Laptop problem:
Yung laptop ko lagi na corrupt ang OS. Every week mga two times ako mag reinstall ng OS. Ano kaya ang problema? Gagana sya about 2-3 days tapos pag boot corrupted na. I upgraded the memory to 8GB(2 sticks) from 4GB and replace its HD to SSD.
I checked the health of the SSD ok naman. Yung memory test ok naman. Any tips will be appreciated.

^ When you say "corrupted na," what exactly do you see on the screen on boot up?

The system is prompting me to repair the system or the OS does not load. I created a repair usb system drive for this and sometimes it works and sometimes it fails to repair. Most of the time i need to reinstall the OS to fix the problem.

^ Okay, so before you upgraded the ram and hdd, everything was working fine? If you still have the old hdd, try that and see if the system holds longer.

I upgraded the HD and added memory on the first day i bought my laptop. I can't use the replaced HD because i used it my desktop.

I run memtest and results came back ok. No errors or problems whatsoever.
@all
The laptop battery also failed. It only runs when it is plugged in wall outlet. Could this be a factor? I just bought this laptop this year.

^ Might be a good idea to RMA it as soon as possible before the warranty runs out. But you will have to put the original hdd back and remove the ram you added. Brand new ba yung ssd at ram na nilagay mo?

Take note of the specs and compare it to some laptops for sale here on TPC. From there, malalaman mo na kung sulit ba or hindi.

Good Day, i upgraded my laptop to samsung 970 evo nvme ssd from intel 660p. kaso hindi ko maboot yung windows sa samsung ssd.
laptop is rog strix3 hero.
nagclone muna ako sa sa hdd ng os then lipat sa samsung ssd. pero ayaw mag boot. ano puede gawin? thank you.

^ You said you cloned from an hdd to the new Samsung SSD, where did that hdd came from? Or is it a clone from the 660p? If it's a clone from the 660p, then try Startup Repair using a Windows DVD or flash drive.

Need help san kaya makakahanap ng adaptor ng internal HDD ng VAIO VPC S series. lalagay ko sana HDD ng old laptop then pag open ko wala pa siyang adaptor. where to find one?

Okay ba gamitin itong epoxy brand na ito to repair plastic LCD back cover ng laptop? If yes, matibay/tumatagal naman ba?
Balak ko sana mag-DIY, nag crack yung mga pinagkakapitan ng hinge screws dun sa plastic lcd back cover. Will be using epoxy to repair the screw holes, parang ganito:

I'd say it should hold pretty well, pero ang ginagawa ko madalas dyan is, tumutunaw ako ng plastic from a different junk laptop (or any other random thing made in plastic na sa palagay ko eh similar plastic ng sa laptop) using soldering iron and yun ang magiging pinaka "glue" to hold the brass screw holders. Ang problema mo, mataas ang pressure dyan sa area na yan kasi hinge, maaring hindi tumagal.
At this point, i-try mo na lang. Be precise as much as possible since kailangan mag line up yan sa mga screws.
Update mo kami dito kung ano resulta.

^cool, thanks for the inputs bro. Yun lang, wala akong mga junk laptops na pwede gamitin and hindi din ako mayadong sanay sa soldering iron :)
Subukan ko muna Epoxy Steel, or meron din ako nakita nagbebenta ng J-B Weld. Hopefully kayanin muna ng store-bought adhesives kahit at least another year :)

Ano pong ma susuggest nyong bang for the buck na laptop for 30-40K range? Di po hardcore gaming more on microsoft office use and Dota 2 siguro.

It could be a lot of things like power button/board, mobo, power adapter, etc.. Can you give us more information?
Any light when you plug in the power adapter? Do you hear the fan running when you try to turn it on?

Hi All,
Since may toshiba died. And i dont have plans to have it repaired due to multiple physical issue's I discovered. Confirm ko lang if possible itransfer un procie to another laptop. Sayang kasi, plan ko itransfer sa i3 acer ko if compatible. Kasing dali lang ba siya ng desktop. Thanks

How old is that Toshiba? Because all laptops from 2015 onward have soldered CPUs. Ivy Bridge (3rd gen Core i3/i5/i7 circa 2012) was the last generation where socketed CPUs were in mainstream laptops.

Around 2015 nga siya na purchase. I've posted this prior to making some research and apparently di pala siya ganun kadali. Just like what you said most likely soldered to. If hindi man, un newer Acer i3 ko naman and hindi pwede palitan. I guess scrap nalang talaga siya, sayang un i7
