Hi po,
I got some problem w/ my hard disk (internal) due to water spilling. Di sya naoff kagad ng kapatid ko. Ngayon, ayaw ng gumana ng hard disk even when plugged in via enclosure (no clicks, no vibrating, no power). The laptop was sitll ok after a few days na pinatuyo and we are using a new hdd for it. Problem is may mga super important files on the last HDD....
Is there anything I can do w/ this (especially walang budget sa pagbackup because it\'s around 10k)? :( Thanks in advance sa reply!

Hi
I need help with my Razer blackwidow keyboard, the rest of the keys are working except for the pipe symbol and numbers 1 to 4.
Any idea how to get them fixed or someone who knows how to get it fixed.
Help would be appreciated.
TIA

^ You need someone with electronics experience, as well as an idea of how keyboards work.
Having a digital multimeter (DMM) is also a big help.
First is to check if the affected keyswitches are still working. Set the DMM in continuity mode, poke the legs of one of the affected keyswitch and press the key. The DMM should either beep, or resistance should read zero.
If all the switches are working, then the issue is probably in the circuit board.
Second is to follow the circuit traces on the affected keys. The objective is to look for any sign of physical damage or breaks in the circuit traces.

And pag reinstall driver ayaw ulit tumuloy sa OS. May pagasa pa po ba to?

Good day mga sirs. May binigay sakin na CPU ang tita ko, nung tinest ko nagpower-on naman siya kaso no POST, no display sa onboard tsaka sa gpu. Walang beep sound. Yung processor or yung motherboard.
Proc: Intel i5 3340
Mobo: Asus B75M-A
Thanks in advance!

I'm among some that fix bent/broken pins here in SEA but its not cheap, seriously if its a non-high-end board and your not willing to shell out cash at the cost of a medium and above range board don't bother having it repaired the proper way. Though there are ways to do a pseudo fix but its labor intensive, also there may be conditionals on its guarantee and still it'll be a bit pricey.
FYI: Also AMD GPU's are repairable but at a cost that isn't viable its better to save and buy a new one or working used one, Just an to give you a range of cost to those who dream of repairing AMD boards correctly, smd, consumables and thermals cost is rather expensive that's including importation. Compared to socket repair on motherboards which is already costly. The cost for the real way of repairing AMD are nearly twice of that and Nvidia GPU cards is around half of that. The reflow thing is a pseudo way but its not a proper way.
Else your best bet is check if still under local, region warranty (not store) then have it returned (just pay the under the table fee).
For PSU repair ask kuya nel_on98 he's the most decent PSU repair guy I have met in Metro Manila.
You can PM me either here, badcaps.net or overclock.net for some details.

All other devices connected to the power strip eh ok naman like, speakers, monitor, mobile phone (Charging), printerat walang ground.

It doesn't work that way. Either get a more powerful fan, or adjust the fan speed settings, either in the BIOS or the setup program provided by the motherboard manufacturer.

Hi guys! Hope you could help me with my problem.
Nilinis ko kasi siya due to freezing and slow boot of windows 10.
My PC Specs:
Intel i5 3470
Mobo Gigabyte H61M-DS2 R3
520 W StrikeX PSU
8gb ram
Aerocool Mid Casing
Palit Gtx 970
2 units of 1TB hard disk
Sayang ung PC di ko malaro mga high end games ko (NBA 2k18, Shadow of War, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, Call of duty World War II
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Guys, can you help me out? baka may marefer kayo na dell xps laptop technician. dami ko na kasi ginawang troubleshooting pero ayaw parin maayos.
Dell XPS 13 9350
Issue: Black / Blank screen after Dell Logo.
While logo is being shown, nagfflicker ang screen, pero kahit na anong angle nung screen hindi naman nawawala so i think the screen is ok kasi na check ko na rin yung screen test sa dell. Function + f8.
Baka motherboard na ang sira?
Please help me out. need to repair my laptop asap.
Thank you.

^ not a technician but if the Dell logo appears it means the system is working, including the mobo... if nothing appears after the logo, test the hard drive first to check if you are able access the partitions there.
If you are able to get to the DELL bios without issues, try to make yourself a usb based windows installer (windows iso then burn to a flash drive using rufus) to test if the system is working the way it was supposed to.... If the Windows installer boots up normally but cannot read the hard drive or its partitions, the hard drive or the system responsible for reading of data from the hard drive might need to be looked at.
Worked as Dell XPS tech support for 6 months...

At least 2k for board-level repair. Probably more depending on the damage.

If yes,
4. posible ba palitan ang eMMC chip to a UFS?
Salamat sa makakasagot.

1. madali ba gawin ito
Not at all. Those who could do this generally fall under one of the ff:
1. laptop repair shop technicians
2. game console technicians (same skillset and equipment as #1)
3. well-equipped electronics hobbyists
4. brave mofos with self-built equipment who are ready to fail more than once and keep trying
Laptop repair shops have the advantage here, as they have contact with suppliers and/or dead laptops to harvest parts (esp processors) from.
kailangan bang palitan din ang BIOS chip?
In general, no.
posible ba palitan ang eMMC chip to a UFS?
That depends on the device itself. If it's designed to work with both eMMC and UFS flash chips, then the answer is yes. That said, I'd wager the answer is "no" most of the time.

Got a Deepcool 750-M-2VL last black friday. DOA cya when I got it pero kind of pointless ipadala for warranty since baka mas mahal pa ung shipping (actually, iniwan cya ng sis ko when she went back, bulky+weight she can bring home better stuff). Was pretty busy so ngaun ko pa lang i-check uli.
Paperclip test causes then psu fan to spin naman but no power when connected to known good mobo and cpu. Haven't tried fixing a PSU before so asking here about difficulty. Pretty much is it worth the time?

Unless you know enough electronics to troubleshoot it, I'd say no.
With regards to testing PSUs, IMO it's not a good idea to use working motherboards because a bad PSU can damage it. To properly test them, you need to add loads to each voltage rail while measuring not just the output voltage but also the ripple, making sure that it follows the ATX specification.
