we dined last friday at café ilang ilang kasi birthday ni daddy even though he passed away already. seafood night nila so medyo marami silang ino offer compared to regular days.
I was able to eat lobster thermidor, the usual us prime ribs was there, scallops was abundant. all in all, it was a satisfying night. my mom paid 1.3k as she was already discounted while we paid 1.4k/pax. 2.9k/pax is their regular rate for that day. as a bonus, I was able to talk to the chef in the Japanese section to cook for me a plate of those raw salmon. actually, bawal nga yun pero nakiusap lang ako kasi hindi ako nakain ng hilaw.

Pros:
1. Curacha, Mud Crab, Sugpo, Scalops, Thailand Shrimp(i forgot the name but its HUGE). Ofcourse there's the usual jap foods.
2. Wagyu, beef cheek, other steaks(i just ordered wagyu and tasted the cheek). Soups/Noodles are also available.
3. Appetizers and Desserts galore.
Cons:
1. 2.1k price tag
2. 2 kinds of free juice only(iced tea and some kind of four season juice).
3. Not much variety but choices are not bad.
My comment:
Will go again, only if somebody will pay for my bill or 50% off. Very good ambiance but the lights can be improved. Foods are above average good but not much variety.
Target customers:
For people who can pay extra and wants better and not so common food.

food selection was just okay, nakulangan ako actually
most memorable for me yung grilled oyster, carbonara and seafood chowder
disappointing yung carving station, specifically yung roast beef, baka hindi maganda yung part na nabigay sakin, plus they only have one type of sauce, gravy pa.
ribs was even more terrible, halos walang makain sa tigas, ang hirap tanggalin ng laman sa bones
filipino section was very much lacking, 5 types of food lang ata meron, tapos wala pang kare-kare, yun pa naman lagi kong main sa mga buffet
everything else is pretty much average for me

Wala yatang restaurant sa SM North that would fit your criteria. Why not a hotel restaurant or outside the mall.
nako boss nakakaen na kame dyan .. nung medyo bago bago pa .. hnd kame nag enjoy ang bagal mag refil ng food ang onte ng choices typical na mga luto lang .. hindi din ganun kasarap .. opinyon ko lang yan ha .. malay ko baka ngayon mas madame na choices at mas okay na compare dati ..
