This is just what I need. I am currently in the phase of getting a contractor and already paid a minimal design fee to my chosen contractor (3D perspective design only). After reading, now I am thinking of taking a break after getting the blue print, BOM, etc. and think more carefully on my next steps. Kudos to you sir.

Tiling around 36sqm with 60x60 tiles, more or less i'll be using around 110 pieces, how many bags of tile adhesives do i need to buy? Got a contractor na pero akin lahat nang materials. Kung siya mag provide dagdag nang 600/sqm excluding yung tiles.

not an expert on this matter sir pero here's my estimate:
1 bag of ABC tile adhesive 25kg price: approx. Php 250 (not sure sa price)
1 bag coverage (based on ABC spec sheet for 30x30 tiles): 4 sq.m
since mas malaki yung tile mo, you'll need thicker mortar: let's assume you'll cover only 2 sq.m
36 sq.m. floor area / 2 sqm per bag = 18 bags of adhesive
this is assuming na sementado and maayos na yung floor mo na ita-tile
Cost:
18 bags x Php 250 = Php 4500
Contractor price 600x36 = Php 21,600
Guesstimate ko lang to sir, I've done some diy tiling sa bahay pero mostly 20x20 or 30x30 tiles
don't have an idea kung gaano kakapal dapat yung bed pag 60x60
anyway, what I'm trying to say though is mukhang rip-off yung 600/sqm na quote ng contractor mo just for the adhesive
PS:
you could ask this sa papagbilhan mo na hardware, they usually have good idea on how much you'll need

Thanks, yung dagdag actually covers everything just in case after removing the existing tiles they need to do additional things and need more materials.
At least i have an idea na. Thanks again.

possible ba na iremove yung pader ng bahay sa likod para maextend yung floor area hanggang sa dulo ng lot? same din sa 2nd floor, remove yung pader ng kwarto then extend hanggang sa dulo? bale instead of lagyan lang ng bubong ang area for dirty kitchen, idugtong mismo sa bahay by removing the walls. thanks.

consult first sa civil engr. if puwede pa extend, baka
