  Yan di ang binigay ni Seagate sa akin ngayon sa papa RMA ko na external HDD.
  
  Nakailan RMAed din ako dati pero sa old address, UPS SCS (Philippines), Inc
  Queensway Avenue, lahat naman ay successful. Try ko lang dyan sa bagong address.

  Ok ba gumamit ng surveillance seagate 3tb hd pang desktop use (OS, Games and Software applications)? Meron bang speed or performance issue or mas ok pa rin yun barracuda?

  Nakuha ko rin sa wakas, nagkaproblema lang sa delivery address ko na kaya naman sana remedyuhan ni UPS. Shipped via lbc last Aug 31, got an email last Sept 5 about the tracking information, lumapag sa Pinas Sept 6 and for delivery sana the same day kaso ewan ki UPS hehe, salamat sa information galing dito sa thread.   guys, need help. i have a 1TB Seagate Slim Backup+ external drive which doesn't display as a drive anymore in windows. here are other details.
  - this is used mainly as an entertainment drive and is plugged int to an LG LED TV 24/7.
  - the external drive seem to be ok (driver ok, detected in disk management, passed in SeaTools, storage intact) except that the drive cannot be seen in explorer. tried assigning a letter to the drive in disk management but it is disabled.
  
  did anyone experience this before? how did you fix it? appreciate any info I can get for this. as much as possible, i wouldn't want to resort to reformatting.

  Check S.M.A.R.T status with HD Tune or similar diagnostics software.

  If the external drive appears OK-- no SMART errors, no strange noises (clicking, scratching, etc)-- but looks like it's not formatted, you could try searching for data recovery software, especially one that looks for the partition and file system tables. TBH though, it's been a while since I've attempted something like this, and have forgotten the names of the programs I've tried . :O

  @infoseeker.i mean healthy ang disk, walang clicking sound, spinning is smooth. yung mga ganun ang ibig Kong sabihin na ok ang drive. pero hindi nakikita sa windows Explorer kaya di maaccess ang files.
  alam ko kasi kelangan mag fail sya sa tests para pwede pa warranty.

  Check Disk Management if it sees a partition in the external drive.

  yes awakeruze, nakikita sya sa disk management.
  total storage size matches the 1TB capacity.
  there are 3 partitions, all are healthy.
  wala lang syang drive letter nor name. pag I right click ko all options are disabled except the delete drive.
  I'll post pictures later baka mas makatulong. ni run ko rin ang long test sa SeaTools kagabi, ongoing pa sya as of this morning. mamaya siguro Oks na yun.

  update:
  HD tune result = healthy
  Decided na ireformat ko na lang. Successful and narecover ko na lahat ng files. question ko na lang ngayon is how to reformat ^^. walang options sa disk management. heck i even checked bios pero wala din pala. any inputs?

  update:
  I used the MiniTool Partition Wizard (which I believe has more features than other apps). Formatted the partitions then eventually deleted all partitions. Allocated them to a new one and voila, fresh new 1TB drive. Time to restore some files. I think doing it via HD Tune would also result to the recovering the drive. Thanks everyone.

  question lang po paano po pumunta dito sa lugar na ito? hindi kasi ako familiar gusto ko kasi ako mismo mag bibigay ng sira kong external na hard drive pwede po ba malaman kung paano? mangagaling po ako sa cavite.

  The drop-off point is in Multinational Village in P'que. Once you get to Coastal Mall or Baclaran, take a jeep bound for Sucat. Tell the driver to drop you off at Multinational Village. Landmarks: Puregold supermarket followed by a Unioil gas station on the right side.

  iniisip ko kasing ilagay sa anti-static na plastic tapos ilagay sa karton then bubble wrap tapos ipapadala ko sa UPS SCS via LBC, okay na kaya un? may mga kailangan pa bang documents? hindi kasi nababasa ng BIOS ung hard drive e kakabili lang via amazon..did the troubleshooting pero wala talaga..

  about sa document piladala ko yong document na pinadala ng seagate sakin about RMA print ko lang din sinabay ko na dun sa balot ng lbc..
  
  Basta request ka mona sa seagate site for RMA sir saka mo padala.. issue ng harddrive ko is nag lalag pag nag cocopy files and mag hang bigla tapos maraming warnings sa HD Tune.. kaya pina RMA ko na

  ahh..ung HDD ko naman ayaw basahin ng BIOS.
  so nagObserve ako, upon boot up ng PC the HDD start spinning then may dalawang malakas na click sound tapos stop na ung spin. (i thought it spinned kasi sa simula nagbaVibrate yung HDD)

  and nong ni register ko sya sa seagate uli warranty expired na ahahaha..
  
  Ganon po ba yong pag tapos ng RMA expire na ang warranty?

  ^ IIRC the end of the warranty period should be the same as the original drive, or 90 days, whichever is longer.
