Seagate warranty straight to singapore at no cost (read FAQ on Page 1)

  kung bubuksan mo hindi po ba mahahalata na nabuksan na baka ma-void ang warranty?
  kasi if makuha mo yung hdd baka madetect yun direct sa pc at makuha mo ang files
  
  pero if mavoid warranty- better pa-rma nyo na sir if may warranty pa

  Pa-advise nmn po. Yun Seagate Backup Plus Desktop External (4 TB) ko working pa nun Christmas pero this year lang ayaw na mag turn-on. Dinala ko na sa Villman pero tinry lang nila kabitan ng iba adapter and ayaw pa din mag power on. Pano ko po kaya makukuha yun files ko bago ko ipa RMA?
  
  Wala naman symptoms na bibigay yun HD ko e. Ok naman sya pagnanood me ng movies through HD. Yun lang bigla ayaw na mag-on.

  Ano mas mahalaga sayo yung files or yung hardisk?
  Pero pwede mo buksan at ibalek sa dati yan basta maingat ka magbukas. Google search mo kung pano be sure maibalek mo sa original na itsura. Mga dapat mong ingatan edges wag mapipingas at yung mga lock ng plastic wag mapingas.

  Thanks po sa reply. Ask ko lang po pagpo nagpa RMA ako same HDD pa din po ba yun babalik sa kin? If yun PCB po ang problem ng HDD ko at nashort po ito dahil sa voltage. Ififix po ba to ng Seagate? Or ibang unit na ang babalik sa kin. May chance po kaya mafix po ni Seagate yun problem at andun pa din sa HDD ko yun files ko?

  ipm nyo lang po ako dito willing po ako sumagot ng kaya ko
  
  wag nyo po ako itxt kasi mostly pang importante lang yung load ko
  madalang lang ako mag-subs sa unli

  ^any anti-static bag will do, sa akin noong nag pa warranty ako ng HDD sa kanila ginamit ko yung static bag ng motherboard ko noon, medyo oversized sya pero pwede na. tapos lagay mo lang sa isang box, I used the standard card board box from my router and pack it there.
  
  All I do now is ship it to LBC, set mo yung mailing address based on 1st post, sabihin mo lang sa ahente for RMA yung item, they know the SOP regarding of RMA delivery items.
  
  after a week and half, dumating na yung replacement, the box I used is delivered back to me pero nawala na yung oversized static bag na ginamit ko, but that doesnt matter anyway.

  ^Bakit bumalik yung box mo? Rejected? Hard carton box kasi ang ginagamit nila for rma replacements.

  as far as i know galing pa ng singapore yung hdd na pinapadala nila as replacement with new fresh box
  yung pinadala naman natin is hanggang dyan lang yan sa manila
  yung mga sirang hdd iniipon yata in styro (20 or 25pcs hdd per styro) then container back to factory (baka mali suspetsa ko)
  pero hindi na babalik yung box mo
  
  unless bago na yung rules nila

  Pwede po bang ipaRMA ung natanggal ung socket ng usb 3.0. natanggal ung buong part ng tanggalin ko ung cord.

  1 week na sa seagate yung 2 internal hdd drives ko. Wala pa rin shipping order. Normal ba to? Last na pa rma ko mabilis lang pina ship dito sa Pinas.

  permanent ba yanga naiwan na yan? o natatanggal yan na as normal usb cord?
  if normal usb cord yan, try mo gamitan ng longnose pliers na hinay hinay para makuha
  if walang damage yung port, go mo na

  minsan may problema sa stocks, shipping or internal problem kaya nadedelay
  madalas na reason, walang stocks

  @infoseeker natatanggal naman yung usb chord sa port sir. ang problem is "loose" na yung port kaya di na maread yung hd. kaya gusto ko sana ipa rma. kaso baka void nga lang dahil sa port.

  ngayon ko lang natutunan yun RMA dito sa Pilipinas..kaya nagFile na ako para sa HGST(walang mahanap na thread)bought 2013, died 2014, next month na maExpire yun warranty, buti nalang hehe.. ang nangyari dun ay nahulog yun aking laptop mga 1ft, ok pa nun una pero bumagal nalang habang tumatagal hanggang sa naCorrupt yun dual boot ko ng W7 at Linux mint..any chance na maVoid yun warranty ko dun? it's in good shape with the warranty sticker intact, last attempt of rescuing it , nakapagInstall pa ng Windows8.1 pero naghaHang na talaga.

  good day po mga sir ask ko lang kung void warranty ba ito? seagate external po sya under pa naman ng warranty pero meron syang physical damage sinubukan buksan yung external although hindi naman sya talaga na open void na po kaya ito thanks in advance!
