    1) Yung M40X is a bit more neutral vs sa M50X which is a bit more bassy, pleasing ang signature ng ATH
    2) Build quality ng M40X is top notch
    3) For 4-5k, maganda ang price:performance ng M40X compared to a lot of HPs
    4) Can't say

so i just would like to ask @everyone kung ano mga recommended nyo headphones sa mga budget ranges na 5k at 10k

Kung willing ka to stretch to Php 10K I think mas madaming options. Yung Audio Technica ATH-M50X is a common pick pero I would suggest you try looking at the headphone groups sa Facebook and look for good deals on 2nd hand Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic headphones. Look for Sennheiser HD598 or yung mga nag-order ng Mass Drop specials then binebenta kasi gusto mag-upgrade.

If willing ka mag-order abroad I would look at the Mass Drop options, especially these headphones:

    Sennheiser HD6XX = USD $199.99 (equivalent to HD650)
    Sennheiser HD58X = USD $149.99 (equivalent to HD600)
    AKG K7XX = USD $199.99

Personally I would go for the MassDrop Sennheisers kasi hard to beat in terms of sound quality + comfort + value. For long term listening maganda ang comfort level ng mga Sennheiser circumaural headphones kasi they are light sa head and breathable ang ear pads nila. After a few hours yung feeling na may headphones ka sa ulo tends to "disappear" kasi maganda ang long term comfort nila.

Also they "scale up" in sound quality with better amplification and better audio sources so tingin ko matagal-tagal pa before you will need to upgrade to better sounding headphones.

If you think about it sayang din kasi... the Sennheiser HD650 locally costs Php 22.5K while the HD600 costs Php 19K. Both were flagship headphones during yung time nila and if you can get them from MassDrop at less than half the price, sulit na.

  • Audio technica ATH M40X ok ba for both music and games?

for music and movies, hell yes, but for games: if we're talking about positioning, not so much. Iba parin pag pang gaming talaga na headset. madidistinguish mo talaga saan nanggagaling.

I've tried it before sa CS & L4D2, left and right positioning lang maririnig mo e (footsteps, gunshots, ricochet, etc)

    hth.

  • thanks @sleepygeepy and @fakuryu! kung hassle yun paship, m50x na siguro ako. parang eto ata yun tinatarget ko talaga hindi yun m40x. before i check sa ibang thread about ordering online, baka may pwede quick share lang dito experience nila ordering headphones from massdrop? convenient/affordable enough naman ba yun mga additional fees, if any?
  • @joeyboy_achievement_unlocked

If you want ATH models, go for the even numbers. 40 or 60. Much better for gaming since neutral yung sound signature nya.
  • Btw, im using BGVP DM6. If ever interested ka sa IEM. I've tried m40x, m50x, m60x and dm6. Eto pinaka nagustuhan ko. And hindi bulky and di takaw tingin sa magnanakaw.
  • @joeyboy

Oks naman shipping nila pero haba lang talaga hintay mo, siguro 3-4 weeks from the time they shipped the item kasi mukhang via sea freight tapos dadaan sa local post office (which means you're gonna pick it up from the post office, too)
Regarding fees, yang mga special edition HPs nila fixed yata na 15USD additional shipping fee. Malalaman mong mas malapit sayo yung item kung less than 15USD yung fee, pero hindi mababawasan yung wait time mo.

Hindi ako fan niyang M50X. Masyado ma hiss yung trebles niya. Masakit sa tenga para sakin. I'd put my money on the m40x. Also, try out the Phillips SHP 9500, available na yan locally. 170USD so mga 9k-10k pag dagdag shipping

FiiO E10k sir, or yung bago nilang K3.

  • @matchachloe

sir salamat sa recommendation. icheck ko yan.
  • Best 3000php or below headset? Pang FPS games daw(CSGO/R6/APEX). I suggested my friend na save nalang for a Cloud Alpha(so damn good) pero ayaw.

Suggest ko sa kanya is Cloud Stinger. Is it good too?

    Thanks.
  • SnakeEyes416140

Thank you sa suggestion, about sa konzert, naicompare mo na ba to sa ibang brand like logitech or edifier, priority ko rin po kasi ung bass, baka walang buhay nmn need ko ung parang babasag ng salamin, pagnanonood ng movies or naglalaro ng games.
  • Worth it pa bang bumili ng Bose Companion 5 (USB cable) for Mac OS X High Sierra/Mojave or Windows 10?

Bali-balita raw kasi di na raw compatible sa mga Operating Systems na 'to due to drivers?

    If compatible naman,
Kamusta experience? Lifespan? Durability? Any hidden issues?

I can't speak for the other surround technologies featured in that video but at least with my experience with SBX, it needs to be properly configured on the driver, OS and in the game to get the best results. Linus seems to have tested with out of the box settings. Also, SBX 5.1 on the SBZ is said to be better that SBX 7.1 on the AE5.

Since it has a 30-day free trial from the Windows Store, I tried the Dolby Atmos for Headphones app which topped their charts and it sounds really bad man. Everything is flat, muffled and sounds ngongo. Perhaps it isn't properly implemented in BF1 but I'm sticking with SBX 5.1 until I get my hands on a Super X-Fi.

  • @ViperXtreme

Ok naman mag DAC/AMP for PC and smartphone use. Pero ideally spend more on the headphone / IEM muna, kasi no point din in buying a DAC/AMP kung i-pair mo lang with budget or entry-level headphones.

Pair it with headphones or kahit powered speakers kasi naka-pirmi lang siya sa desk at hindi mo problema ang charging or battery life.

Pero kung gagamitin mo for a hand-held mobile setup, like while commuting or travelling... parang mas ok mag rely on your smartphone nalang. Hassle din kasi yung may extra device na nakakabit sa smartphone then i-manage mo pa yung battery niya ang charging plus the extra wires / interconnects. One use case na maganda ang portable DAC/AMP is kung nagdadala ka ng laptop to school or office at gusto mo yung portable setup for headphones or IEMs. Typically hindi din maganda ang audio outputs ng mga laptops ngayon so bringing a small USB DAC/AMP can be a big improvement.
  • Thats why i mentioned mahina ang sound ng smartphone ko pag rely lang ako doon, (google redmi note 5 weak audio output on 3.5mm jack) meron mga workaround by flashing but i tend not to flash my phones and its just a band aid solution mostly, unless i buy a new phone.
Also mentioned PC para masulit din yung gamit
Im using hyperx cloud alpha btw
  • @ViperXtreme

Well kung that's the case then pair mo nalang yung Redmi Note 5 with a mobile DAC/AMP na USB OTG capable. Ang HyperX Cloud Alpha is very easy to drive so hindi naman kailangan ng malakas na amplifier. Take a look at the FiiO DAC/AMP's tulad ng FiiO K1 and Q1, although mas maganda kung ma-audition mo sila first before buying.
  • Who is using Adobe Audition CC and knows how to use it ?

I might also need help to master my sample.

Sa amping audio chain, parating garbage-in-garbage-out. May local seller nyan at around 6K.

    https://www.radsone.com/earstudio
    https://www.fiio.com/btr3

Kasi yung AI version ay may AptX-HD at LDAC na which is better than the normal SBC codec.

  • @sleepygeepy
    @fakuryu
    thanks for the suggestions
Naka oreo pa lang ako so yeah wala pa updated BT codec, not sure kung kelan darating
Naalala ko tuloy mga BT receiver na para maging wireless yung headphone mo, isa sa mga reason kinuha ko cloud alpha removable cables and mic pwede i customize though me specific cable lang ang papasok sa alpha dahil masyado malalim yung tutusukan

btw just recently nangalikot ako google and me isang method na gumana para lumakas headphone, i changed my phone region from philippines to india and boom sa lakas hinablot ko earphones ko (still on office di ko dala headphone), di ko akalaing gagana siya .
Napaisip tuloy ako kung meron bang international agreement or standards sa mga phones na to kung ano loudness factor sa bawat region.
Also noticed better sound quality, had to disable my old EQ settings and internal headphone effects para mas natural tunog

Budget ko is around 8k. Medyo mahal na kasi yung nakita kong Arctis Pro. Baka meron po kayo masuggest. Thanks!
  • @just3n21

hi mga sir, meron po bang available na gaming headset na may dedicated receiver sa pc and at the same time may bluetooth din po?

Do you mean gaming BT headset na may 3.5mm jack din? Sa budget mo na 8k, why not just get a dedicated gaming headset at separate na headphones? Kasi kung walang at least APTX/APTX-HD/LDAC yung BT HP ay hindi worth it sa 8k asking price :p BTW kailangan mo nag APTX/APTX-HD/LDAC capable devices din, most Android devices na may Android Pie ay may PTX/APTX-HD/LDAC codec na.

bt hp, Edifier W855BT - 5500php, may BT at wired function sya kung ganito hanap mo? Not sure kung mag function sya as a gaming HP, pero pwede ka naman kumuha ng dedicated mic. I don't know any other BT HP that would sound better or good enough for the price.

mic, JV Good Condenser Mic - 470php
  • ^hi sir. Thanks for the info. Im sorry I did not clarify. What I meant was a wireless gaming headset with dedicated receiver with bluetooth function also.
  • ^do you mean dedicated BT receiver?

Yung SteelSeries Arctis 7 may included na USB transmitter. So I think hindi mo na kailangan ng bluetooth transmitter / bluetooth dongle para sa PC. Bluetooth capable ang SteelSeries Arctis 7 so I believe gagana din siya with any Bluetooth source (like your smartphone) at pwede ka makinig ng music wirelessly. Ganun ba yung functionality na hinahanap mo sir?
