got the Edifier R1280T connected sa TV sa bedroom, ramdam agad yung kaibahan compared kung TV speakers lang gamit, sakto lang yung bass nya in a way na di nakakabulabog sa katabing room.

nag sale kasi dito yung R1280T kaya di ko na pinalagpas hehe, baka ilipat ko din as PC speakers pag may pambili na ko soundbar hehe.
oo pre nagulat din ako, parang 2.1 yung tunog kahit walang separate subs. -

i have a SB Audigy 2 ZS, bigla na lang walang sound sa Windows 10 - I have tried drivers from Daniel_K's site and from KX Project pero not working pa din - device is installed, driver seems installed -- but no sound -

yep, did that - and also moved to other slots - ganun pa din..
i'm still sticking to PCI kasi gamit ko na sa ibang expansion cards ung 2 slots ng PCIe ko...
and also Audigy 2 Zs sounds really good compare to my external XFi 5.1 usb.
kaya last option ko is to buy another PCI SB sound card - kahit second hand.
This time try ko XFi na internal (Fatal1ty or Xtreme) - baka kasi hindi na talaga pwde ung Audigy sa win 10....

Na try mo na sa ibang PC? How about patakbuhin ng compatibility mode ng Win 7? How about na mag external DAC ka na gaya ng Topping, FX Audio, Schiit, etc? -

One reason kaya nag move away ako from using Creative SoundBlaster cards is driver support. The hardware is good but mahina ang driver support ng Creative and hindi sila pro-active in fixing bugs or issues. Especially now that we are on Windows 10, it's not likely you will see any official driver updates from Creative.
Kung kailangan mo talaga mag soundcard, my suggestion is try the Asus Xonar cards. I think mas masipag si Asus mag maintain ng long term driver support so no worries with Windows 10. May magandang soundcard din si EVGA (Nu Audio) but hindi yata available locally. Also make sure to move away from PCI cards dahil mahihirapan ka mag motherboard upgrade in the future.
If you are using the soundcard mostly for music listening (stereo speakers or headphones) and not for game sound effects or multi-channel audio, I think mas ok na mag external USB DAC para ma-remove din yung dependency mo on custom drivers / PCI / PCIe slots :-) -

Was able to audition the JBL 104 for the size, it sounded really good but a bit overpriced dito @ 11k, nasa 6.7k lang sya sa Amazon -_-

Happy Thursday! I am not sure if I'm on the best thread, but I would like to ask regarding my 1 year old ACER laptop, corei3 po. Possible po ba na magkaproblem pag laging taas/baba yun monitor po ng laptop? May maiipit po ba na wires or hardwares? Any reco po regarding this prob kasi bigla po nagblank screen ang monitor ko. I am not sure po if it's because of the software update. I think the battery is working fine naman po. Thank you so much. :)

Meron pa repair/enhance services for speaker nowadays? Gusto ko pa kasi ma-extend yung buhay ng Swanz M10 speakers ko, medyo sabog na ksi yung base and gusto ko pa ma-enhance yung over-all sound quality nya. Is there some guru out there still alive and have that kind of skills?

Hindi ko pa narinig ang Bose Companion 2 Series III so hard to say. Pero if I will do a blind purchase and choose between the Bose and Edifier without listening to them beforehand... I will go with the Edifier.
If you have a good set of speakers or headphones, watching this video and listening carefully might help... but of course what you hear in Youtube is not the real thing. Mas maganda talaga if you can audition these speakers in a quiet room so you can get a better idea how they will sound with your setup. -

Thank you. And the Edifier is much cheaper than the Bose. Medyo napaisip lang ako kasi Bose is a known brand sa speakers. But since mas marami features yung edifier. I guess I would go for the Edifier. -

Goods na ba itong as replacement for my Swanz Hivi M10 speaker >> Sembrandt HT3000. Medyo basag na ksi yung SQ nya and wala naman ako mapag ayusan or i-upgrade further yung internal nito to improve the SQ.

Edifier R1280DB Owners, is this speaker worth it for a desktop PC (I have a large table)? 2nd question, if this is going to be used for a TV, is this better than a soundbar? I planning to get the Sembrant one sold by K*mst*re but the R1280DB seems nice kasi :D

1) Yes
2) I already heard both, the R1280DB sounds way better (better SQ, fuller sound, better bass in terms of quality and quantity). Yung Sembrant is nice kung low profile speakers ang hanap mo sa TV but the SQ is just a minor improvement lang sa TV speakers but is much more louder (vs sa TV). -
Bose is overpriced IMO. I came from Bose Companion 20 (higher end than companion II around 16k SRP ) and upgraded 2 years ago to Edifier R2000DB (which is half the price as bose) The difference is so large, its in a different league. Edifier is a very underrated kasi china. I have then moved on to much higher end Hifi Systems (passive setup) pero I will say Edifier speakers are my 1st "hifi" sounding speakers that puches way above its weight. To upgrade from Edifier I had to spend 4-5x as much.
