  ^ reinstall mo yung wine sir or do a clean install ng wine. tsaka pde mo nmn gamitin libre office ng ubuntu for office

  maarte kasi yung mga empleyado dito sa amin, gusto nila nang MSOffice lalo na yung sa accounting dept namin na naka rely sa features ng Excel.
  
  may isa pa akong tanong, sinusubukan ko kasing mag install ng printer, pero yung printer ( dot matrix ) eh naka share from a windows flatform
  kaso dko makuha kuha. noob lang :)

  ^ add mo printer using the printer applet from system settings from system tools sub menu
  or
  sudo system-config-printer then search mo yung printer from the network. kung hindi mo makita i join mo yung linux pc sa workgroup kung saan andun din yung windows pc na nag share ng printer

  mga sr baka meron po makatulog meron po ko Samba server which is centOS base 5.5 po yata ang publema ko parang every week na lang kailangan ko mag chmod
  
  777 -R * para makapag delete or makapag save sila ng file sa mga shared folder lagi ito ng yayari baka meron pong makatulog. bigla na lang hindi nanaman sila
  
  makapag delete or makapag lagay ng files pero after ko mag chmod okey nanaman papanu kaya gawin permanente ito

  tanong ko lang pano ma-ensure or ano dapat gawin pag ganito: "workstations automatically time-out after 5 minutes of inactivity, requiring the active user to reauthenticate."

  sino mga naka gamit na dito ng clearOS??
  at familiar at naka try ng flexshare (file sharing)
  medyo iba kasi sa samba eh
  
  possible ba na i restrict ang sub folders na nasa loob ng main folder??

  clearOS is just another derivative of CentOS, flexshare is their custom utility to share everything, if you share it under flexshare it will be shared to samba/ftp/http, you can still configure samba as is (it will break flexshare though)

  may alam ba kayo na linux os or app that will run as NVR (network video recorder)? Most of the NVRs run Linux, and gusto ko lang mag DIY...

  i what to try to watch netflix at hooq sa firefox or chromium. need mag-install ng ms silverlight. any one knew to install it on xubuntu?

  the official google-chrome build supports netflix, better install that, instead of using chromium

  ^chromium is google-chrome in linux OS.

  ^ chromium is the opensource build which is built using the source code provided by google in which proprietary code is removed.
  google-chrome is the proprietary build by google which includes proprietary stuff like pdf reader and DRM (which is needed by netflix and a few streaming site)

  you can identify between the two by the icon, the chromium one has a blue icon, and the google-chrome has the colorful google icon

  pasali dito. after messing with Win10 for 2 days on my lappy, nagreformat ako then install linux. tried fedora24, debian stable, debian testing, and now im trying debian sid.
  
  hopefully debian sid ang huling bagsak ko. based on testing, mabagal yung fedora and resource hog.
