  • hi good morning guys, sir pede po ba attend din ko seminar kahit zero knowledge pa ko about sa radio?
    i do have portable at the moment, but im planning to build a ham radio to my house which i will for a VHF frequency po,

    thank you po sa sasagot,
  • Good morning guys! May tanong lang ako. I'm not a licensed radio user. But I bought a portable/handheld radio na dual band. Ang main purpose ng radios are for emergencies, and short distance communications. One radio is at home and i bring the other one. Ang question ko is pwede ba ako sumingit sa stations wherein yung mga andun are licenssed users? My reasons are: To meet some radio users whom i can contact in cases of emergencies, disaster or calamity wherein our cellphones maybe useless or has no signal at all. I am not an experienced radio user. Though I have used it before nung asa transport yung line ng work ko but that was ages ago.

    Your feedback would be appreciated... Thanks

    yes, the best if you can, first, attend an orientation seminar at PARA (phil amateur radio assn) before starting to operate an amateur radio station.

  • @benjprad

    Will check that out sir. Thanks
Okey din kaya yung binebenta dun like Baofeng uv5r ? TIA.
  • im using baofeng. registered until dec 2017 only.
  • Hi sir civic_racer! good to know about licensed baofeng radio. I am planning to buy cheap baofeng bf-888s from l4z4d4 for office use. 4 separate offices kasi ang department namin. Though we have locals assigned to each employee, mas effective pa rin kung may walkie talkie lalo na kung busy lahat. We tried wireless intercoms but it didn't work. may problema yata sa power source kasi may multiple power lines ang offices namin.

    I'm aware that bf-888s frequencies are beyond the license-free frequency of our country which is 325MHz only kaya nagdalawang-isip ako sa pagbili ng baofengs'. I consulted a licensed radio technicians regarding application of licenses for the walkie talkies at sa amin na ring mga users.

    Questions:
    1. Kailangan ko pa ba talagang mag-apply for licenses even if gagamitin lang namin tong parang intercom sa office?
  • @JhayRP
    1. You need to have a license talaga kahit saan mo gamitin yung radio either sa loob or labas.. advise you to get one. pwede yung idea mo. pero pag may nagsumbong sayo. yari parin..

    try to ask ntc sir. maayos naman sila kausap pag nagtatanong. or depende sa tao.
  • Thank you sir Civic_Racer.

    Pag-isipan ko muna ng maigi ang benefits over hirap sa pagkuha ng license. Sana may magbibenta na affordable na 325MHz walkie talkies para iwas sa abala sa licensing na to. Kung ako lang, okay lang sana... pero kung buong office pag-seminarin, mahirap-hirap i-decision yan. 325MHz halos malapit na sa frequency ng remote ng kotse which is 315MHz. Ang cignus freetalk 325MHz OA naman sa taas ng presyo P4500 ang 1 unit! talo pa ang motorola talkabout walkie talkies.

    btw, thank you ulit sa sagot sir.

    Karamihan siguro dito ay members ng PARA at may pagkakataon kayong nakakausap o magkakaroon ng forum with the NTC, sana madiscuss nyo na SANA ITAAS SA ANG LICENSE-FREE FREQUENCY TO 400-470MHz dahil ang mga bansa na pinanggagalingan ng mga walkie talkies ay nasa ganong range ang license free, like:
    USA = 467MHz FRS
    Europe = 446MHz also known as PMR446
    China = 409MHz
    South Korea = 448 - 449MHz
    Singapore = 446MHz
    Taiwan = 467MHz

    Sana nga lang may magsulong nito para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan. hehehe.... I believe na ang license-free radios ay malaking maitutulong sa pagtugon ng mga sakuna at lahat ng klaseng emergencies. Kahit elementary students, mga boy scouts ay may karapatang gumamit ng walkie talkies.
  • @jhayrp
    malabong maging free yung 400-470 kasi madaming gumagamit niyang licensed.. uhf vhf etc..
    baka hindi macontrol magsapawan nalang.
  • @Civic_Racer

Bale, family radio lang talaga in case of emergency.

GB and TY.

    <click here for link>
  • Hi, new to this read. Last year I bought Baofeng UV-6R for my Dad as a gift and nabuhay na naman interest ko. Now I have a few more. Wag nyo ako sumbong sa NTC ha. Hehe. I am also into that RTL-SDR thing, quite interesting tech. Anyway, will see if mabuhay ang thread na ito. Was planning to attend sana the March 10 PARA Seminar but naubos ang slot so will be going na lang sa April 14 then will take the exam na after that. Pwede ba class B agad apply? I've been reading na on reviewer and I have a fair amount of knowledge in electronics concept.
  • kirby1121

    Ganun kasi kami C muna B then yung iba nagpursue sa A
    Tinamad nako mag aral ng morse code. walang oras
  • Buhayin ko lang po yung thread, plano po naming school officers na bumili ng radio na pwede namin i connect yung frequency sa brgy and command center. Any recommendation po sa dual band radio na pwde namin mabili? at saan po pwede makabili nito. Salamat.

  • looking for cb radio. baka meron pa kayo dyan.
  • magkano kumuha ng permit/license?
  • @thevoid, check out https://para.org.ph for info. You'll probably spend around P1,000 (excluding gas/fare and food) to get your seminar, exam, and license processed.
  • Tanong lang po, ano ang mga bagay i-consider before buying a vhf radio (baofeng, etc.)?
  • kamusta naman dito :)
  • Long time di naka visit ditoo...
  • DU1LFR checking in.

    ala na paso na license ko.
