Sa akin lang ah. If newbie, wag muna mag join sa mga FB group. Magaral muna. Sariling sikap or pwedeng bumili ng Trading Code na libro. Kasi kung newbie ka tapos mag join agad sa FB Group baka ma feed ng wrong information, ma-hype, etc. Ngayon pag alam na ang mga bagay bagay, pag join ng FB group kaya mo ng ma filter kung sino mga nagsasabi ng totoo o kung tama ba ang information na binibigay.

Tanong lang mga sirs. Dito ko na lang itatanong, parang hindi kasi masyado active yung Mutual Funds thread.
Ano ba ok na strategy, cost averaging or yung value averaging para sa UITF?
Let's say, kaya ko mag bitaw ng 20-30k a month tapos around 10 years.
Yung UITF kasi muna plan ko, hindi pa kasi ako sanay pag direct to stocks.

Peso Cost Averaging (PCA) po usually ang ginagawa for long term investment.

damn sayang di nakasakay sa pagcrash ng Nvidia, hehe (10 points down from $110 -> 100). Was out the whole day. At the very least 5x - 10x gain sana (through options) or if you're lucky and bought strike price near $100 (assuming you did it when the actual price is still near $110), pwedeng 20x - 100x gainz.

Cost averaging. Better if you can somehow predict the market movement and time your contribution when it's low (mostly applicable if the UITF is equity or index fund). Or if you already have a significant gain (like in double digits), and you feel that the market will have a correction, you can redeem so you lock the profits already, and then pasok ulit pag nagcorrect or bumababa na yung price. Anyway, if you can spend time studying the market, you have the option to time buying and redeeming UITFs which should maximize your gain.

nag register ako for 7day trial sa COL account... ano lang pwede gawin sa dito? para wala naman kasi ako makita... purely navigation lang talaga? walang trial na pwede ka mag trade?

Share ko lang my first gain.... I have minimal to average knowledge in trading, gave bdo nomura a try.
Jan 27, Registered for bdo nomura and funded (meron na kasi ako bdo online, after a few days naka receive na ng email na pwede na mag login)
Feb 1, Funded 5k petot
Feb 2, Bought 10,000 units of ABA at .395 ** 3,972.80 including fees
After a few days, left an order to sell at .42
Today lang ako nakapag check ulet, nabenta na pala nung Feb 20!!! I now have a realized gain of 183.38 pesoses!!! Woot woot.
**I think I picked ABA from the biggest losers.

Guys tanong lang RE: UITF. currently meron ako BDO balance fund but lately napansin ko meron na rin sila INDEX fund. ideal pa rin ba mag Add ng UITF INDEX fund? long term po goal ko.
may MF equity na rin ako at VUL index fund. Studying pa sa stocks.

Ako naman, I opened my account sa COL 8 months ago with limited knowledge. After 6 months, buying and selling, changing positions, I was down to an equivalent of Php5k paper losses. I was buying regardless of the price, mag peso cost averaging sana ko kaso it wasn't working.
But recently nakabawi na ko kahit papano nung magbago ko ng strategy. Basically, sinusunod ko lang yung nasa technical guide ng COL, and so far it worked ok, -Php500+ na lang and looking into making my first gains in the coming months...
Gusto ko pa matuto further, thankful lang ako at hindi naman naging disaster yung portfolio ko.

OT (but still about stocks): Crazy AMD week. From low 13s to 15.5 Monday, and then drops to 12.8 opening Friday and currently hovering between 13 - 13.5. In any case just another good example of 'sell the news' since this is the week AMD's new procie was released. Good thing was also able sell early and also capitalized the 'big' pullback (buying some options PUT)

all blue chips kaya pwedeng equal, pero para ma maximize mo ung profits mo heto ang hint:
ung pinaka mababa at malapit na mag cross sa MACD, dun ka bumili ng bulk or ung pinaka malaki na part sa balance mo
