  share ko lang, using the 14k Panasonic 7.6 cuft single door inverter ref with an ad that says 5-6 php per day. my setting is at the lowest with nothing inside. it is the only thing turned on in the condo and meralco prepaid is saying consumption is 10 php per day. when i unplug the ref the consumption is zero. so not as advertised siya haha

  Wait you have me confused. Consumption should be in wattage (or KwH) and not peso. Ilan ang lumalabas na power consumption (not electricity cost)? Also, if meron kang ibang devices na naka-off but are plugged in and naka-standby ay may consumption pa rin ang mga yun.
  
  Also, dun sa prepaid electricity program ng Meralco, magkano ang minimum charge? Kasi almost all utilities have a minimum charge even when consumption is at zero. So I expect na sa prepaid, though possible na zero ang babayaran kapag zero ang consumption, usually ay may minimum charge pa rin na rate for consumption.

  We finally replaced yung aming 7.8 cubic ft. na Condura manual frost ref.. Ang pumalit? 9cubic ft. na Panasonic manual frost ref. Still using it with my trusty Tronix Ref Clock Saver.. And the good thing? Even with the bigger ref, mas mababa pa yung consumption kaysa sa dati since the new ref has good sealing and a more efficient compressor.
  
  Why didn't we get an inverter? Simple - persistent pa rin yung feedbacks na sirain ang PCB ng inverter ref. So ang binili ko conventional pa rin.. Hehehe.. 10 years na naman ito..

  yeah mali haha. i realize may computation pa pala (consumption*price per kWh). so 10 php cost = 0.91 kWh * 11 php/kWh (yung rate dati). so 0.91 kWh ang consumption ng ref at the minimum setting and walang laman.
  
  kapag turned off mga ilaw and unplugged lahat no change sa balance. minsan naiiwan ko nakasaksak yung electric fan for many days pero no change pa rin sa daily balance. so i think walang minimum?

  tama ba yung compute ko haha? sabi dito monthly 15.6 kWh. so around 0.52 per day compared sakin na 0.91.

  Moral lesson: NEVER believe claims made by brands. Parang yung claim ng Carrier na yung Xpower Gold 3 daw nila eh nasa P1.50 per hour lang ang konsumo at 18deg high fan setting. Pero yun pala eh ginawa sa kwarto na walang heat load tapos insulated na parang ice box. Laking kalokohan.
