sa fibr may extension akong wifi router
pag nasa around 6 or 7 users na connected, di na maka browse ng maayos. (worst is 0.19 mb/s at 1.7mb/s DL at UL pag medyo ok bit still too slow)
pero pag tinignan ko speed sa wifi ni pldt,
40+ mb/s ang 2.4ghz, 110mb/s ang 5ghz at 160mb/s sa Lan cable gamit laptop.
mobile games lang nmn mga bata
at 480p youtube gamit vanced.
adults nmn shopee lang at basa posts sa fb
nsa 3rd palit na ko ng router,
same na same ang nangyari sa lahat.
sinubukan ko na gawin access point at repeater mode
pero ganun parin.
pati 20mhz, 40mhz at auto ni try ko rin.
add ako info
pag kakarestart lang ng router, nasa 40mb/s
pero after 30mins / 1 or 2 hrs balik problema. need to restart ulit.
current router is linksys e1200
naka repeater mode.

Good day mga sirs,
any recommendations for router na pwede ko gawin main router for small home use lang,
need ko kasi mas malawak yung signal na maka abot sa room ng parents ko, tried using a extender sa room nila, palagi nawawala ang connection.
budget is around 2k, kahit di na wifi6 kasi PC ko lang naman meron wifi6 sa bahay, also just using PLDT plan 1299+ speed boost connection, thanks mga sirs

try mo AP.
Latag ka ng LAN cable from pldt ONU to the location then kabit a branded wifi router in AP mode.

I usually recommend TL-R605 for most people but that router has a ton of issues, and cant really support more than 300mbit NAT in load balancing and failover functionality works great until you want to go back to primary connection once the connection restored since thats not going to happen on its own (yeah its kinda dumb) there's a fix for it but you have to enable loadbalancing features to get failover to function properly and if your have your primary internet connection faster than 300mbps bad news, youll only get 300mbps (sometimes slower), you can only get the full 1gbit connection if the router dont use multiwan functionality
mikrotik also had this janky script you can use but I dont recommend it specially for PPPoE connections. the script is too janky that you might as well just use openwrt firmware on it and use mwan3 to get some of this setup much easier and all can be done on web gui.
so in this case I recommend going with pfsense/opnsense for multiwan, you can also use openwrt compatible router and install mwan3 package to get multiwan support.
if your main concern is power consumption for pfsense/opnsense, you can actually buy a HP T602 plus on shopee/lazada (add a dual port intel nic on it) and that setup basically consumes around 7-12watts depending on the load (7watts if its doing nothing, 12watts if its doing NAT at full 1gbit).

mga paps bumili ako ng tp link ax55 ax3000 na router paano ko siya connect sa converge? plug and play lang ba or may need pa ko kalikutin sa router modem ng converge like bridge mode. btw I am using zte 670L plan ko is 1500

i am trying to bridge mode a HUAWEI HG8145V5 router to an ASUS AX55 router using PPPOE,
Sa ONU part ok naman gumagana when i use ethernet cable to a pc and making a PPPOE dialer. Pero pag sa ASUS router ko kinabit yung cable it says connected getting an IP address 10.XXX.XXX.XXX pero no browse(internet).
ano ba mali sa ginagawa ko? i think sa asus router ang problema? did a factory reset na ganon pa din.

@frequenzy yes i can connect and i am getting an ip from the ONU. yun lang when i try to use the internet nag eerror siya na wala daw ako internet.

na set ko naman vlan. pag gamit ko pc dialup using pppoe nagcoconnect at may internet. yung router pppoe nag coconnect and i get an ip kaso no browse.

I225-V or I226-V ba yung onboard 2.5G nic? May intermittent disconnection flaw sila. May updated driver na may work around sa issue na yun.

meron po bang mga mikrotik users dito? may tanong lang ako regarding sa fq-codel.
normal speed ko kasi 600mbps, pag nag enable ako ng fq-codel, nagiging 400mbps lang siya kahit wala naman akong bandwidth limit na nilalagay. Bakit kaya nagiging ganyan siya?

normal lang na kapag nag enable qos is baba ang throughput mainly because sa cpu limitation ng routers. halos lahat kasi ng qos tech relies on the cpu and the router just doesn’t have the needed processing power

di naman siya umaabot sa 100% usage ng cpu pag nag speedtest ako. nasa 40%-60% lang. mikrotik hap ac2 pala router ko.

once you turn on qos kasi, nadidisable yung hw-acceleration. that mikrotik only has 700Mhz quad core cpu. if you really need qos above 400-500Mbps, then you need to look at intel based router setup.

Meron ba ma-recommend na "managed switch" na mai sfp+ port uplink under 10k?
Mga Mikrotik lang nakikita kong "decent" for its price...

maganda lang sa huawei yung mesh system nila, kung gumagamit kayo ng Huawei ONT (tested it with HG8145v5) there a option to manage external APs there (available on Globe ONT firmware, cant say with other ISP), you can add any Huawei routers there and be part of wifi mesh in a single click.
