iba ang line ng fiber sa dsl; parang kasing nipis lang ng sinulid yun sa fiber line, so iba din ang magiging dsl line number. just the same, the modem needed is also different.

They can re-assign the number sa fiber.
There are a handful of cases here sa thread.
The latest would be romulo.

DSL to Fiber, kahit pala migration may Installation at modem fee parin. accdng sa CSR ng fiber.
and migration ba need para maretain yung DSL Tel Number?

Yup. On going na migration ko to Fibr and mareretain yung old landline number ko.
regarding sa installation fee and modem fee.. meron talaga..
but ginawa ko nalang installment for 36months. So on top of the bill meron plus 119 pesos dagdag.

may job order na ako for fiber, tatawagan na lng daw ulit ako ng PLDT kung may account number na or sched for installation.
Sana makalusot application ko. yung comshop samin siguro 5 house away lang samin naka business fiber plan sila. baka dun ako ikukuha ng port kung maaaproved application ko.

i dont get it, sorry paclarify, ung pldt dsl na 3mbps 1299 hindi pa included ung phone? so ++ pa un? kapag pldt fibr 1699 or dsl kasama na phone sa bill?

our phone rarely rang, everyone has their own phone line,
sayang ang bayad sa landline just to have PLDT Fibr, dapat extra or free na ang landline kasi it use VoIP na,
any suggestion or what you did in same situation like mine?

pldt last month implemented a solution, although not the solution you wanted. good news, for Fibr 999 and dsl 999 they made the landline free. Bad news, they increased the price to 1699

Mawawalan ka ng net mga approximately 5mins.
Pati lahat ng settings na iniba mo sa modem mawawala.
Reset button == Factory Reset
Reset button hindi sya pang restart ng modem.
So, kung purpose mo ma "refresh" lang connection mo or restart unplug mo lang sa kuryente modem mo ng 30 seconds oks na.

usually gaano katagal ang upgrade from dsl to fibr, pag may subscription certificate ba na binigay meaning na approved at may slot for fibr?

Yes kaya since theoretical na kaya ng ADSL is 20mbps. Best Effort ang magiging traffic ni Internet since naka High Priority si Cignal sa DSL. 1 HD stream = 5mbit while 1 SD can be 2-3mbit. Kaya recommended nila pag DSL is 1 Digibox. Yung additional digibox through dish.
Pag di kaya ng line after I-survey ni PLDT yung location mo they'll provide you the Dish instead of it running through DSL.
So downside sa ADSL pag madumi yung line ang maapektuhan is yung Internet mo bago si TV stream kasi reserved yung 5mbit for TV.

mas ok pala kung isama sa promo is ung cignal dish kesa ung mag run thru dsl? same lng naman din pala ung babayaran.
kung 3 mbps lng ang iavail with cignal plan macompromise talaga ung net speed

My 3mbps dsl connection has been like this since march 6..
Di maayos ng tech yung issue..
Walang pumupunta na PLDT tech. Contractor lang dumating for voice to fix the noise on the line.
Anong nangyare sa PLDT?
I applied for Fibr wala naman facility sa area.
nag apply nalang ako online sa globe for my dsl connection.
In less than 3 days kinabitan na ako agad ng DSL @ 10mbps.

papa terminate ko na to.. as per checking with them pwede ko na terminate without a fee. been a PLDT DSL subscriber for more than 10 years.. And ito pinaka worst experience naranasan ko.. :(walang tech pumupunta.. nasa logs sa notes ng ticket ko tinawagan daw nila kami and confirmed that DSL was working and they closed the ticket wala naman tumawag. Kakaiba mga PLDT tech sa area namin.
called billing for a rebate sa service not working from march 6 to march 25. After a week I checked my bill 100 lang binawas. I asked na bakit 100 lang binawas.. It's because march 6 and march 25 lang nilagay nila na walang service. :(

kami since dial up days PLDT na pinacut namin no sepanx.. lipat kami globe kung maglalagay sila ng fiber ewan ko nalng ang reason kasi namin lack of fiber facilities kaya pinacut, paunahan nalng sila ni Globe... below average kasi speed ng PLDT dsl sub par sa International standards... tska 36 months holding or lock in nila way too long!

naka usap ko nga PLDT tech na kilala ko.. siya lagi pumupunta sa bahay ko to fix my dsl dati minsan response time niya is 1 to 2 days lang dadating agad.
kung di siya dadating ibang PLDT tech ang pupunta.
then last january 2017 nag taka ako na walang nag rerespond na sa ticket ko.. yung tinawagan ko siya sabi sa akin na lahat ng PLDT internet and voice issue napunta na lahat sa subcontractor nila kaya wala daw sa ayos. yung team daw nila nailipat na sa PLDT Business.
yung subcontractor na pumunta sa bahay ko last march 25 sabi niya sa akin ang rami niyang tickets na kelangan ayusin and siya lang mag isa kaya na de-delay ng talaga.
So hindi ko na alam yung kalagayan ng PLDT sa area namin. I'm glad na nag swtich na ako.

Well yung Quality ni Cignal pag through DSL/Fiber is consistent kahit umuulan or bumabagyo(unless tinamaan ng bagyo ung mga cabinet or poste at naapektuhan yung Phone and Internet) parang naka SkyCable ka compared to dish install. And of course priority nila with Cignal is to use their equipment. Pag dish na provision I think cost na sa kanila yun(PLDT) kahit hawak ni MVP both companies.
Pag 3mbps plan ka or 1mbps di naman macocompromise yung internet speed mo unless di kaya talaga ng line. May sariling bandwidth si TV na reserved para di mainterrupt.
Example 3mbps ka. Sa modem profile usually 3500-ish kbps ung downstream(Not speedtest speed). With Cignal through DSL your downstream will show as 9600 upto 24350 kbps. So kumbaga 3mbps for internet + 5-6mbps reserved for TV bandwidth + overheads.
Eh kung ang kaya ng line or port mo is hanggang 3600-6000 lang they'll provide you the dish.
Worst Case scenario nalang na maganda yung line quality na- deteriorate over time dun mo mararamdam yung slow internet pati TV nag buffer na rin lol.

I've had a bad experience dun sa ultera plan ko so I switched to plan 999 5mbps dsl and I've had it for 3 months now okay naman po. stable yung speeds and wala pong data cap but it comes mandatorily bundled with a telephone so that's another 600 pesos on top of the 999 bill. You might want to do some correction since PLDT changed their Plan naming scheme with landline fee inclusive so their Old Plan 999(5mbps) is now DSL 1699 and their current DSL 999 is 1mbps(former Plan 990). Just to avoid further confusion.
And sadly regarding your upload conclusion it is a fact that ADSL2 has limited upstream of 1mbps(No matter what speed tier). But if you were on their Fibr plan it'll be a different story.

yes unless pldt uses annex m which i only saw one or two cases here hindi mo makukuha yung 2mbps upload sa adsl pldt or not so technically impossible with their implementation.
and if you play battlefield 1 panget ang routing nila unplayable.
pede naman nila ayusin as per our experience sa bf1 thread pero di ko alam kung bakit binabalik nila sa panget na routing.
