Huawei AX3 Quadcore Wifi 6, Deco M5 and Tenda AC21. Just bought a TP link ax72 to replace Tenda and become our Main router since I finally learned how to do Media Streaming from Desktop\NAS to TV

Good experience mo sa TP Link AX72 paps?
  • The problem was ours was new and i have no idea how exactly 2.4 and 5 ghz work during that time. SHould have returned it but as stated, di ko alam how to diagnose those yet at t hat time.

Haven't received it yet, hopefully by tomorrow afternoon or evening. bought on 11.11
  • TP Link AX72

I have been using this for the past 2 months and I have no issues with it. It works flawlessly even with multiple devices connected while streaming videos, downloading large files. etc.
  • ^ do you use the USB?

I cant find any reviews and have been checking its speed

Or if may mas maganda kayong suggestion?

    poor man's Router/AP/Managed Switch...
    decent hardware: CPU 2cores, 4threads, 32 ROM, 512Mb RAM, 5x Gigabit ports, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, 1x USB 3.0

    btw @expert_gamer
lahat yan devices nyo via WiFi connected lahat?

yung mga Camera? via WiFi din? ano settings? like bitrate nya for sending? tingin ko it should have its own wifi.

sa akin/amin kasi, as much as possible Wired sana, specially with TV/Computer that consumes 4k media or more...

but as mentioned by others with new high powered devices, hindi na siguro problema with your devices/setup...

di rin na-mention about your house..., how big? or how devices are scattered/located...
  • @expert

If you are mostly Wifi then just sticking with Meshes are ok(assuming you have decent line of sight for each mesh). If you have rooms that have thick walls then adding a router and putting a LAN cable through it is better for signal strength OR you want some Computers to be Wired
  • @ambad4u

Un ung bilang ko. Worst case di naman sila sabay-sabay connected. But usually endup either one or two ng IP camera disconnected. Most of the time may phone user, mibox, or desktop na bagong connect e "No Internet".

    @Noir
Medyo mahirap kasi isinop pag may wire. (",)
  • May times kasi na ung ibang devices ay "connected but no internet"

Bali connected sila sa router, but the router has no internet.
What about the other device?

Otherwise, maganda nga yung TPLink AX72, Qualcomm yung processor nya.
  • @emilbook

Originally, I would assume baka lang pangit ung EUFY cam.

  • @expergamer

kaya nga po Mesh system pwede na rin since signal strengh and coverage priority without the need for cables (Unless nga you dont have good line of sight )

Yep. Thanks guys sa mga suggestion. Big help talaga. Balitaan ko kayo kung maayos ung issue. (",)

  • my AX72 is now delivered

The Dual core seems to be a huge limiting factor for my use case and my old Huawei Pro with Quad is a bit faster(but has shorter signal strength). The NAS does work but its slower? than AX50 which i have to talk to TP link

Since i made it the main router, overall it can handle all devices and can even reach the farthest part of my house outside as long as there are no thick walls

I am just considering sticking with it though since there are no other routers near this price point for a NAS
  • Salamat guys. Everything is working ok now. All cams connected as expected and di na rin nadidisconnect.

its good enough to use as a NAS with a good SSD or USB. managed to watch 4K with wifi on 2.4Ghz

Sadly i wouldnt recommend multiple users use the drive
  • I think you should consider changing the name of your router as well as your password. Do this at least once a month if you think people are connecting to it without your permission. I did that when I want to play bcgamecasino.io/id/lottery-id/ smoothly
