  • ^

    Bago malimutan, anung speed (download AND upload) nakukuha mo dati?

    Check mo muna ung mga nasa baba :

    - either VDSL (kung mas mataas pa sa 3mbps ung upload speed mo, matic na yan) or fiber (as in ndi telephone wire ung papunta sa modem, parang square ung saksakan nya) yan
    - Using lan cable (Cat5 or higher) instead of wifi to speedtest
    - walang ibang gumagamit (as in wala. Patay wifi muna)
    - either sa speedtest.com (PLDT server na pinakamalapit) , fast.com (matic na yan) , or via DDL test (either sa google drive or sa microsoft download mo ung windows 10 iso direcho dun) since lahat yan cgurado sasagarin ung connection mo

    Then try mo ulet mag speedtest.net (check mo ung download chaka upload)

    VDSL2 can support upto 100mbps down and 50mbps up on 17A profile. :)

Bought a TP-Link modem and a TP-Link wireless router that works fine (naayos ko config, thankfully).

Or mali ba iniisip ko? :(
  • @requiem
15 or 20 Mbps?
  • @Kevin
    DSL 1699 15 if Fiber 20
  • PLDT DSL plan 1699 15mbps hindi man lng makaabot ng 15mbps basura pa upload speeds

  • Within lock-in and you want to pre-terminate?

    Consider writing a letter of suspension.

    Suspension means you want the account to stop working for a certain amount of time and restart it at a later date. So the unused portion of your contract is pushed back a few months.

    If you really want to terminate then you will need to write a letter of pre-termination so you will need to settle the unfinished part of your contract and a pre-termination fee.

    If you are done with your contract then write a letter of termination. ISP cannot stop you from doing this unless you have unpaid months.

    Writing any of these letters will require the following

    Date of Letter

    * What type of Letter you are writing and explaing what you want to do
    * Account name
    * Account #
    * Account landline # (when applicable)
    * Account billing address
    * Account install address (when applicable)
    * Account Plan (Monthly Service Fee)
    * Account name's govt ID
    * Account name's signature
    * Account name's authorized rep with govt ID (if you cannot do this personally).
    * Timeline of when the letter's instructions will take effect either at the end of this billing cycle or within 30 days whichever is soonest.

    Options to send this is through

    * Over the counter at the ISP's store or office
    * Email
    * Twitter
    * Facebook
    * Hotline

    When doing over the counter transaction you should request a receiving copy to make sure they dont "lose" your letter.

    PLDT Store can help process Sun Store or Smart Store in case their sister branches are closed due to COVID-19. Emphasize to the Store that their sister companies are closed and you need to process this today.

    Be aware and be polite to the ISP's employees as they are trained and ordered to persuade you not to terminate, pre-terminate or suspend.

    I have the Plan999 (1690.74 monthly bill) for the longest time, almost 20yrs na..

    Then nakita ko sa site ng PLDT, Plan 1699 DSL 15Mbps dapat, so tinawag ko ung 5Mbps ko para gawing 1699 ung monthly bill then got my connection up to 15Mbps down/ 1Mbps up

    Then, randomly browsing the PLDT site, wala na ung DSL plans, phased out na. So, for me, it meant puro 'Fibr' na ung line and confident na ung PLDT to offer faster internet, and kung hindi man pure Fiber, VDSL2 yung ibibigay nila (very close to pure fiber-optic line speeds)..

    So, called them up, tinanong ko ano ung profile ng line namin, VDSL daw.. eh wala akong VDSL modem, ung modem namin yung almost 20yrs old pa na ADSL2+ lang, then naka lineup daw kami for modem replacement...

    Got me thinking, if VDSL ung line, tas ADLS2+ lang ung modem ko, I need the new modem.. I still get ADSL2+ speeds.

    Called PLDT again (171, option 4, then pa-route na lang kayo sa support), asked them to reconfigure my connection to 'Fibr' speeds since sa Fibr plans pag existing customer ka na at galing kang DSL, 25Mbps download ka dapat.. So, for about 1hr, I was on the line with the CSR, may tinawagan sya sa isa pang line for reconfig. Then, after about 2 router reboots (all while still on the phone with the CSR/TSR), I finally got a VDSL2 connection with 25M download / 20M upload!

    So, for everyone na naka 15M down/ 1M up, kulitin nyo na.. lugi na sa 1699 na bill kung hindi pa kayo fiber speeds. :)

    PS: don't pm me for details, nilagay ko na po sa thread response na 'to. :) if PLDT can't give you a new modem (VDSL2) fast (and you can't wait), find one yourself, and ask them to reconfig. :) naka 4 attempts ako sa pagtawag on the same day, yung 4th CSR/TSR yung talagang naka resolve. yung first 3, tamad lahat, not very helpful.. nyahahaa..
  • ^So far ano na dl and ul speeds mo sir? Pashare naman ng sample speedtest result after upgrade

  • Medyo mataas ba ung noise margin for VDSL connection?

  • Sir/Maam may I ask if paano ko malalaman if nakaVDSL na ung PLDT ko? My plan is PLDT Telpad 2099. Around 12 to 15 Mbps
    (ping <20ms) ung ung nacacapture ng speedtest.

    Baudtec
    Model - RN243R4-2T2R-A6

    Maraming Salamat po

  • Good evening everyone,

    I hope you are all well and good!

Hindi po kami maka tawag dahil wala pong dial tone yung phone and no Internet connection for a month na. Ayaw rin po namin lumabas and mag visit ng branch due to health concerns.

    I am willing to pay the pre-termination fee kaysa magsayang lang po ako ng oras speaking to multiple reps pero hindi naman po maresolve resolve ang issue.

    Maraming salamat po sa tutulong!

    you can use smart mobile phone to call 171 then may billing option dun. free naman.

    same, been on the xperience 999 plan ever since we had dsl (below 1m pa ata nun lol). i didn't call them for any of the update request pero they decommissioned their support email so sa twitter ako nangungulit at nambuburaot sa kanila. then before new year may tawag daw ng tawag na taga pldt re a modem replacement. nagtaka ako kasi ayaw nga nila palitan yung nasirang alcatel na modem (not even a modem-raouter) tapos bibigyan nila ako ng bago. so new years daw nasaktuhan nila ako sa bahay since wala akong shift, ayun nag install sila ng vdsl modem then tinawag na update yung profile to 15mbps/15mbps

    now low key ako nangungulit to get the 20/25mbps na advertised kasi technically wala na dsl plans so we should get the same. bwiset lang kasi sila sa mga palusot nila na pang new subs lang mga updated speed nila, need talaga magmakaawa ng mga legacy subs para i-correct mga speed profile natin
  • To my fellow legalcy plan 999 subscribers, I recommend you to call 171 and upgrade to Home Fibr Plan 1699. If you already have the Prolink VDSL modem the migration will be quick and easy. Just don't forget to mention you're already on VDSL with the new modem. If not, it will take a while since you'll have to wait for the free modem to arrive. There's no installation fee and no new lock in period.

    Had to share this because I tried requesting for a speed reconfiguration after seeing the new speed plans, but was told we were only limited to 20 mbps because we were still on the old Fam Plan 999.
  • @ljcool_17 -- PM sent sir.
