  • ^mid 2011 yun mac mini binigay sakin. used to be lion os pero ngayon yosemite.
  • Mga sirs, in your opinion, worth it pa ba bumili ng Mac Mini (Late 2012)?
  • ^Depende sa price and sa pag gamit.
  • @smuggy
13k po. For browsing, light Photoshop work tsaka media player. Pwede na kaya yan?
  • tama si smuggy. Kung sobrang mura why not. But know that the model is already deprecated starting mojave.
  • @adonis827

Iniisip ko nga rin, last software update na yata nya ang Mojave. Tsaka parang may issue yata sa overheating?
  • ^Baka pwede pa bumaba sa 13K?

Kung browsing and media player lang, that would be more than enough. And if what you mean by "light" photoshop, is simple edits lang sa mga pics, then ok na yan (provided, iupgrade mo ang RAM to at least 8GB)...

I've had my 2012 Mac Mini run 10-12 hours a day / 5-6 days a week... it was my daily driver for work dati... I've never experienced overheating issues.

Regarding software, wag nyo na masyado pinagiintindi yan... as long as it can do the job. Yung current OS is hindi naman day and night ang difference from 5 generations ago.

Try mo tawaran ng 10K kung pwede, since we're talking about an obsolete model here :)

  • Thanks for your insights, smuggy! :)
  • Mga sirs, isa pa. Good deal na ba 'to for 23K? Or mahal?

    Mac mini 2014
    2.8GHz i5
    8GB RAM
    1TB Fusion drive
  • ^Tough choice to make.

Kase you can build a more powerful machine for about 15K - then just Hackintosh it.

Also, with that price, wala pang Keyboard, Mice, Monitor yan... which would be another +/- 10K... so mga nasa 30K+ din ang ending nyan. - makakabili ka na ng previous gens old na MBA/MBP nito, or an older model iMac, which are all "complete" systems.

Dun na lang ako sa nauna mong post - yung 13K (tawaran mo pa konti)... then upgrade na lang ng RAM and SSD pag nagka budget ulet (DIY naman na upgrades to, and madali lang).

Nag MacMini din ako a few years back... I'll never go back to that. Moving forward, para sa akin iMac/Mac Pro na lang talaga for desktops... or an MBP + external display.
  • Hmm... Oo nga 'no. Thanks ulit smuggy .

  • What's the best I can buy for below 50K? I'll be using ProPresenter + 3 displays which are all 1080p

My options are: Mac Mini 2019, refurbished iMac 2014+,
